The
winners of 'Whizdom Club NextGen Emerging Talent, Season 9' during the Asian
Designer Week, Winter Edition 2019', Nimeshika Vemulakonda & Meetali Sikhwal
got an amazing opportunity to showcase their Fall Winter collection at Madmood
Milano Fashion Week. The young designer duo got the golden ticket to the
fashion capital of the world, Milan under the designer exchange program
facilitated by AFDC. They have always been
appreciated for their thought process behind concepts and ideas. However, this
time they went beyond their comfort zone, they experimented with textures and
ornamentation that were absolutely handcrafted and made from the scratch.
The
duo hit the ramp with their collection at Madmood Milan Fashion Week on 18th
February 2020 along with many established and talented international designers.
The young Indian designers are quite excited about their debut in
Milan and stated, "We feel fortunate
to showcase our fall winter collection at the fashion capital of the world.
This appears like a dream come true, all thanks to Asian Designer Week."
Additionally, Mr. Robby
Rawat, Founder, FIO (parent company of Asian Designer Week) proudly stated, "We are one of the most popular fashion
weeks among youngsters, and it is because we have been able to bring a platform
for the young talent in fashion and design industry. ADW provides them with a
real-time exposure to the fashion world and calling sky as our limit, we are
soon going to bring forth a platform that caters to broader needs of the
fashion industry."
Marianna Miceli, founder of
Madmood Milano Fashion Week quoted "It's
commendable to see such great collection from these young designers. We are
proud of our association with the Asian Designer Week, the work that they are
doing in India for young talent is something everyone around the world needs to
see."
