Pisco Sour Week is celebrated all week across the world. What is a pisco sour, you ask? Pisco is a colorless grape native to the west of South America. This aguardiente is widely produced in Peru and Chile, both of who claim to have invented it. The Peruvians only press the grapes once to get the juice for the production of this unique spirit. By law in Peru the fermented juice can only be distilled once in copper pot stills to retain the maximum flavour of the grapes which are the essence of Pisco. Tabernero has been producing Pisco since as early as 1897.
