True woman-power is the essence of ALTBalaji's urban relationship drama, The Married Woman!

The Married Woman, ALTBalaji's urban relationship drama, has been a tremendous success. The brilliant reviews and the skyrocketing number of viewers are evidence of success. The Married Woman showcases the audience coming of age and understand the show, to become a part of the journey with the lead characters. The alternate storytelling has made the series super popular and made the show eligible for various awards and nominations, putting the show at the top of the country's most binged and best shows lists.

This widely anticipated and talked about show has been in the news for nothing but the right reasons. The tremendous hype surrounding the show and its actors is truly well-deserved. The series based on Author Manju Kapur's book, The Married Woman, has been a total hit amongst women across India and overseas. It depicts woman power in all its glory, celebrates love, and questions all societal stereotypes.

With a brilliant story captured and portrayed so beautifully, not missing out on a single emotion or detail, The Married Woman is one brilliant work of art. The Married Woman's story talks of the seemingly perfect and obedient daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, and working professional, Astha. She is confined to being ordinary because of society's rules and mindset about what is right and deemed proper. It goes on until she meets Aijaz and Peeplika, who bring a burst of colour into her drab and dreary life. They remind her that she is so much more than society's labels, and when Aijaz is gone, she and Peeplika explore a love they didn't think would ever find them.

The cast in this beautiful show is Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra in the lead roles of Astha and Peeplika, respectively, along with Imaad Shah, Ayesha Raza, Rahul Vohra, Divya Seth Shah, Nadira Babbar, and Suhaas Ahuja, amongst others. The talented Sahir Raza directed the series.

The show has been breaking record after record for its unconventional take on love and society.

The Married Woman is a story that should be watched by one and all. Head to the ALTBalaji app for your dose of this awesomeness!!
