Mumbai, Dec 16: The Union Ministry of Power, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, has awarded Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai the second prize for its dedication, efforts, and achievements in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.
The Ministry of Power, Government of India launched a scheme in 1991, to give national recognition through awards to industries and establishments that have taken special efforts to reduce energy consumption while maintaining their production. These awards recognize outstanding achievements in Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency, regarding efforts that contribute significantly to the national goal of building an energy efficient and sustainable future.
The Chief Guest for the event was the Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar. Other esteemed leaders like Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power and Shri Srikant Nagulapalli, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power were also present. The ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 15th December 2024.
