प्लॅनेट मराठीची पहिलीवहिली निर्मिती असलेला ‘एबी आणि सीडी’ हा धम्माल चित्रपट प्रदर्शित झाल्यानंतर अगदी दुसऱ्याच दिवसापासून करोनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर शासनाकडून सिनेमा आणि नाट्यगृह बंद करण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आले. त्यामुळे ‘एबी आणि सीडी’ बरोबरीनेच इतर अनेक चित्रपटांच बॉक्स ऑफिसवरील आर्थिक गणित कोलमडल. पण, त्यामुळे डगमगून न जाता निर्माता अक्षय बर्दापूरकर आणि संपूर्ण टीमने हा चित्रपट ‘अॅमेझाॅन प्राइम’वर प्रदर्शित करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. १ मे महाराष्ट्र दिन आणि कामगार दिनाचं औचित्य साधत हा चित्रपट ओटीटीवर प्रदर्शित झाला आणि लोकांनी हा सिनेमा उचलून धरला. आता ‘एबी आणि सीडी’च्या भरघोस यशानंतर प्लॅनेट मराठी सहा नव्या कोऱ्या सिनेमा आणि वेबसिरीजची निर्मिती करणार आहे. प्लॅनेट मराठीचा सर्वेसर्वा आणि निर्माता अक्षय बर्दापूरकर याने नुकतीच ही घोषणा केली आहे. शांतनू रोडे दिग्दर्शित ‘गोष्ट एका पैठणीची’ आणि प्रसाद ओक दिग्दर्शित ‘चंद्रमुखी’ हे आगामी काळातील त्यांचे दोन महत्त्वाचे चित्रपट. 

सिनेमाच्या यश-अपयशाबरोबरीने रसिक प्रेक्षकांचं मनोरंजन करत राहणं हे आपलं कर्तव्य आहे. त्यामुळे कोणत्याही संकटापुढे खचून न जाता त्याचा धैर्याने सामना करत येणाऱ्या भविष्याला सामोरं जाण्याची तयारी प्रत्येकाने ठेवायला हवी आणि म्हणूनच अक्षय बर्दापूरकर यांनी या अटीतटीच्या काळातही घेतलेल्या या महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णयाला धाडसच म्हणणं चुकीचं ठरणार नाही. आपण जर ‘फिल्म इंडस्ट्री’ म्हणतो, तर त्यातून सतत निर्मिती होणं अत्यावशक असल्याचंही ते आवर्जून सांगतात. शिवाय, सिनेमाचे दिग्दर्शक, कलाकार, तंत्रज्ञ आणि पडद्यामागील सगळ्यांना येत्या काळात आर्थिक अडचणींचा सामना करायला लागू नये म्हणून हा निर्णय त्या प्रत्येकासाठी मोलाचा ठरणारा आहे.

प्लॅनेट मराठी नेहमीच मराठी सिनेमा आणि कलाकार कोणत्याही बाबतीत मागे पडू नये म्हणून सतत प्रयत्नशील असतो. आता प्लॅनेट मराठीच्या या भविष्यातील विविध प्रोजेक्ट्समध्ये प्लॅनेट टॅलेंट मधील कलाकारांसोबतच नव्या कलागुणांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी अनेक नवीन कलाकारांना संधी देणार असल्याची माहिती निर्मात्यांनी दिली. शिवाय वैविध्यपूर्ण अशा या अनेक चित्रपटामध्ये बॉलीवूडच्या बड्या कलाकारांच्या देखील भूमिका असणार आहेत. आता या सिनेमा आणि वेबसिरीजमध्ये कोण कलाकार असतील? त्यांचे दिग्दर्शक कोण असतील? आणि बॉलीवूडचे कोणते चेहरे यात झळकतील ही माहिती अद्यापही गुलदस्त्यात आहे.

मराठी सिनेश्रुष्टीमध्ये सुसूत्रता आणून कोणत्याही बाबतीत आपण कोलमडून न जाता त्यावर मात करण्याची गरज आहे. म्हणूनच, येत्या काळात प्लॅनेट मराठी सहा नवे कोरे सिनेमे आणि वेब सिरीज घेऊन येणारं आहे. शिवाय, अनेक आर्थिक गणितं स्थिर राखण्याच्या दृष्टीने हा निर्णय महत्त्वाचा ठरणार आहे.

Planet Marathi announces SIX NEW FILMS PROJECTS… 

            It was just a day after the release of a Mega Venture Film ‘AB ani CD’ by Planet Marathi, the orders for closure of Cinema halls and the Drama theaters were issued by the Government. This devastated and collapsed the Box Office arithmetic of many other films along with ‘AB ani CD’. However without getting bogged down by this sudden onslaught Producer Akshay Bardapurkar and his team took a brave decision to release this film on Amazon Prime. Considering the propriety of occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labor Day on the 1^st May, the film released on the Amazon Prime and the audiences provided a huge response to the presentation. Now with the huge success of ‘AB ani CD’, Planet Marathi is going to produce SIX NEW and FRESH film & Web series projects. All in all for Planet Marathi, Producer Akshay Bardapurkar announced this recently. Two of the important films that would be arriving under the banner are ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’ Directed by Shantanu Rode and ‘Chandramukhi’ Directed by Prasad Oak.

            Apart from the successes and failures attached to the films, the industry is duty bound for entertainment of the audiences. Therefore without getting bogged down by any adversities, everyone should keep himself in readiness to fight the same courageously and to move ahead towards future. It is with this that the important decision by Akshay Bardapurkar during these difficult times has to be tagged as a bold step. He emphasizes that continuous production here is utmost essential if we call this as a Film Industry. At the same time this decision is going to prove extremely valuable for Film Directors, artists, technicians and everyone behind the scenes so that they do not have to face lifestyle difficulties.

            Planet Marathi has always been striving so that Marathi Films and Marathi artists do not lag behind for anything. The Producers have said that they would make available many opportunities during future projects for Planet Talent artists as well as fresh talents for encouraging them. Above projects will have both a genuine variety as well as roles played by top actors from Bollywood. However, the information about the cast as well as directors and the faces from Bollywood appearing in these films has been a secret for now.

            By streamlining Marathi film world and without getting collapsed by circumstances, we need to overcome the situation. This is the reason we are coming out with SIX fresh new films and Web series very soon. The decision is going to be most important from the angle of maintaining stability for many economic arithmetic issues.
