Anurag Sharma recalls his first day on the sets of Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya: Young actors came to my room and said, ‘Sir, we’re so happy you’re here'

Co-stars are key to building a fun and supportive atmosphere on set, and Anurag Sharma, who joined Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya on Sun Neo after it began, knows this well. Reflecting on the strong bonds he's formed with the cast, Anurag shared fond memories of his first day on set, recalling how warmly he was welcomed and how those connections have grown since.
Sharing his thoughts, Anurag said, “The team of Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya is really nice. Sometimes, when you join a new project, you meet people who prefer to keep to themselves, but here, everyone is very friendly and down-to-earth. Most of the cast is young, and they treat me with a lot of warmth and respect. The senior actors are also very kind. We all eat lunch together in one room, especially with Ammaji, the grandmother in the show, which creates a feeling of togetherness.”
Recalling his first day on set, the Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya actor said, “On my first day, all the young actors came to my room, excited to meet me. They said, ‘Sir, we’re so happy you’re here! It’s going to be so much fun.’ It was such a nice moment. It reminded me of when I was younger and excited to meet senior actors when I first started in the industry. Now, being on the other side of that felt special. It made me realise how much time has passed and how work has become more serious over the years. But overall, everyone is wonderful and working hard. I hope Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya continues to receive love and grows over time.”
Anurag Sharma plays the role of Shamsher in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, a ruthless character intricately connected to Vaishnavi, portrayed by Brinda Dahal. The show, airing on Sun Neo at 7 PM, centres around Vaishnavi, an orphan who draws strength and comfort from her unshakable faith in Chhathi Maiyya, who acts as a motherly figure in her life. Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Brinda Dahal, and Ashish Dixit.
