भारताने यावर्षी दोन व्यापार करार कार्यान्वित करण्याचा अनोखा गौरव प्राप्त केला आहे. या  वर्षात 1 मे रोजी भारत- संयुक्त अरब अमिरात सर्वसमावेशक आर्थिक भागीदारी करार अंमलात आल्यानंतर, भारत-ऑस्ट्रेलिया आर्थिक सहकार्य आणि व्यापार करार (#IndAusECTA) आजपासून, म्हणजे 29 डिसेंबर 2022 पासून लागू झाला आहे. 2 एप्रिल 2022 रोजी आर्थिक सहकार्य आणि व्यापार करारावर स्वाक्षरी करण्यात आली, 21 नोव्हेंबर रोजी मान्यता देण्यात आली, 29 नोव्हेंबर रोजी लेखी अधिसूचनांची देवाणघेवाण झाली आणि 30 दिवसांनंतर आज हा करार लागू झाला आहे.

हा करारासंदर्भात “ब्रेट लीचा वेग आणि सचिन तेंडुलकरची परिपूर्णता समोर ठेवून वाटाघाटी करण्यात आल्या आहेत”, असे केंद्रीय वाणिज्य आणि उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल यांनी आज मुंबईत उद्योग प्रतिनिधी आणि प्रसारमाध्यमांना संबोधित करताना सांगितले.

 

या कराराचा देशांना कसा फायदा होईल?

याविषयी बोलताना पीयूष गोयल म्हणाले, “ऑस्ट्रेलियाला आपण मोठ्या प्रमाणात तयार मालाची निर्यात करु शकतो, कारण ते फारच कमी वस्तूंचे उत्पादन करतात, ऑस्ट्रेलिया मुख्यत्वे कच्चा माल आणि मध्यवर्ती उत्पादक देश आहेत. आपल्याला तेथून स्वस्त कच्चा माल मिळेल. त्यामुळे आपल्याला जागतिक स्तरावर अधिक स्पर्धात्मक बनवण्याबरोबरच भारतीय ग्राहकांना चांगली सेवा देण्यासाठी सक्षम देखील होता होईल. आपल्याला अधिक परवडणाऱ्या किमतीत अधिक दर्जेदार वस्तू उपलब्ध करून देण्यास सक्षम बनता येईल.

 "ऑस्ट्रेलिया, जो मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आयातीवर अवलंबून आहे, त्यांना मोठा फायदा होईल, त्यांना लवकरच भारतातून आणखी बराच तयार माल मिळण्यास सुरुवात होईल, तसेच भारतीय प्रतिभेने प्रदान केलेल्या वस्तू आणि सेवा या दोन्ही क्षेत्रात मोठ्या प्रमाणात काम आणि नोकरीच्या संधी उपलब्ध होतील."

 “या करारामुळे आयटी सेवांवरील दुहेरी कर आकारणी देखील दूर होईल. ही दुहेरी कर आकारणी आपल्याला कमी स्पर्धात्मक बनवत होती आणि सोबतच आपल्यासाठी आयटी क्षेत्र कमी फायदेशीर बनवत होती. आता कायद्यात सुधारणा करून दुहेरी कर प्रणाली हटवण्यात आली आहे. 1 एप्रिलपासून आयटी क्षेत्रासाठी दुहेरी कर आकारणी संपुष्टात येईल. त्यामुळे आपण आत्ताच लाखो डॉलर्स वाचवू आणि पुढे जाऊन एक अब्ज डॉलर्सपेक्षा जास्त वाचवू, कदाचित 5 - 7 वर्षे पुढे जातील, पण यामुळे आपल्याला स्पर्धात्मक वातावरण मिळेल आणि बर्‍याच नोकऱ्याही निर्माण होतील.”

“ऑस्ट्रेलियाच्या सरकारने अत्यंत संवेदनशील आणि विचारशील बनून संपूर्ण वाटाघाटींमध्ये, विशेषतः भारतातील शेतकरी आणि दुग्धव्यवसाय क्षेत्राच्या हिताचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी पूर्ण सहकार्य दिल्याबद्दल मी त्यांचे कौतुक करतो. कृषी उत्पादने आणि डेअरी क्षेत्रासारखी उत्पादने - जी भारतासाठी अतिशय जिव्हाळ्याची आहेत आणि ज्याशिवाय ऑस्ट्रेलियाने यापूर्वी कधीही करार केला नव्हता ते आता संरक्षित केले गेले आहेत, यासाठी मी ऑस्ट्रेलियन सरकारचा खूप आभारी आहे."

सर्व प्रशुल्क गटांतील भारतीय वस्तूंना ऑस्ट्रलियाई बाजारात सीमाशुल्काविना प्रवेश मिळणार

भारत आणि ऑस्ट्रेलियादरम्यानच्या आर्थिक सहकार्य आणि व्यापार करारामुळे या दोन देशांमधील संस्थात्मक व्यवस्थेला प्रोत्साहन मिळणार असून द्विपक्षीय व्यापारात सुधारणा होतील. या करारात भारत- ऑस्ट्रेलियादरम्यान व्यापाराच्या सर्व प्रशुल्क गटांचा समावेश आहे.

भारताला ज्यांच्या निर्यातीत उत्सुकता आहे अशा, भरपूर श्रम लागणाऱ्या 100% क्षेत्रांमधील – जसे की मूल्यवान खडे व दागिने, कापड उद्योग, कातडे उद्योग, पादत्राणे, फर्निचर, अन्न आणि कृषी उत्पादने, अभियांत्रिकी उत्पादने, वैद्यकिय उपकरणे, मोटार वाहने - उत्पादनांना ऑस्ट्रेलियाच्या बाजारपेठेत प्राधान्याने प्रवेश ही बाब भारताला फायदेशीर ठरेल. ज्यांच्या निर्यातीबाबत ऑस्ट्रेलिया उत्सुक आहे अशा 70% हून अधिक प्रशुल्क गटांतील ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उत्पादनांना भारतीय बाजारपेठेत प्राधान्याने प्रवेश मिळेल. यामध्ये प्रामुख्याने कच्चा माल, कोळसा, खनिज धातुके व वाईन्सचा समावेश आहे.

सेवाविषयक व्यापारामध्ये ऑस्ट्रेलियाने 135 विविध उपक्षेत्रांबाबत व्यापक वचनबद्धता दर्शवली असून 120 उपक्षेत्रांसाठी भारताचा ‘मोस्ट फेवर्ड नेशन’ अर्थात सर्वाधिक प्राधान्यता असलेल्या देशांमध्ये समावेश केला आहे.

भारताने 103 ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उपक्षेत्रांना आपल्या बाजारपेठेत प्रवेश देऊ केला असून व्यवसायविषयक सेवा, संवादविषयक सेवा, बांधकाम व संबंधित अभियांत्रिकी सेवांसह 11 व्यापक सेवा क्षेत्रांतर्गत येणाऱ्या 31 उपक्षेत्रांसाठी ऑस्ट्रेलियाला सर्वाधिक प्राधान्य असलेल्या देशाचा दर्जा दिला आहे.

औषधनिर्माण क्षेत्रातील उत्पादनांसाठी स्वतंत्र सूची जोडण्याचे या करारांतर्गत दोन्ही देशांनी मान्य केले आहे. त्यामुळे पेटंट झालेल्या, जेनेरिक व तत्सम सारख्याच असलेल्या औषधांना वेगाने मंजुरी मिळणे शक्य होणार आहे.

या करारांतर्गत ऑस्ट्रेलिया भारतात 10 लाख अतिरिक्त नोकऱ्या निर्माण करेल, असा अंदाज आहे. भारतीय योग शिक्षक आणि आचाऱ्यांना वार्षिक व्हिसा कोट्यात स्थान मिळेल. एक लाखांहून अधिक भारतीय विद्यार्थ्यांना अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर ऑस्ट्रेलियात काम करण्यासाठी 18 महिने ते 4 वर्षे कालावधीपर्यंतचा व्हिसा या करारामुळे मिळू शकेल. दोहों देशांमध्ये या करारामुळे गुंतवणुकीच्या संधींमध्ये वाढ, निर्यातीला प्रोत्साहन, महत्त्वपूर्ण अतिरिक्त रोजगारनिर्मिती आणि दृढ द्विपक्षीय संबंध निर्माण होण्यास मदत होईल.

ऑस्ट्रेलिया हा भारताचा महत्त्वपूर्ण धोरणात्मक भागीदार आहे. भारताप्रमाणे ऑस्ट्रेलियाही ‘क्वॉड’ (QUAD) या चार देशांच्या गटाचा, त्रिपक्षीय पुरवठा साखळी अभियान आणि भारत-प्रशांत आर्थिक मंचाचा (IPEF) सदस्य आहे.

The GOA VILLAGE @ Sunburn was inaugurated by Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Goa on December 27, 2022, and officially thrown open to a global audience attending the Sunburn Goa Festival at Vagator, Goa. The launch was attended by over 10,000 tourists and native Goan populace who have arrived into Goa to attend the 3 day mega Sunburn Festival scheduled from December 28 – 30, 2022.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the ‘GOA VILLAGE’ @ Sunburn saw Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Goa cut the ribbon to throw open the GOA VILLAGE to the world audience. The ‘Oradh Goemkar Serenaders’, a talented group of Global Goan Musicians, welcomed the Minister and guests, their melodic rendition serving as a fitting tribute to the Opening Ceremony of this unique Goa Village. Shri. Rohan Khaunte walked around the village and interacted with many artists displaying their crafts, wares, cuisines and talents at the venue. The GOA VILLAGE adroitly captured the vibrant Heritage, Art, Culture, Legends, Cuisine and Lifestyle of Goa from both locally established and upcoming Talents.

The Hon. Minister for Tourism, Goa, highlighted the importance of showcasing and promoting the diverse Goan culture on a global platform like Sunburn. Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism, Goa, said, “For the first time in over 16 years, Sunburn has created a ‘Goa Village’ at the Festival event in Vagator. This ‘Goan Village’ was a long standing dream of the Government to present the vast and vibrant heritage, art and culture of Goa to a global audience. Goa has a vast repertoire of local talent who need the right exposure, and the right dedicated stage will create that opportunity alongside celebrated global artists.”

Giving a boost to the versatile range of Music Talent from Goa, the inaugural day saw many talented local Goan DJ’s and Bands grace the stage including DJ TESH, DJ Raj, DJ Sid, DJ Saj Akhtar, Soldier Hill Crew, and Saunyk X Sahil NRG.

Other attractions comprised the ‘Doors of Goa’ installation, capturing the aesthetic architectural doors of Goa in a miniature format. Visitors were seen posing against vibrant Photo-ops placed across the venue including the pristine backdrop of a Goa beach and fishing boat, famous Artists of Goa; Doors of Goa; and a dazzling 3-D Goa Tourism ‘I Love Goa’ installation.

A Zone dedicated to the ‘Legends of Goa’ saw an exclusive area paying tribute to the many famous local artists and talents who made India proud. The GOA VILLAGE displayed a vibrant Flea Market showcasing and selling Goan wares spanning apparel, accessories, colorful pottery, coconut handicrafts, beaded items and shells, and many exotic items unique to Goa. The Local Goan Ingredient Stall was a great hit with the visitors as it enabled tourists to experience the many indigenous local Goan spices, food pastes, cashewnuts and pickles. Visitors had the option of purchasing the items at the venue and getting the same safely delivered to their homes pan India.

The Food Zone at GOA VILLAGE saw many traditional and contemporary Goan cuisines served by some popular local chefs and restaurants of Goa. The Goa Bar housed local drinks like Urrak, Feni, Cabo and People’s Lager, and Mixologists skilfully converted these native drinks into tasty cocktails.

Zindagi wins 11 prestigious awards in 2022!

It’s raining accolades for Zindagi in 2022 as it brings home 11 prestigious awards for path-breaking stories that travelled the world. Recently, Zindagi original show Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam won ‘Best Anthology’ at Asia Pac’s most prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards, held in Singapore.

This year has been one of celebrations as
two of Zindagi’s original series Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam and Dhoop Ki Deewar won 6 & 5 awards respectively. Starting with Promax India Awards, Zindagi won ‘Best Key Art Design’ and ‘Best Social Media Campaign’ award for their popular series, Dhoop ki Deewar. Dhoop ki Deewar is a show revolving around lives of two youngsters from India and Pakistan that turn upside down when their fathers are martyred in war. It is a heartbreaking account of the aftermath of war that the families of martyrs live each day. The promotional campaign beautifully woven around the thought ‘Heart over hate’ displayed this horrifying effect of war with positive messages of peace. The creatives used were minimal and new-age to connect with the younger audiences who engaged with the campaign and made it larger than just communication of a show.

Additionally the show also won the CMO Asia Award & Promax Global Excellence Award for ‘Best use of social media’ in Marketing. It also won for ‘Best Music on web’ at the Screenxx Summit.

This year has been eventful; and there was no stopping as the much-loved original series, Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam also brought home many awards. This series is a first of its kind South Asian desi-noir anthology series of women taking charge after being wronged by men in their lives. Its unique and bold storytelling attracted immense love and accolades alike from across the world.

The series bagged ‘Best thriller Show on web’ at the SPOTT Awards, ‘Best Title Sequence’ at Promax India and even ‘Best Programme Campaign’ at Promax Asia.

And it doesn’t end here, celebrations galore for team Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam as Meenu Gaur won ‘Best Director’ Award at the Digital Reinvent Awards. The series also represented India on a global stage, making it the national winner at the Asian Academy Creative awards and ultimately taking home the Grand Award for the ‘Best Anthology’.

R.B.K International School, Thane hosts “Shatranj Champion” Chess – A competition between minds

Mumbai, 28 December, 2022: RBK International School, a premium educational institution launched “Shatranj Champion”, Chess tournament this year for learners of age groups under 12 and under 14. Around two-hundred learners from 22 schools across Mumbai and Thane participated in the event and displayed their mastery in chess.

RBK International School is constantly working towards expanding learners' horizons into the sports arena and organizing the various events to develop their talents. Chess as a mind game is a problem-solving exercise. Chess is an excellent activity to develop cognitive skills and logical reasoning. It is an intense sport, and it is not surprising that chess exercises both sides of the brain. Chess helps learners realize the consequence of their actions. In order to develop strategic thinking and creativity among their learners the RBK International successfully organized the Chess championship event recently, which saw the presence of two hundred learners zealously participating in the mind game and winning gold, silver and bronze from the competition.

Ms. Vani Reddy, Principal, RBK International School, CAIE Board said, “Chess requires learners to use cognitive functions such as decoding, analysis, thinking, and comprehension which are skills that are all required for excelling in academics. Chess is not always about winning. Sometimes it’s simply about learning and so is life. In our vision to encourage learners on a journey of infinite learning, we included chess as mandatory co-curricular activity”.

While, addressing learners and parents, Mr. Dayanand Khilche emphasized the importance of participation in chess tournaments suggesting to learners that participation gives them a chance to assess their capabilities. 

Under age 12 category the learners who won the chess competition were Rayan Merchant from CNM School, Vile Parle and Manasvi Kabra from RBK Kanakia International School won Gold medal, Anant Jain from Tapovan Vidyalaya and Driti Rathod from St Francis High School won Silver medal, Kavish Jain from Tapovan Vidyalay and Khushi Bari from St Francis High School won Bronze medal in the competition.

Under age 14 category the learners who won the chess competition were Karnav Rastogi from R N Podar International School and Bhavika Agarwal from Bhartiya Vidyalaya won Gold medal, Kapish Ostwal from RBK Global School and Manasvi Kabra from RBK Kanakia International School won Silver medal and Pritesh Agarwal from Rashmi International School and Swara Shirke from St Aloysius English High School won Bronze medal in a competition. RBK International School’s Cambridge advanced learners volunteered the entire event resulting in smooth execution of the event.
