Mumbai, 1 August 2022 – The Czech auto major with factories in Pune and Aurangabad continues clocking consistent sales in India with the onset of Q3 and H2 2022. After having a record-breaking Q1 and H1 in 2022, ŠKODA AUTO India continued its steady run in July 2022 with the sale of 4,447 cars.

Zac Hollis, Brand Director, ŠKODA AUTO India, said, “This is usually the period where big purchases are kept on hold as it’s the monsoon and deferred till the festive season kicks off. Yet, we have clocked in solid numbers on the back of our made-for-India, INDIA 2.0 cars, the KUSHAQ and the SLAVIA. The OCTAVIA and SUPERB are doing well in their respective segments. And the KODIAQ has already sold out soon after its launch in January. We intend on keeping up this energy and shall very soon record 2022 as the Biggest Year yet for us in our 2-decade legacy in India.”

The month also marks the first anniversary of the first product under INDIA 2.0, the KUSHAQ, going on sale. July 2021 had marked the debut of an all-new, rejuvenated ŠKODA AUTO India implementing its INDIA 2.0 strategy on the back of the made-for-India, made-in-India MQB-A0-IN platform. It was a debut that set the ball rolling on a stream of updates and changes in ŠKODA AUTO’s India business that included a rapid expansion of customer touchpoints, penetrating the service network deeper and wider across India, a slew of customer-centric innovations, and maintenance and ownership packages that make owning a ŠKODA a hassle-free affair.

As of date ŠKODA AUTO India has already crossed 205+ customer touchpoints from 175 in December 2021. This has led to the company re-altering its projections to 250 touchpoints instead of the 225 it had earlier set itself. What has also boosted sales and customer satisfaction are the revolutionary changes ŠKODA AUTO India have brought about in the car purchase experience for customers with fully digitalised showrooms with First-in-India interactive and immersive features across the country.

Moreover, ŠKODA AUTO India has been pushing the envelope with warranty packages. Compared to the common 3-year warranty, ŠKODA AUTO India provides a 4-year/100,000 kms, whichever earlier warranty, as standard. In addition, a 2-year/unlimited km Parts and Battery Warranty, and a standard 3-year Paint Warranty and 6-year Corrosion Warranty on all car lines have further enhanced customer confidence and satisfaction and helped the company maintain the impetus in sales.
