CITIZENS FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION FOUNDATION WENT LIVE ON INSTAGRAM WITH ACTRESS DAISY SHAH

"My love for animals come from my dad. I have been around animals all my life." said Daisy Shah

#HungryHaiSabhi is an initiative which was started by Citizens for Animal Protection a local NGO based out of Thane. This initiative began during the lockdown with a realization of how much this would affect the animals living on the street. The NGO had collaborated with Bollywood Actress Daisy Shah for a live session on May 24^th at 5 pm via Instagram to spread awareness and reach out to the mass.

Daisy Shah who is well known for her love for strays and goes with the motto adopt, don’t shop said “A little amount of food and a hell lot of love and care is all they need. Good thing is love and care doesn’t cost money. “

During the live session Daisy shared some of her thoughts on how the impact of lockdown on animals and how she has been doing her bit by feeding strays in her residential area. Daisy said "I feed the cats in my building, the dogs in my vicinity and keep a big bucket downstairs where even the cows come to drink water”.They also discussed about the a unique initiative known as  Virtual Fostering (i.e. online fostering of animals by sponsoring their food for 20 days) through which cap foundation is trying to help raise funds for the large animals.

The current scenario has led to various other issues apart from starvation which is pertaining to abandoning of animals both large and small due to lack of food and misconceptions. She shared "It is humans who have taken over their (animals) planet. We must learn to coexist."

This Lockdown has not only been hard on humans but much harder for animals and being the more vocal species we should stand up for them and assist them in all the ways possible.
