Mumbai, 28th May 2022: One of the oldest and largest film festival for non – feature films in South Asia is organized by the Films Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. The 17th edition of Mumbai International Film Festival is all set to take place from 29th May – 04th June 2022 at National Film Museum.
The Founder and CEO, ShortsTV, Mr. Carter Pilcher will be gracing the event on 30th May 2022 by providing an incredible master class under the title, ‘What does it take to qualify your film for the Oscars’. This will be an insightful session to understand the process of eligibility on Oscar qualification and how a film is selected to be evaluated by the Oscar jury. One will get to know how an Oscar/BAFTA jury goes about evaluating a film for selection in detail.
That’s not all! There will be a theatrical screening of 2022 Oscar Nominated Live Action Short Films at Mumbai International Film Festival. ShortsTV will also interact with filmmakers and provide a platform to them for distribution on the ShortsTV network.
Mumbai International Film Festival will conduct multiple sessions like interactive workshops, Masterclass, open forum and B2B sessions apart from competition and non-competition sections. An array of eminent film personalities, documentary makers and film critics will come together to celebrate the cinema and the art of film making at the National Film Museum – a campus with 7 in built theatres.
