Zee Café has always been quick in recognising audience needs and interests and therefore holds a strong legacy amongst English GEC channels in India. For more than 20 years, the channel has succeeded to pull eyeballs for its trending content and needed innovations. With growing popularity for foreign shows amongst all sections, the channel has now come forward to enhance its programming and let viewers enjoy their favourite shows in the language of their choice. Starting from December 19th, all shows running in the time band of 2-4 PM will have an option for the audience to either watch them in their original language or switch to Hindi. This is the first time that any English GEC channel in India has given an option of changing the language as per viewer’s choice and this has been done keeping in view, the increased consumption of foreign content in their original languages as well as in Hindi.
To kick-start the new evolution, the channel is bringing Marvel anime- Ironman at 2 PM and Masterchef Season 11 at 3 PM. To make the programming fun, the channel plans to keep the time band a mix of drama and reality shows, where the 2-3 PM band would mostly telecast Anime, the 3-4 PM band would be dedicated to seasons of Masterchef Australia followed by K-Dramas.
