The platform also collaborated with prominent actors Parvati Nair and Abhishek Verma and Youtuber Anisha Dixit for its online Christmas activity and interaction with children from the Miracle Foundation India
Mumbai, December 2021: To imbibe the spirit of ‘giving’ that the festive season of December brings with Christmas and New Year’s, HeyHey!, a premium personalized celebrity video platform in India, had collaborated with Miracle Foundation India (an NGO) alongside prominent television actor Abhishek Verma, Youtuber Anisha Dixit and actor-model Parvati Nair with the intention to spread joy, cheer and smiles abound and make a difference amongst underprivileged children.
The Christmas campaign by HeyHey! was spread across both offline and online spaces in a bid to promote and garner robust support from individuals across the country. Its online activity comprised a competition unique to HeyHey!—where the platform partners with a particular celebrity for a lucky draw. To participate, one can buy raffle tickets and get a digitally signed image of the said celebrity and stand a chance to win the lucky draw prize, which is a personalized video message from the particular celebrity.
However, this Christmas, HeyHey!’s competition came with an altruistic twist. The celebrity engagement platform teamed up with Parvati Nair to be the face of the HoHeyHey! Competition and promote it on her social media handles. Meanwhile, the money spent by participants on each raffle ticket of this competition was added to a pool of funds that the platform had put together to donate to Miracle Foundation India, an NGO with whom HeyHey! partnered. The objective of this activity was also to successfully involve the masses in contributing to a good cause this Christmas. Not only that, but every time someone bought a ticket to participate, they received a digitally signed image of Parvati Nair with a message thanking them. Furthermore, one lucky winner was chosen each day for the duration of the competition—leading to a total of five winners during the five days of the competition. These winners received a free HeyHey! personalized video message from Parvati Nair, in addition to the contribution they had made to the cause as the prize.
For their offline Christmas activity, HeyHey! collaborated with Abhishek Verma to join them for the activity in person and Anisha Dixit for a Zoom interaction on Christmas Eve (24th December) with 25 children from the New Life Children’s Home orphanage, a part of the family of the Miracle Foundation India—an NGO that works to improve the lives of orphaned and underprivileged children. The Zoom interaction saw the TV actor and the YouTuber play games as well as engage the children in a fun Q and A session. Not only that, but the HeyHey team sang Christmas carols for them too! Along with this cheery interactive activity with the kids, the team also made a donation to the international NGO, which will be utilized to provide nutritious and wholesome meals to the children of the orphanage.
While interacting with the children, Anisha Dixit mentioned, “Overcoming fear, believing in oneself and always moving forward can create endless possibilities and open doors to everything beautiful. It is a life lesson that even the COVID-19 pandemic taught us—that although it may be challenging to cope with circumstances—coming together, teamwork and having faith in oneself can certainly show us the way to the light at the tunnel’s end.” Abhishek Verma added, “I am delighted to celebrate this festival of gratitude with the kids. I wish them joy, strength, happiness and the power to learn from all the lessons life offers.”
Caleb Franklin - Founder & CEO - HeyHey! Global said, “The month of December always brings with it abundant joy and excitement, seeing everyone getting together with their loved ones to engage in and celebrate the festivities, alongside expressing gratitude for the year that has passed. At HeyHey!, we understand how significant marking and celebrating important occasions can be and are always looking for ways to add a touch of warmth and spark to them. With this being our first year of existence in India, we endeavoured to bring cheer to underprivileged kids not just by donating to a prominent NGO that works for their upliftment but also by interacting, playing games and singing carols with them; and it was heartening to see the smiles lighting up their faces as we celebrated this ‘Festival of Giving’ together.”
Aparajita from New Life Children’s Home said, “We are immensely grateful that the kids, who are based in Telangana, had the opportunity to virtually connect with the HeyHey! team and the celebrities based in Mumbai! Considering the pandemic situation, we were happy that it was possible to have a fun conversation over Zoom—although we would all have loved to meet Abhishek Verma, Anisha Dixit and the team in person. However, interacting and playing games with them despite the geographical distance truly made the kids’ day, and they had a great time!”
