I had the opportunity to meet Honourable Steel Minister Shri H D Kumaraswamy today, where I raised the issue of the Steel containers stucked at the Mumbai & other ports due to the non-receipt of NOCs from the Steel Ministry. I highlighted the challenges posed by the delays, including detentions, demurrage, and the production loss, especially during the festive season, which could potentially result in significant national losses.
The Minister instructed his Private Secretary to immediately coordinate with the Additional Secretary (Steel) and Joint Secretary (Steel) to address the issue promptly.
Additionally, on behalf of MASMA, I extended an invitation to Shri Kumaraswamy to be the Chief Guest at our Diwali function on the 9th of November, 2024. While he expressed his inability to attend due to the upcoming by-poll elections in Karnataka, he conveyed his best wishes for a successful event and extended Diwali greetings to all MASMA members.
This meeting was facilitated by Shri Sunil Singhiji , Chairman National Trader’s Wefare Board .
Warm regards,
Jitendra shah
( President- FAM / Board member- National Traders Welfare Board - Govt of India )
