Brands Contributing to the Current COVID-19 Situation in Best Possible Ways


It's a challenging time for many, with existing social and economic issues exacerbated by the Covid-19 crisis, and people all over the world are experiencing an unprecedented change in circumstances.
The renowned brands are playing their part too, donating profits from the sales of products to charity and rallying the industry's stars, from designers to its best photographers, from Corporate to fitness amongst others to raise money amidst the current crisis. Making a difference!
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to make a devastating impact worldwide, various brands and companies are dutifully stepping up to the plate to help out in any and every way they can.
To aid in the crisis, big-names brands are donating generous sums of money to charities assisting hospitals, victims, families, children and more.
Here's a roundup of a few  eminent brands contributing to good causes during these difficult times:
SHYAMAL & BHUMIKA
Celebrated Indian couturiers Shyamal & Bhumika have pledged to donate 25,000 washable masks (that they are producing in-house), 5,000 of which have been delivered to the municipal corporation and 1,000 to the police authorities to avoid the spread of coronavirus, while the rest are still being manufactured.
AND
Fashion designer Anita Dongre has announced that she is donating Rs 1.5 crore as a medical fund to support the small vendors and self-employed artisans working with her amid the coronavirus outbreak.
MUFTI
In a bid to extend support and applaud the efforts of the frontline warriors in their fight against the spread of the pandemic, leading Indian denim brand Mufti expressed its gratitude towards the men in uniform by donating to the Mumbai Police Foundation. The men’s fashion brand has also provided food grains for 1,800 families through Bhamla Foundation and distributed the same with Ashish Shelar among the poor and needy in Mumbai city.
Diageo India
As the pandemic escalates across the states, Diageo India has pitched in as well to keep the spirits high. The global alcohol-beverage manufacturing brand has said that it will re-purpose its 15 units across the country to produce around 300,000 litres of sanitiser to help overcome the shortage.
Curefit
Curefit have pledged to contribute Rs 4 crore. And under their #MovementForMovement challenge, whoever completes 12 days of online workout, Cultfit will donate Rs 100 to the PM relief fund.
