In her decade with the Prestige Group, Uzma has single-handedly unified the company's branding and strengthened its public image. Uzma is currently responsible for all marketing communication and branding-related activities for the Prestige Group. In an extension of this role, she also handles all promotional activities for The Collection, UB City - South India’s only luxury mall. She is the visionary behind ‘Art Bengaluru’, one of India’s most reputed annual art festivals, dedicated to celebrating artists from around the world, while giving everyone a platform to appreciate all aspects of art - from music to tea-making and from crafts to theatre. Under Uzma's leadership, UB City has grown to be a landmark destination for all things luxury, art, and culture. She has been instrumental in Bangalore's growth as a 'Culture Hub' for Theatre, Music, Films, Art and Fashion-related events.
Among the many hats she dons, she is also currently the Editor of ‘The Luxury Collection’. ‘The Luxury Collection’ is a premium luxury lifestyle magazine circulated to HNIs in India and abroad. It is also available on stands nationally and is placed in many luxury pockets across the globe like the Four Seasons Hotel - Paris and Chicago, The Dorchestor Collection Hotels, Yacht Clubs and across multiple luxury hotels in India. The content of the magazine is focused on luxury retail brands, travel, food and wine, international events, art and all things Luxury.
A passionate entrepreneur with a keen sense of what the Indian market wants, Uzma founded Sublime Galleria - India's first sky gallery - to give emerging artists a platform to grow. Sublime Galleria is also involved in commissioning art for high-end hotels, hospitals, offices and residences, and in the procurement of art for private and independent collectors, exhibitions and auctions, specific to quality, price & artist profile. Uzma also started Sublime House of Tea (SHOT) in 2013 with the aim of providing rare, exotic flavours with Indian premium tea as base, to tea lovers here.
During her stint, the Prestige Group has been widely recognized, both nationally and internationally, winning numerous industry awards. Uzma has single-handedly championed this effort and the awards’ list includes reputed organisations like FIABCI, CNBC, Cityscape, CREDAI and PRCI, to name a few. She has also been conferred with titles such as ‘Female Real Estate Professional Of The Year’, ‘Woman Super Achiever in Real Estate’ , and was recently awarded 'Woman Achiever of the Year' at the Global Real Estate Brand Awards 2016.
On a personal note, her hobbies include traveling, meeting people, reading and cooking. Uzma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with focus on Management, from the American Inter Continental University in London. She has graduated with Honors and a dual degree.
