For Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 Digital First Season Fluid Edition, the label’s “The Lost Summer” collection was a nostalgic fashionable offering that will brighten the style quotients for women, who long to toast the best creations in their wardrobes from ‘Mishru’.
The quest for brightness and happy hues was very evident in the colour story from the label. It was an orchard of vibrant summer tones that lit up the ensembles. Shades of blush and hot pink were perfectly in tune, while the cloudy blue added a formal charm to navy blue, deep red and ivory that kept the shade card on a great neutral fashion path.
‘Mishru’s’ design sensibilities have always comprised a varied repertoire of silhouettes that has a generous offering of grandeur. The dazzling pre-draped saris were exciting looks for the traditional six-yard wonder. The swirling lehengas, intricately crafted cholis and luxuriously embellished dupattas were an ideal trousseau option.

A stunning entry was an all-white batwing blouse and bell-bottom pants with floral embroidery running down the sides. Adding fashion pizzazz to the blush pink striped palazzos was an angular draped pastel choli, completed with a fragile embroidered tulle robe.
A mixed array of ensembles in cloudy blue varied from a lavishly embroidered lehenga, choli dupatta trio to a striped sari with a sedate long-sleeved choli, a slinky skirt with a thigh-high slit with a flared blouse and a fluid pant and cropped bloused set belted with an embroidered robe.
The navy-blue look was all about glamour, as cascades of multi-coloured blossoms flowed down lehenga, choli, dupatta sets, cinched the waist of a layered palazzo/tunic set and added extra elegance to a kurta.
Mishru’s deep red line had a fun element. Panelled maxi skirts were teamed with flirty tiny cholis, while a jumpsuit, harem pants with embroidered blouse and drape was ideal eveningwear.

Farah Sanjana’s Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 Digital First Season Fluid Edition Collection Was A Celebration Of Hope And Optimism
Celebrating the beauty of life, Farah Sanjana’s collection “Reset Restart” at Lakmé Fashion Week 2020 Digital First Season Fluid Edition, was a fashionable offering of optimism and hope. Projecting a strong, youthful line that signalled a better future in fashion and trends, Farah’s designing directions were dedicated to the ‘No Waste’ mantra that will, in turn, support the crafts of the many artisans who have suffered during the Pandemic.
Putting her creativity to the ultimate test, Farah consciously worked to upcycle many salient features from handbags, garments, bags, foil surplus, scarp metallic strips and imaginatively turned them into amazing 3D forms of embellishments and designs.
Farah’s print story was inspired by the timeless grandeur and beauty of Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia to which she added a touch of glittering gold inputs. Staying true to the inspiration, Farah also brought in some dramatic neo-gothic high-density rubber to encrust the sleeves of the ensembles.
To match the strength of the theme, Farah’s aggressive silhouettes in brown, black and white with hints of colour for men and women made an impressive fashion statement.
For women, the dark brown jogging pants were teamed with battle jacket, while military-style trousers, classic blouse, midi skirts with bikers jackets and double-breasted cropped jackets, completed the look with abstract prints and encouraging words like ‘Refresh, Restart, Reset’.
For the black and white story with bits of colour thrown in, Farah brought a black mini with a glittering inset, a sari drape pant and blouse duo, a futuristic mini with extreme patched pockets, impressive trouser suit with abstract print and then rounded it off with an intensely printed boiler suit, mini and flared maxi skirt with a cropped blouse.
The electric blue pinafore/blouson duo and the shorts with double-breasted jacket brought a feminine touch to the range.
Men’s wear had a quirky almost unisex touch as printed tunics, with matching shorts, sleeveless kurta, and white printed/solid shirt and trouser made interesting combos.
Farah Sanjana’s “Reset Restart” collection was all about responsible fashion that will send a strong message to the fashion followers who value the environment and the future of sustainable fashion.
