Mumbai, 25th March 2021: VHC Vida Heydari Contemporary which is one of Pune’s brand new contemporary art gallery is be hosting a solo exhibition of work called FUGITIVE DUST. The opening of the latest exhibition is comprising a body of works by M. Pravat, a Delhi-based artist and has been curated by Sabih Ahmed, Curator of Ishara Art Foundation, Dubai. The exhibition features artworks and studies by Pravat that present a condensed encounter with the material flux of contemporary reality.
The show features artworks and studies from Pravat’s practice spanning from 2016 to 2021 that includes sculptural installations, paintings, drawings, collage works and prints. M. Pravat’s art practice utilises materials that draw on lived experiences of the built environment. His works evoke the disintegration of cityscapes where blue-prints, maps, architecture and geological land mass collapse into one another
Commenting on the launch M. Pravat said “Viewership is an important part of my work. I am trying to accumulate a lot in a certain space like tiny particles floating around. When a person starts viewing the work from a particular point, that’s where their journey starts and, as they step closer and closer to the work, they see the details ingrained in it. When they move away, they will see something else. “You may see the work itself moving,”.
The exhibition starts from March 06,2021 and continues until May 02,2021 at Vida Heydari Contemporary Art Gallery, Pune.
