Grand Maratha Foundation spreads joy and happiness by celebrating Diwali with underserved tribal community people and Homeless people


November 2, 2021: Grand Maratha Foundation (GMF), a non-governmental organization known for its work across Maharashtra, celebrated the festival of Diwalithis year with underserved tribal community across Bhiwandi, Karjat and Homeless people & Rag pickers from slums of Mumbai and Thane. GMF distributed Diwali sweets, Clothes, Woolens, Blankets, Bed sheets, Footwear, Dry ration and Snacks on 30th and 31st of October 2021. The donation benefitted more than 1000 beneficiaries across slums and other targeted areas.

 

The initiative was planned under the Guidance of Ms. Madhavi Shelatkar (Trustee GMF) and Mr. Rohit Shelatkar (Founder GMF) and the distribution was supported by volunteers of Grand Maratha Foundation.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr Rohit Shelatkar, Film Producer & Founder, Grand Maratha Foundation said, “As Grand Maratha Foundation’s mission is to empower the underprivileged through various initiatives, this initiative for the underserved, homeless people and rag pickers across slums of Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi and Karjat will allow them to enjoy the festivities as much as others.”
