Met Shri Arjun Meghwalji , Law Minister - Govt of India at his residence and strongly put forth the needs to make amendment in Sec 138 Negotiable Instrument Act since it has become very weak and it is used by frauds / defaulters of cheque bounce as a tool to safeguard them instead of complainant … we have suggested several amendments which will give enough tooth to this sec and than again business fraternity can rely on it . Meghwalji said he himself wants this instrument to be strong and welcomed FAM’s suggestion and told he would tell his concerned officers to soon connect with us . Also he recalled the Inauguration of FAM’s hall done in his august presence as a Chief guest and also accoladed FAM’s efforts for trading community of Maharashtra
