Hyundai organizes ‘Lamp On Challenge’ – A Unique Social Media Contest

Mumbai, July 23, 2020: Hyundai Motor India Ltd., country’s first smart mobility solutions provider and largest exporter since inception has organized a unique contest- ‘Lamp On Challenge’ on their social media handles for customers. The contest is aimed at educating customers about the importance of brake lights and its key role to prevent accidents. The contest commenced on 16 th July and will go on till 31 st July, 2020.
Commenting on this novel contest, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director – Sales, Marketing & Service, said, “As a responsible and caring brand, Hyundai has been at the forefront of spreading awareness about the importance of car maintenance and safety to educate and encourage behavioral change in the masses.  Endeavors such as these are pertinent to create a large impact by sensitizing people on similar issues. The ‘Lamp On Challenge’ is a digital contest aimed at being a true eye-opener for the masses”.
The contest entails a three-step process that Hyundai customers need to follow, wherein a picture has to be taken showing a car rear with brake lamps ON, while covering the number plate with a finger heart. This picture has to be posted on their personal social media accounts by tagging @HyundaiIndia along with two friends using both #Hyundai and #LampOn_India. Lucky 100 entries qualifying the above criteria will be gratified with exciting prizes.
Customers can avail Hyundai service facilities via 360 Digital & Contact-less Service. From online service booking through Hyundai Care App, Vehicle status update via WhatsApp, Pick and Drop from home/office and online payment facility, a touch free service experience is ensured for the customers, wherever they are and whenever they want to. Hyundai offers Green Mobility Services to mark World Environment Day




  • Increase awareness amongst customers towards contributing to healthy environment

Mumbai,  June 4, 2020:  Hyundai Motor India Ltd., country’s first smart mobility solutions provider and largest exporter since inception, announced the launch of  World Environment Day Celebration Camp at all operational workshops to promote the idea of green mobility by integrating several initiatives.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director – Sales, Marketing & Service, said,  “To realize our long term vision of Progress for Humanity, HMIL will continue to improve and strengthen its environmental management practices and establish a safe and pleasant environment leading to a sustainable future. Hyundai reinforces commitment to ‘Make in India’ with more than 5000 Export Units in May

Mumbai, May 30, 2020 : Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), country’s First Smart Mobility Solutions provider and the largest exporter since inception, reinforced its commitment to support the Government’s ‘Make in India’ vision with more than 5000 export units for May 2020.
In line with the Government’s vision of ‘Self-reliant’ India and to support the State and Central Government’s objective of promoting economic revival, Hyundai began production at its plant on May 8 producing more than 5 000 units for export market.
Speaking about Hyundai’s Export Strategy , Mr. S S Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “We began our export operations in India in 1999 with an objective to propagate ‘Make in India – Made for the World’. In line with our global strategy, we have now exported more than 3 Million vehicles to 88 countries which reaffirm our commitment to the country.”
“We have once again made a humble beginning towards normalcy by exporting more than 5000 units in May 2020. This is a testimony of Hyundai’s resilient efforts towards localization and to accentuate economic recovery. Drawing strength from Hyundai’s vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’ we will continue to offer all-round premium experience to our customers through our quality products, both in India and global markets”, he added.
In the last 20 years, since inception, Hyundai has cemented its position as the leading exporter of passenger cars exporting more than 3 Million vehicles. In CY 2019, Hyundai Motor India exported 181 200 units with 792 Customized variants according to country specific preference and demand. With a market share of 26% in CY 2019 to the total exports of passenger cars from India has made Hyundai a significant contributor to the Indian automobile industry.
Currently, Hyundai Motor India is exporting 10 trendsetting models namely – ATOS (SANTRO), GRAND i10, XCENT, GRAND i10 (NIOS) & GRAND i10 (AURA), ELITE i20, i20 ACTIVE, ACCENT (VERNA), VENUE and All New CRETA. Globally, Hyundai Exports  ‘Made-In-India’ cars to 88 Countries in 4 Continents - Latin America (33 Countries), Africa (28 Countries), Asia Pacific (26 Countries) and Europe (1 Country).

Mumbai, May 08 2020: Hyundai Motor India Ltd., country’s first Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and the largest exporter since inception, today announced 5 Unique Customer Centric Car Finance Schemes to empower customers with peace of mind and convenience during these challenging and uncertain times.
Commenting on the announcement of Unique Customer Centric Car Finance Schemes, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing and Service) said, “Hyundai has always been at the forefront of driving customer focused initiatives and yet again we are leading the way with 5 Unique Customer Centric Initiatives. Under these challenging times, it is vital that we empower customers with such programmes that ease their financial burdens and assist them in staying on track with life goals such as buying their favourite Hyundai Car.”  
5 Unique Customer Centric Car Finance Schemes extending choice to Hyundai Customers through various finance institutions are as given below:
  1. 3 Months Low EMI Scheme*: Customers can opt for Low EMIs for the first 3 Months and the balance amount in remaining equal EMIs for 3 Year, 4 Year & 5 Year loan tenures. This scheme is valid for all Hyundai models.
  1. Step-up Scheme*With this scheme, customers need to pay low EMI of Rs 1234/lac for the first year for a 7 year tenure loan. From the 2nd year onwards; the EMI would increase by 11% every year till the end of the loan tenure. This scheme is valid for all Hyundai models. 
  2. Balloon Scheme*: Customers who want to spend less in current times but are confident of paying higher amount later can opt for this scheme. Here customer would need to pay a lower EMI ( ~14 % Lower than normal EMI ) from 1st to 59th Month and the Last EMI will be 25% of Loan repayment. This scheme too is valid for all Hyundai models.
  3. Longest Duration Scheme*: Customers who want to pay smallest amount monthly EMIs to ease up the repayment of loan amount throughout the loan tenure, can opt for up to 8 years of loan repayment duration. This scheme is valid for select Hyundai models.
  4. Low Down Payment Scheme*: With the minimum possible down payment, customers can opt up to 100% On-road funding from financers under this scheme. This scheme is valid for select Hyundai Models

Hyundai announces Industry First ‘Hyundai EMI Assurance’ Program

As announced, Hyundai Motor India is all set to re-open dealership operations under strict adherence of government directions in COVID-19 affected areas.  Maintaining all Safety and Hygienic parameters, all Hyundai touch points -showrooms and workshops are following contactless services for customer interactions.
Announcing the Industry First Hyundai EMI Assurance Program, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director – Sales, Marketing and Service said, “Hyundai is a Progressive, Innovative and Caring brand. To ease the buying process, while keeping the fear of employment uncertainty at bay, a unique and Industry first customer program ‘Hyundai EMI Assurance Program’ has been introduced for select new Hyundai customers covering up to 3 car loan EMIs. The program covers the customers under uncertainties such as employment loss in view of Poor financial health/Acquisition/ Merger of the company or due to any applicable laws.
The Hyundai Assurance Program is offered on select Hyundai car models purchased during the month of May’20 and covers the customer for a period of one year from date of sale of the car (Excluding first 3 months).

Under the ambit of the ‘Hyundai Cares’ initiative, HMI has laid down guidelines to be followed at its Dealerships across India that encompass all facets of customer interactions. This will include Display car & Test Drive car preparedness, Customer Lounge & Washrooms sanitization (showroom & workshop), Delivery process of new car & Serviced car, Contactless Demonstration, and servicing. Customers can also opt for remote car demonstrations through online video conferencing application with Sales Consultants at Dealerships. Further, with Hyundai’s Click-to-Buy Integrated end-to-end online car sales website, customers can buy a brand-new Hyundai Car online. Hyundai is also offering customers its 360 Digital Service & Contact-less Service Experience, through which customers can book a service appointment online through the Hyundai Care app, WhatsApp, Hyundai Website, or a call to Dealers.

Hyundai Salutes Women through Power Women Camp


  • Offers Unique Experience to its Women Customers
Mumbai, March 6th, 2020: Hyundai Motor India Ltd, country’s first smart mobility solutions provider and largest exporter, today announced the commencement of Power Women Camp, a special scheme for its Valued Women Customers to celebrate Women’s Day . The camp will be organised from March 06 - 08, 2020 across 750 service workshops in India.
Commenting on the Power Women CampMr. S. Punnaivanam, National Service Head, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai being a customer-centric organisation strongly associates with its customers and aims to provide them with a ‘Happy Life’. We have undertaken the Power Women Camp to enhance the automotive knowledge of our Valued Women Customers. This initiative is aimed at providing an empowering learning experience while also illustrating various benefits through interactive workshops and offers."
The Power Women Camp will highlight the following benefits to 65,000 customers-
  • Women customers will be educated about the entire vehicle service process right from the service booking to delivery. 
  • Vehicle Maintenance tips, Dos & Don’ts will be elaborated on by dedicated service professionals in an interactive program – Know Your Hyundai.
  • One Year Free Road Side Assistance will be offered to all participating women customers (with vehicle age upto 6 years) as a part of the Power Women Camp.
To provide seamless service to our women customers, Hyundai is offering interactive digital initiatives that will further assist in tracking the entire service process. One such initiative is a transactional chat Based Medium – ‘Hyundai Service on Whatsapp’. Features like RO booking, Service reminders, In-service update, RO Invoice and Customer Feedback, are available at the touch of few clicks.

Hyundai Introduces ‘GRAND i10 NIOS’ – Sportz Variant with 1.0 l TURBO GDi Engine

The Sportz variant of the GRAND i10 NIOS has been launched at Rs 7,68,050 (Ex-Showroom ONE INDIA ONE PRICE)
