What’s in a name? A lot we’d say, as fans kept racking their brains to understand the meaning behind ALTBalaji and ZEE5’s upcoming show Bebaakee. Well, the wait is finally over as the two streaming platforms are finally out with the big reveal. Turns out, the meaning of the word Bebaakee is Nidarta, Dheethta, and Paagalpan. With the cat finally out of the bag, one can’t wait to see these themes being highlighted as the much-awaited teaser is all set to be launched tomorrow on 17th July. Just like their shows on the digital space, the launch of ALTBalaji and ZEE5’s originals do pack a punch each time they come out with a new offering. With excitement ahead of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain season 3’s launch being at its peak, the two leading platforms launched the much-awaited series via a star-studded digital conference today. High on the success of its first two seasons, the upcoming season will see stalwarts of the TV industry like Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, Gurdip Kohli-Punjj, and Apurva Agnihotri along with Pooja Banerjee, Palak Jain, Sayush Nayyar, Anjum Fakih, Suchitra Pillai, and Aditi Vasudev. Set after a four-year leap, one saw how Ananya (Mona Singh) and Poonam (Gurdip Kohli-Punjj) have moved on with their lives. Despite new women in the form of Nisha (Anjum Fakih) and Amaira (Aditi Vasudeva) entering his life, Rohit simply is not willing to accept the fact that Poonam and Ananya are no longer a part of his life. Speaking at the event, Ronit Roy quipped, “Season 3 of Kehne ko Humsafar Hain is an outstanding piece of writing and I really had a lot of fun shooting this series. It's good to shoot with all the co-actors and we are all like a family. I have not seen the series yet but have seen all the actors play their respective characters and they all were really amazing."

Speaking on the show, Mona Singh says, “I was very excited to know that writing of season 3 is complete and we all are going to meet again and have a lot of fun as it was always great shooting family scenes with everyone around. I loved how the whole graph of season 3 has gone up. I believe love is the most important element in a relationship and I really feel bad for couples in a loveless or abusive relationship. Especially, during the lockdown, we are getting to know about more cases of abusive relationships and domestic violence. I really hope that women find the courage to lead a better life by walking away from such toxic relationships and choose a better life for themselves."

An Excited Gurdip Kohli-Punjj said, “The reason why the show is doing so well is because of the perfect and brilliant characters. In season 2 the viewers got to see a new person in Poonam's life which was Abhi who is much younger to her. In this third season, you will see Poonam battling between the age gap. The first season was very monotonous for me as a character but the second season got me going. The journey of the characters is very well written by the writers."

The finale episodes titled 'Insecure Husband' and 'Sampoorna Rishta' respectively are streaming now on both the digital platforms.

The episode 'Insecure Husband' stars the gorgeous Garima Jain who made heads turn in an earlier season of Gandii Baat, delivering a performance to remember. The story revolves around the lives of Vihaan and Kaavya, a married couple. Being a complete psychopath, Vihaan is always suspicious that his beautiful wife might be having an extramarital affair. To test his wife, he offers 50 lakhs to his best friend Aarav and challenges him to seduce Kaavya. Filled with twists and a whole lot of suspense, we later see Kaavya double-crossing his plan by striking a deal with Aarav. Giving a sneak peek of what’s coming to your screens, the OTT platforms drop the trailer of the upcoming episodes filled with boldness and sensuality. Viewers can watch two more exxxtra episodes titled 'Triple Seat' and 'Project X of the web-series which will stream on March 27 on both ALTBalaji and ZEE5.

The episode titled Triple seat is a story about millennials exploring their openness and sexuality. The story revolves around Shanaya who is in love with Kunal whereas the college hunk Arijit is in love with Shanaya. The love-story takes a twist as Kunal falls in love with Arijit but hasn't come out of the closet yet. Then I sat and thought about it and realized I'm an artist, an actor and an actor or artist has to perform and do justice to the role and not be choosy. And the stories are actually stories based on real-life but just not spoken about much. All in all, it was a great experience."

The trailer starts in the present-day where Tidda is curious to know about his mother and delves into the past of his father, Soggy, to unravel a mystery about his real father. While Soggy takes Tidda back in time via flashback, what Tidda finds out is a completely different story of his father and grandfather, the retired army personnel Prem Singh Barnala, who lives in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. Back in the day, Soggy used to run a DVD rental shop ‘Jawaan Video Parlour’ in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. Unknown to his family a sizeable chunk of the shop’s earnings used to come with Soggy renting out blue films to high-end boisterous ladies of Delhi’s posh society. When these ladies find out that Prem Singh is Soggy’s father, they demand the delivery of the DVDs through him with some extra added favours. Prem Singh Barnala's overnight stardom among the ladies like Mrs. Chibber (played by Anveshi Jain) Mrs.Pammi Chwla (played by Liza Malik) and Mrs. Das (played by Kasturi Banerjee) among others add to the twist in the tale leading to further chaos. The story also explores the various facets of a father-son relationship while making it a fun watch, the one perennial question that remains constant throughout is — ‘Who is Tidda’s real mother?’ and eventually leads into "who's Tidda’s real daddy?"

Excited about his digital debut, Harsh Beniwal quipped, “Amidst the current situation in the country, we are trying our best to entertain our audiences who are sitting at home. I am really excited as the audience will finally get to see a glimpse of the show for which we all have been working so hard. It was an amazing experience being part of such a web series and sharing screen time with an actor like Rahul Dev. The show depicts a father-son relationship in a completely new light and I am absolutely sure that the audience will go on to love it.”

Anveshi Jain, who plays Mrs. Chibber in the show, said, “I am glad to be part of a web series that has such a unique and interesting concept. Directed by Chirag Arora and written by Jatin Dua, the web-series also features a talented pool of actors like Anveshi Jain, Kasturi Banerjee, Divinaa Thackur, Lizaa Malik, Samarth Shandilya, Abhilash Kumar, Divinaa Thackur, Jatin Dua, Shubham Kumar amongst others. With a trailer that caught every one’s attention right from its first frame to a quirky title track that depicted the ups and downs of childcare, people have all the right reasons to be excited for ALTBalaji and ZEE5’s latest offering Mentalhood. Raising a child is an art. Some make it into a highly precise science, but most of the mothers are like tigresses protecting their cubs. And, while going through this whirlwind of parenting responsibilities, you are bound to go bonkers occasionally. Bringing to screens the madness of parenting, ALTBalaji, and ZEE5 launched 10 episodes of the most awaited web-series of the year, Mentalhood- the journey from Motherhood to Mentalhood !

The show marks the digital debut of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor playing the role of Meira Sharma, who hails from a small town along with her husband Anmol (played by Sanjay Suri). Featuring a large pool of talented actors, the web-series also features Dino Morea as a stay-at-home dad named Aakash Fernandes who performs the task of single parenting effortlessly, Sandhya Mridul as ‘Momzilla’ Anuja Joshi aka AJO who loves being in charge of the situation and framing new ‘parenting rules’. Portraying the workaholic mother in a commendable manner is Shilpa Shukla as Namrata Dalmia. The diversity amongst the mothers continues as Shruti Seth playing the spiritual mom named Diksha who loves her peaceful life and medication. Finally, we see Tillotama Shome as the super-hyper mother Preity Khosla who is on her toes all day. 

Speaking about the show’s launch, Karisma Kapoor said, “This show is for every mother out there who is absolutely unrelenting towards her parenting responsibilities. I play the role of Meira, who comes from a small-town & then shifts to Mumbai and stumbles onto an absolutely crazy metropolitan city. It is an absolute family show that will see Meira struggle to craft the perfect idealistic family life in the concrete jungle, that we know as Mumbai. I am certain that the mothers of today's generation will also understand this 'mother in distress' completely.”

Playing the role of a single father, Dino Morea comments, “Being a single father to two kids can be truly a challenging role. I’m glad that my character of Aakash got me to see this side of parenthood and learn about what one goes through when they have to be their own pillar of strength not just for themselves, but for their kids as well. It’s a role that brought out the best in me and I hope that audiences love Aakash and the show as well.”

 A lovable mother herself, the show is indeed special for Ekta Kapoor, the content czarina shares, "I am extremely proud to have created ‘Mentalhood’ and this show is specially dedicated to my mother Shoba Kapoor and my son Ravie.
