The contestants this week are fighting the biggest challenge of sustainability on Zee Café’s Chef Vs Fridge Season 2. At present times when mankind has risen in exploiting earth’s resources, the discussion on sustainability has also risen. The next episode of Chef Vs Fridge will give the audience insights on sustainable cuisine from the judges Chef Ajay Chopra and Chef Shipra Khanna. Contestants of the show will also be seen facing the challenge of sustainability as they use vegetable peels and leaves to prepare their dishes. While all this goes on, the boss chiller’s ingredient split milk proves to be a googly for the contestants.
Split milk that was introduced 15 minutes post the start of the cooking time proved to be an ultimate challenge. While the two contestants relied on their experience to effectively use it as a part of their dishes, they also gave insights on its use. Chef Afsha Rajqotwala who used the ingredient as a dressing for her ricotta mentioned that split milk can be used in households for making cream cheese, paneer that can be flavoured through multiple herbs, spices, etc. Chef Sumair mentioned that challenges have always excited him and split milk punched a rush of adrenaline. He was motivated to give his best and effectively use it in his final dish.
