Mankind Pharma donates Rs 5 crores to families of Policemen martyred during Covid

  • Donates Rs 3 lakh to each family of the deceased Corona “warriors”
Mumbai, 16th June 2020: During the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak the country’s police force is on the frontlines battling the pandemic. Many dedicated policemen have lost their lives in the process.
As a responsible entity, Mankind Pharma is standing alongside the families of these heroes and will donate Rs 5 crores to support them. The company will donate Rs 3 lakh to each family of such warriors.
Mankind Pharma has been involved in the country’s fight against the pandemic in several ways. The company has produced affordable medicines, donated ventilators, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and medicines to the states. The dedicated efforts of the police force in containing the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic has been garnering respect from all quarters of society. Mankind Pharma believes that it is their duty, as a citizen and a part of the country, to appreciate the selfless sacrifice of our brave police officers.
Being a leading pharma company, Mankind Pharma has always aspired to be recognized as a top brand both in revenue and serving mankind/ people through its CSR activities. During the initial stage of the pandemic in the country, the company donated INR 51 crore to the CM Care Fund. The employees too joined the effort by contributing one day’s salary to the relief fund.
Very recently, Mankind Pharma also provided Rs 1 lakh each to Rama Sahu from Orrisa, Jyoti Kumari of Bihar, C. Mohan from Madurai, Akshay Kothawa from Pune and Devgania family from Vankla village, Surat who all helped the community in their own way during the pandemic

Being the first line of defense for us after the health workers during COVID, they are getting highly exposed to this deadly disease. As a homage to them we have started a small fund of Rs 5 crore to support and care for the families of these lost warriors. We hope with our little help, the families of these police warriors, can have some support for the future.”

Mankind Pharma salutes the act of real-life hero Akshay Kothawale for helping the poor and migrants with his wedding savings

~Offers Rs 1 lakh aid to support his selfless deed~ 
Mumbai, 08 June 2020: Amidst multiple tales of the struggle for survival in the ongoing global COVID-19 crisis, Mankind Pharma has been supporting the communities and frontline workers fighting the deadly virus. The company has stepped up and offered Rs. 1 lakh aid to Akshay Kothawale who runs auto rickshaw in Pune where he has been feeding 400 people with money saved for his marriage.

The company has stepped up and applauded the heroic tale of Jyoti Kumari for bringing back her injured father on a bicycle to her home in Bihar. Besides producing affordable medicines, it has donated ventilators, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and medicines to the states. Now Mankind has supported 30-year-old Akshay Kothawale, from Pune who has spent the money saved for his wedding to feed poor and migrant workers who are suffering due to the nationwide lockdown.

Mankind Pharma stands by real-life hero Jyoti Kumari: admires her brave effort during lockdown

~Offers Rs 1 lakh aid to ease her daily struggle in testing times~

With similar thoughts , the company has now stepped up and applauded the heroic tale of Jyoti Kumari by offering Rs 1 lakh aid to the lion-hearted girl.

Now Mankind has supported 15-year-old Jyoti Kumari, who cycled 1,200 kms with her ailing father riding pillion, from Gurugram to her home in Bihar amidst the lockdown.
