THE INAUGURAL DAY OF THE 2-DAY SEMINAR, CINE TALKIES 2022 ENDED ON AN APPLAUDING NOTE

~The one of its kind evenings was a host to various Crème de la crème of the industry who took us on a journey of their freedom struggle among other few immersing subjects~

Mumbai, XXXX: Sanskar Bharti, one of the well-known organsiation working towards the promotion of Indian art and culture worldwide along with the Academy of Theatre Arts, Mumbai University, and IGNCA are celebrating the 75 years of Independence and the contribution of Indian cinema towards it. The 2-day seminar, Cine Talkies, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Started with many heartfelt memories and aspiring conversations.

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of state for culture and parliamentary affairs, Government of India graced the inaugural event today by marking his extraordinary presence along with other key dignitaries, Padmashri Awardee & legendry actress Shrimati Asha Parekh, Renowned writer-director and the Padma Shri awardee, Shri Chandraparaksh Dwivedi, Dr. Sacchidanand Joshi, Member secretory, IGNCA, Pro. Dr. Suhas Pednekar, VC, Mumbai University & President Sanskar Bharti, and Shri Vasudev Kamanth shall grace the event with their presence among others.

Gracing the inaugural ceremony Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of state for culture and parliamentary affairs, Government of India said, “We should not forget the sacrifices of the freedom heroes, and the films that have played an immense role in keeping the same zeal and memory alive over the years. We know what has happened in the last 25 years, and we are working towards it but we also have to make sure that we know the road map for the future hence quoting our prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji’s speech from the red fort recently, this is time for our country, the most important time, India’s most precious time. Let us make our country a huge success in the world. To carry forward the thought we shall remember all the freedom heroes who fought for us and sacrificed their lives to give us the freedom we have today. I appreciate the people associated with Sanskar Bharti for creating a platform to celebrate the 75 years of independence we enjoy because of the heroes unsaid and unspoken these days. This is truly going to bring light to our country’s beautiful independence journey, today surely is the ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mohotsav’.”

The gathering also witnessed the launch of ‘The Encyclopaedia on Bharatiya Cinema’ along with the Cine Talkies Souvenir. Cine Talkies 2022 has marked its glory as the first-ever conclave on the contribution of the Indian Film Industry to the Indian Freedom Struggle and its depiction in cinema or movies.

Commenting on the inaugural ceremony, Padmashri Awardee Shrimati Asha Parekh said I am grateful to be a part of the film fraternity that we are all celebrating today together at the cine talkies 2022. I would like to congratulate the various members of Sanskar Bharti for adopting this beautiful conceptualization and making it into a grand celebration. Our Country is a diversified collaboration of language, art, cultures, society, and most important the folk art. Sanskar Bharti is doing a commendable job in creating awareness among the common man of our country. Back in our days we were more focused on entertainment now the cinema speaks the language of brotherhood and characters. Cinema played a catalyst in removing the social barriers that our country was baffled in. I feel the hidden gems of the talents across our country have to be brought upright in front of the world via cinema. I am sure with the continuous efforts of Sanskar Bharti and all the present dignitaries today, this shall be achieved in the future too. Cine talkies is going to be successful in all ways as it shall create and impact people with its cinema sunshine.”

The seminar started with the mesmerising voice of the convener of the event, Mr. Arun Shekhar, followed by a conversant Presentation by Dr. Pradeep Kenchanuru, on filmmakers who were a part of the freedom struggle. Post s short break the seminar continued with a Panel discussion Moderated by Mr. Rakesh Mittal on Dada Saheb Phalke’s motivation, his vision, and his art, with dignitaries like Mr. Paresh Mokashi, Mr. Kamal Swaroop, and Mr. M.K Raghvendra. The second-panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Runa Ashish Bhutda, with the keynote speakers like Mr. A.K Raveendran, Mr. Manoj Muntashir, and Mr. Subodh Bhave, talking about Patriotism as a driving force for Indian Cinema.

The 2-day seminar witnessed a lot of remembering emotions, achievements, and the great contribution Indian cinema has given to the country via its dialogue and enthralling scenes of the great Indian Freedom struggle. The event by Sanskar Bharti shall proudly host people from all walks of life, especially the Indian cinema, filmmakers of various origins of our country, aspiring film students, critics, and cinema lovers, and a total of 300 plus delegates, who will be a witness to the historic celebration of cinema and the 75years of Independence.

The evening concluded with a remarkable performance – Swatantryagaan by renowned musicians Kaushal Inamdar and Kamlesh Bhadkamkar.
