राजहंस विद्यालयाने कोविड- १९च्या प्रादुर्भावानंतर प्रथमच आपल्या यशस्वी खेळाडूंची मोट बांधत आजपासून मुंबईतील आपल्या भव्य प्रांगणात सराव सुरु केला आहे. शेकडो विद्यार्थी या मोहिमेत उत्साहाने सहभागी झाले आहेत. यावर्षी फ़ुटबाँल टीमचे कर्णधारपद अबीर जितानी याला देण्यात आले असून तो या खेळात विशेष प्रवीण आहे. तसेच सॉफ्टबॉल खेळातही त्याने उल्लेखनीय कामगिरी केली आहे. यावेळी सॉफ्टबॉल आणि बेसबॉलचे मुंबई उपनगर सचिव त्रिभुवन सिंग यांची विशेष उपस्थिती होती. फुटबॉल प्रशिक्षक प्रज्वल चंदन आणि सॉफ्टबॉल आणि बेसबॉल प्रशिक्षक विकी मिश्रा प्रशिक्षण कलेचे त्यांनी विशेष कौतुक केले.

फुटबॉल संघाचा कर्णधार अबीर जितानी आणि त्याच्या संघातील खेळाडू विद्यार्थ्यांना आपल्या विद्यालयाचे वर्चस्व कायम राखण्याचे मोठे आव्हान आहे. कर्णधार अबीर म्हणतो की, "कोविड-19मुळे आमच्यापैकी कोणीही तीन वर्षांपासून प्रत्यक्ष सराव केलेला नाही. आम्ही सातवीतून थेट १०वी मध्ये आणि मैदानातही आलो आहोत. त्यामुळे अनेक अडचणी आहेत. त्यासोबत आमच्या विद्यालयाची प्रतिष्ठा जपणं हेही आमचं कर्तव्य असल्याने त्याकडे आम्ही संधी आणि आव्हान म्हणून पहात आहोत. मला माझ्या संघातील सर्व खेळाडू मित्रांचे सहकार्य मिळत असून आमचे सर्व प्रशिक्षकआमचा खेळ सुधारण्यासाठीझटत आहेत. शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीमती कलादेवी गंगाधरनक्रीडा प्रमुख मनोज नायर प्रत्येक मुलाच्या कामगिरीकडे बारकाईने वैयक्तिकरित्या लक्ष देत आहेत.

या विद्यालयाच्या मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीमती कला गंगाधरन म्हणाल्या कि "आमचे सर्व विद्यार्थी खूपच सक्रिय आणि उत्साही आहे. पालकांचेही विशेष कौतुक करावे लागेल. आमचे विद्यालय सातत्याने खेळांना आणि खेळाडूंना प्रोत्साहन देत असते. माझ्यामते मुलांच्या आयुष्यात दोन महत्त्वाच्या गोष्टी असतातएक म्हणजे शिक्षण आणि दुसरे म्हणजे खेळ. खेळात मुलांनी सहभाग घेतल्यास त्यांचा उत्साह वाढतो आणि त्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासात याचा खूप फायदा होतो. त्यांच्यात विचार व नेतृत्व करण्याचे गुण तयार होतात. त्यांना लक्ष केंद्रित करण्याची सवय लागते आणि नकळतपणे त्यांचा सर्वांगीण विकास घडत जातो"

REHAU expands its product portfolio by collaborating with an international brand to market premium hardware products in India

JBCN SCHOOL STRIVES TO PROMOTE INTERNATIONALISM IN EDUCATION THROUGH ITS GLOBAL CURRICULUM

Mumbai, May 31st, 2022JBCN Education, a pioneer in the K-12 education segment in India, is creating pathways for its students into the global world by offering unique learning initiatives in its curriculum. Leveraging its worldwide collaborations across various schools, JBCN encourages learners to explore and embrace different countries, cultures, and nationalities as a part of its daily Education. 

JBCN has rolled this out across various levels (viz. pre-primary, primary, and secondary levels) to promote the spirit of Internationalism; for instance, the Pre-Primary learners engage in celebrations of various festivals across the world. This gives them an in depth understanding of different cultures, while helping them understand the similarities and contrasts, compared to celebrations in India. They engage in sessions with educators and peers on different themes, such as arts, crafts, music, and storytelling. So far, guest teachers from Singapore, Ghana, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, United States, UAE, Egypt, and Romania have interacted with the young learners. 

Students from Grade II to V participate in learner exchange programs with overseas students, which enables them to understand different cultures and exposes them to diversity, thereby helping learners exhibit a higher degree of cultural awareness. The collaboration has led to letter and greeting card exchanges, bringing back the concept of Pen pals, virtual global dialogues on important topics, and even masterclasses. Some of JBCN's transcontinental partners in this exchange include schools such as Charlotte DeHart Elementary School (USA), Ursula Taylor School (U.K.), Orchard Primary Academy (U.K.), Riverside School (Kenya), Manavgat Koleji (Turkey), Kau Yan School (Hong Kong), Fairview International School (Malaysia), and Taipei Wanfu School (Taiwan).

At the secondary school level, JBCN has facilitated two long-term collaborations. One with Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kazakhstan for cultural exchange, Model United Nations (MUN), science projects, joint lessons, faculty development, and more. The second initiative, called EUMIND, is a yearlong collaborative research project on Human Rights with its partner school, Lyceum Oudehoven, in the Netherlands. Apart from this, JBCN also organizes competitions, webinars, workshops, and guest sessions that witness participation from schools worldwide. For example, the latest competition on coding and entrepreneurship saw participation from schools across 15+ countries. In one recently held Masterclass, Mr Michael Sturm, The Adviser to the Directorate General of International and European Relations of the European Central Bank, interacted with the Learners on the functioning of the Bank. The interaction had JBCN learners enquiring about the responsibilities and monetary policies of the ECB during the covid crisis.

Speaking on this, Mr. Kunal Dalal, M.D. of JBCN Education, said, "Inculcating the concept of Internationalism and collaborating with various schools worldwide is a great initiative for our learners as it brings them the required global exposure. We have collaborated with over 20 schools across various countries and a host of speakers worldwide. Chef Ajay Chopra spoke about using a gulel (catapult) to pluck the mangoes. Expressing his heart, he said, “Today we get mangoes with a click on our smartphones, but the fun and satisfaction of plucking it from the trees yourself was very different. Those were the actual days.”

Expressing her love for mangoes Chef Shipra exclaimed, “Ohh! I just love mangoes. Do you know, there are around 1500 varieties of mangoes in the world.” Adding to it Chef Ajay said, “The world certainly knows India for giving them this King of fruits.” The two judges were seen adorning their Chef hats to create a new version of the traditional Gujarati delicacy aamras puri, combining it with a new version of khandvi. Boss Chiller presented mangoes as the key ingredient and the two chefs decide to create multiple elements using the fruit. Millions of fans will get the chance to watch Mohit Chauhan, Asees Kaur, and Jasleen Royal on their smartphone lock screen at The Glance LIVE Fest

Glance LIVE Fest, a three-day digital carnival of live, interactive experiences will have several music shows and will also see the debut of Roposo JamRoom in collaboration with music composer Pritam Chakraborty’s Jam 8 and Sony Music

Glance, one of the world’s leading lock screen platforms, has many exciting experiences in-store with the Glance LIVE Fest (GLF), a three-day, virtual carnival of unique live, interactive experiences. This innovative digital festival will take place from 3rd-5th June. Among the scheduled events during GLF, are several live music shows from some of India’s most loved singers.

During GLF, Roposo – Glance’s creator-led live entertainment commerce platform - will be launching its exciting I.P, Roposo JamRoom, in association with Bollywood’s renowned composer and lyricist Pritam Chakraborty’s Jam 8 and Sony Music. In the show 19 legendary artists will come together to create 10 original songs. Each episode of the show will see the artists jamming and having freewheeling conversations about their music and journey in the industry. Viewers can also get to see fun behind-the-scenes footage and the making of the song’s video. This will culminate in the live performance by the artist singing their original compositions for the audience.

The first episode of Roposo JamRoom will be launched on 3rd June, from 5-5:30 PM IST. On this debut episode, the soulful singer of all time Mohit Chauhan, and Bollywood’s pop star Asees Kaur will go LIVE to perform an original composition Raah Dikha De.

Commenting on the launch of Roposo JamRoom in Glance LIVE Fest, Pritam said,  “Roposo Jamroom is a celebration of musical talents of some of India’s brightest emerging composers, lyricists and some of our most celebrated star performers and I am thrilled that it is making a debut on an innovative, new age platform like Glance LIVE Fest. Over the next 10 weeks, we will bring you an array of beautiful melodies and emotions. Jam8 has consistently provided a platform to musicians, and I am so glad that Roposo Jamroom brought to you by the teams at Jam8, Sony Music and Roposo is going to be providing a wonderful opportunity to young new musicians.”

There will be other exciting live music shows during GLF, from performers such as the talented and versatile Jasleen Royal, the energetic Akasa, and music sensation Stebin Ben. GLF will enable millions of users to get the same concert vibe from the comfort of their couch through interactive features such as AMAs and real time comments. They can even have the opportunity to request songs and take virtual selfies with some of their favourite stars.

GLF will be accessible to over 70 million users on their mobile lock screens and will also be streamed on Roposo. It will feature live, interactive, and transactional content from India’s biggest celebrities such as Rajkummar Rao and Karan Johar, and creators across entertainment, gaming, and shopping as well.

Lucknow’s Riddhi Tiwari to be seen on Zee TV's DID Super Moms

Writer Devika Bhagat spills the beans on Four More Shots Please Season 3 and Shehar Lakhot


 The writer is currently basking in all the accolades for Prime Videos Modern Love

 Devika Bhagat is a prominent screenplay writer, who has dabbled in mediums spanning cinema, television, and digital platforms. She has a diverse range-- from writing films like Manorma Six Feet Under, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Bachna Ae Haseeno, scripting television shows like Mahi Way to now writing series such as Unpaused and Four More Shots Please! She is currently basking in praise for her latest, Amazon Prime Video's anthology Modern Love: Mumbai, where she is credited for writing Nupur Asthana-directed 'Cutting Chai'. She also doubled up as a consultant writer on the series. 

Devika Bhagat recently joined as a panelist on the RoundTable hosted by social media platform Khul Ke where she shared her journey, navigating different mediums and genres, finding impeccable command in the digital space with Modern Love: Mumbai and her upcoming projects. The RoundTable was moderated by Priyanka Sharma. Khul Ke is the only platform to allow video, audio, and text-based conversations among moderators, panelists, and the audience.

 Devika Bhagat gave a sneak peek into her two upcoming shows, Shehar Lakhot which is under production, and Four More Shots Please! Season 3, which the audience will get to witness by the second half of the year. "The women characterisation in Shehar Lakhot and Season 3 of Four More Shots Please! is going to be very different from one another. Characterisation depends on the kind of women you are writing about, their economic status, social status, where they are located amongst other things. For instance, Shehar Lakhot is a story set in Udaipur. It is a story, set in a small fictitious town where women have a completely different outlook towards life than that of those in Four More Shots Please! The women protagonist in Shehar Lakhot do not have the same issues as that of the women in Four More Shots Please

"If we are writing about privileged women in Four More Shots Please, they are privileged because they have access to the things that 90% of women in this country do not have access to," Devika shared. 

She added, "Expect a lot of emotions from season 3 of Four More Shots Please. Even the seasons are going through arcs!” 

Shehar Lakhot is an Indian Television Series created by Devika Bhagat and Navdeep Singh. It is a story about a man who reluctantly returns to his hometown where he not only battles his past demons but also gets drawn into an even bigger cesspool of smoke and mirrors and must now prove his innocence. The cast of series is Priyanshu Painyuli, Shruthy Menon, Chandana Roy Sanyal and Kubbra Sait.

Devika Bhagat started her career at an early age as a second assistant director but later went on to become one of the most noted writers and gave us hits like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Jab Tak Hain Jaan, Four More Shots Please. Talking about her journey and association with Yash Raj Films, Devika said "I graduated from the film school at NYU and came to Mumbai to become a director around 2002-2003. Life, however, had certain other plans for me. I was struggling to get work as an AD and had to earn to pay my bills. I was very close friends with Abhay Deol, who then was also a struggler like me. Later on in life, I met Imitiaz Ali through Abhay, he asked me to co-write a film that unfortunately did not come into being. During this journey, I happened to visit the Yash Raj Films office to narrate a script which again did not culminate. It was Arjun Sablok through whom I met Aditya Chopra, who had read my previous script. He then narrated a one-liner and asked me to develop it. That’s how Bachna Ae Haseeno was born.

"Aditya Chopra does not need narrations. He is one of those, who reads scripts and have feedback sessions, which I love because I hate giving narrations. Years after Bachna Ae Haseeno, Aditya Chopra offered me to co-write Jab Tak Hain Jaan and I said a yes to it only because I thought I would be able to work with Yash Chopra but that did not happen as Yash ji was not keen to work on it. My association with Yash Raj Films has been an enjoyable and memorable one."

 On a concluding note, Devika Bhagat advised all the aspiring writers to always listen to their voice, take feedback and judgment but always be true to themselves. She urged them to always write what they want to and follow their instincts. As for voices always trying to school female screenwriters from within ans outside the industry, Devika said, "You should not tell female writers to stuck to a particular genre. Female writers can write any genre just like make writers."
