Scintillating Sonu has played prominent & solo roles in tvc's with superstar Hrithik Roshan as well as acclaimed actors such as Paresh Rawal & Prakash Raj.
She has also done tvc's for new age brands with prominent personalities like Chef Gautam Maharishi (Gajanand Masala) and Prashant Damle (Genericart).
A tvc that she shot 2 weeks back for the top tiles brand AGL Tiles (Diwali campaign) Sonu feels the character that she played is so perfect and true to her real life nature. This particular tvc in just 7 days time of being launched has garnered lakhs of views on Instagram, Facebook and on YouTube.
Another tvc that she shot a few weeks back for AMO Electric bikes campaign has also garnered millions of views on YouTube.
Sonu says, “I am proud and privileged to work with icons like Hrithik Roshan, Prakash Raj ( Kayam Churan & Tablets), Paresh Rawal (Tulsi Tea) & Prashant Damle who make excellent co-stars. They really give space to their co-stars on sets. They encouraged me to transcend the regular and routine even while they excelled in their art and craft."
In an age where OTT is flourishing, Sonu has now set her sights on portraying real-to-life characters and acting in biopics. “Biopics are a slice of life....and what better than an opportunity to portray real life characters, who have achieved something in life!” she says. Sonu is in talks with several prominent filmmakers for a 360-degree character showcasing a slice of real life in web series.
Incidentally, versatile Sonu can be a Diva as well as a Devi on screen as she has eloquently portrayed several mythological Indian characters including Goddess Saraswati in a long running serial for a top Channel .
She has donned an oomph glam avatar as well as been featured the perfect Desi (Bharatiya) naari synonymous with traditional Indian values, culture and ethos.
The innocent-faced Sonu has also portrayed characters with negative shades and anti-heroines. Having played such strong powerful characters she has won acclaim and love of her fans even in such roles.
She is looking forward to doing an out-and-out action flick... “Today I have evolved as an actor & as a person. I am now looking at portraying more interesting & significantly different characters --- be it web series, films or other digital formats,” says Sonu.
The multi-facetted Sonu has worked in South Indian films and has been getting several offers even today. Since she is originally from Gujarat, several Gujarati filmmakers have also been approaching her.
Sonu philosophizes that her potential is untapped. “Like every actor I feel that my true potential is yet to be explored... It is a never-ending journey... and the day I feel that I have done what my potential entails then that would be the end of my journey as an actor,” says Sonu.
At present, Sonu is totally focused on the big ticket Hindi film that she has signed and will commence shooting early next year.
