Helmed by Remo
D'Souza and the third part of one of the most hit
franchises, Race 3 features Salman Khan in the lead
along with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah,
SaqibSaleem and Freddy Daruwala in pivotal roles. &pictures, Naye
India Ka Blockbuster Movie Channel is all set to premiere Race 3 on Sunday,
28th April at 11.30am. The movie focuses on the
relationships and loyalties of the members of a criminal family which are
tested when they come across some shocking revelations while planning and
executing one of their biggest heists. Packed with glitz, glam and style, the
movie also boasts of stunning locales, an intricate plot, serpentine twists and
turns, good looking men and women double crossing each other, and adrenaline
pumping stunts and chases to keep you on the edge of the seat. Salman Khan who
essays the role of Sikander Singh in the movie gets candid and speaks about his
role and his association with the film.
1. How
did you decide to be a part of Race 3?
The film is very different from the
others that I have done in the past. I was apprehensive about taking up the
film as I didn’t know where I would fit and how would I be able to contribute
to the movie. But after making a few adjustments and alterations, I
decided that it would be a fun movie to do and associate with. According to me,
Race 3 is a musical action bonanza where every element in the film is larger
than life.
2. How
would you describe Sikander Singh? How is it different from the other roles you
have played?
Sikander is an extremely sharp guy
with a dark sense of humour. He is ruthless to the point that he can suppress
all his emotions thus giving him an edge over others. It is maybe because of
this trait that very less is revealed about him right till the end.
3. Anil
Kapoor has been the one actor that has been constant in the Race franchise. How
was it like working with him?
Anil Kapoor is one of the most generous and
talented actors that I've ever worked with. He is one actor who genuinely
respects the work he gets and makes sure that he portrays every character with
utmost perfection. Be it Kishan in No Entry or Shamsher Singh in Race 3 – he is
OUTSTANDING. When it comes to this movie, even though he has been a part of the
Race franchise since its inception, he came with a fresh slate and worked well
with everyone and made sure that his co-stars were as comfortable as he or she
should be
4. This
has been your second film with Jacqueline Fernandez. Between Heeriye and Jumme
Ki Raat, which song is your personal favourite?
Jumme Ki Raat was a chartbuster and
Heeriye saw us ace our chemistry. It would be wrong to pick one song over the
other. I loved both.
The idea was to make this film bigger
than the previous films in the franchise. Right from acing the action scenes, to
maintaining the look and feel of the movie, we went all out. There were a
few hiccups and it was a lot of hard work, but once we saw the film we were
happy with the outcome. Jacqueline and Daisy’s performances were also
commendable.
