Mumbai 31 March, 2023: Kanakia Kids, the renowned preschool section of Kanakia International School, Chembur, offers various opportunities to develop the diverse skill sets of young learners. One such unique program offered by Kanakia Kids is the Children's Council, aimed at promoting holistic growth and development of young learners. This program is one of the excellent avenues for the learners to master various skills, particularly in the realm of leadership and hands-on responsibilities.
The Children's Council is a subject that has been introduced to expose the little learners to the concept of leadership with knowledge and practical tasks. This initiative is geared towards imbuing competencies such as valuing human dignity, democracy, justice, fairness, equality, the rule of law, human rights, cultural diversity, nurturing openness to other beliefs, and civic-mindedness.
Through the Children's Council, the learners are provided with a platform to explore and develop various skills. These include leadership skills, managerial skills, communication skills, organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, autonomous learning skills, and skills of listening, observing, and cooperation through experiential learning. The learners are given opportunities to exercise and apply these acquired skills.

All ten ministers from the council, along with their cabinet members, presented the various activities they had explored throughout the academic year in ministries such as Agriculture, Culture, Education, Energy & Power, Environment, Finance, Human Resource and Development, Information and Broadcasting, Law and Justice, and Science and Technology. The presentation was a resounding success, showcasing how the learners are developing various abilities through the Children's Council program. The learners demonstrated their skills and showcased their achievements, giving a glimpse into their growth and development.
