New ‘WWE Blockbusters @ 8:00 pm’, daily programming slot launches on SONY TEN 1 & SONY TEN 3 channels


Mumbai, April 2, 2020:
Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) today announced the launch of a new primetime programming slot, ‘WWE Blockbusters @ 8pm’, exclusively on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 3 channels. WWE Blockbusters will celebrate some of the most iconic matches in WWE history, honouring WWE Legends and showcasing the current WWE Superstars representing flagship brands – RAW, SmackDown and NXT.
Airing seven days a week, ‘WWE Blockbusters @ 8:00 pm’ will showcase the best of classic and current in-ring action invoking a sense of nostalgia and anticipation among fans of all ages through iconic moments throughout WWE history. WWE Blockbusters will feature action-packed programming from WWE’s archives including countdown shows, WWE Network Originals and documentaries; and will feature WWE Legends including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Triple H and many more.
WWE Blockbusters will celebrate a WWE Legend each month with a dedicated segment showcasing their storied career, airing every Sunday, titled ‘WWE Legend of the Month’. The segment launches with The Rock as April’s ‘WWE Legend of the Month’ followed by The Undertaker, ‘WWE Legend of the Month’ in May.
WWE Blockbusters will also feature WWE Superstars from today with the best matches from RAW, SmackDown and NXT.

SPSN is also set to broadcast WrestleMania, WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza, this weekend.  The highly-anticipated event will be watched by millions across India and around the world. This year, WrestleMania is “Too Big For Just One Night” and for the first time ever will be held over two-nights and hosted by three-time Super Bowl Champion Rob Gronkowski. WrestleMania will feature WWE Champion Brock Lesnar defending his Title against Drew McIntyre; The Undertaker rising against AJ Styles for a highly personal showdown; John Cena returning for an eagerly-anticipated clash with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending her title against Shayna Baszler amongst other anticipated matches.
WrestleMania will be aired in India on 5th April and 6th April at 3.30 am only on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 3 channels
WWE fans across India can also catch the repeat telecast of WrestleMania at 12.00 PM, at 4.00 PM and at 8.00 PM on 5th April and 6th April 2020 only on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 3 channels
RAW and SmackDown are part of SPSN’s weekly live shows and along with these brands, SPSN for the first time, will also telecast real-time action from WWE’s third flagship brand, NXT, LIVE and EXCLUSIVE, on a weekly basis.
WWE has been captivating audiences from across the country for years now and will give viewers another reason to tune in to NXT with the debut and journey of our very own Rinku Rajput and Saurav Gurjar from India as they attempt to become the next NXT Tag Team Champions.
WWE NXT will be telecast live and exclusive in India every Thursday only on SONY TEN 1 & SONY TEN 1 (HD) and SONY TEN 3 & SONY TEN 3 (HD) channels at 5.30 am.
WWE SmackDown will be telecast live and exclusive in India every Saturday only on SONY TEN 1 & SONY TEN 1 (HD) and SONY TEN 3 & SONY TEN 3 (HD) channels at 5.30 am.
WWE RAW will be telecast live and exclusive in India every Tuesday only on SONY TEN 1 & SONY TEN 1 (HD) and SONY TEN 3 & SONY TEN 3 (HD) channels at 5.30 am.

WWE Superstars are renowned worldwide for more than just their top-notch moves. Their offbeat and unique get-up has always been a striking and significant part of who they are and what their character stands for.
Halloween started off as an American holiday dedicated to scare people, dress up in quirky outfits and go ‘Trick or Treating’ has transcended into much more! For some kids and even adults, these 24 hours are nothing short of a fantasy come true. Many of us look up to both real and fictional characters and connect with them on a personal level. And this spritely holiday gives us a chance to be them!

Here’s how you can dress up as your favorite WWE Superstars this Halloween.
1.    The Undertaker: The Undertaker is often regarded as one of the most feared wrestlers in the WWE circuit. With his massive built and communication with the supernatural, heis popular with a horror-themed persona.
