‘ALWAYS A BEARDO’ celebrates the Quarantine Beard

Beardo’s new campaign unites men across India in a new crowdsourced music video to embrace and salute their beards
National, May 2020: Beardo is celebrating beards and facial hair across the country in a cool new video that shines the spotlight on the beards grown during lockdown. ALWAYS A BEARDO, a catchy upbeat original music track was made free to download through an Instagram post. Men were encouraged to share videos and images of their lockdown beards using the ALWAYS A BEARDO song as the soundtrack. What started as a fun idea snowballed into a massive project given the overwhelming 10,000 strong responses received across India. With a focus on embracing the quarantine beard and remaining cool and classy in your own skin, the video features over 50 of India’s coolest beardos whose entries were shortlisted and edited to the final crowdsourced video.
As the Beardo brotherhood grows, the brand felt they needed to celebrate ALL entries received and not just 50 shortlisted ones. . As a token of appreciation to the staggering response received, Beardo leveraged technology to create over 3500 edits by way of personalized videos featuring every customer’s image and shared it back them. A fun way for them to have their own personalized music video along with the Beardo community and proudly showcase their quarantine beard over their social media.

If there’s anything that isolation has done, it’s renew and reignite the passion in men, giving them the time  they needed to grow the bad-ass beards or style the moustache they’ve always wanted”, said Sujot Malhotra, Chief Business Officer
