While Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy has gotten stellar reviews for its premiere in the UK, many from the audiences have been gung ho about Ishaan’s performance as Maan Kapoor in the show. And while the six-part series has gotten the viewers’ attention right from the first episode, A Suitable Boy has also achieved another huge feat. The TV drama will now also be showcased at the 45th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.
It is said that the first two episodes from the drama will be shown at TIFF’s closing ceremony. Ishaan Khatter’s A Suitable Boy premiered in the UK on July 26th and it received great applause from the audience. Even in India, there has been a lot of hype around Ishaan’s layered character in the show. In fact, Ishaan himself has also mentioned how the unpredictable and fun vibe of Maan Kapoor made him fall in love with the character. Well, Ishaan has totally done justice to his part and it’s not just him, but also his chemistry with Tabu (who plays a courtesan Saeeda Bai). While the critics have continued to sing praises for Ishaan and his amazing work in the show, the young actor is sure to charm the audience in India.
On the professional front, while Ishaan’s character in A Suitable Boy continues to be celebrated, the young actor has a lot more to look up to. His next is Khaali Peeli with Ananya Panday where he will be seen doing some intense action and after that is a horror comedy with Katrina Kaif called Phone Bhoot.
