Will Devi Paulomi succeed in getting Swati out of Indresh’s life?

&TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein beautifully captures and narrates a pure relationship between a Bhakt and Bhagwan. In the show, Santoshi Maa (Gracy Singh) at every step guides her ardent bhaktSwati (Tanvi Dogra) through every hurdle that has a possibility of disrupting her life. In the last episode, viewers witnessed how Santoshi Maa guided Swati in undertaking the Vat Savitri Vrat to save Indresh (Ashish Kadian). In the upcoming episodes, a new twist is on the cards that will lead to an uproar in Swati’s life.

Previously, Sighasan Singh (Sushil Sinha) was keen to get Indresh and Nidhi(Dharti Bhatt) married. However, Indresh strongly opposed to the union as he wanted to marry Swati. The situation led to Nidhi moving out of Indresh’s life. But in a dramatic turn of events, Nidhi makes a comeback as a doctor to save Indresh’s life after the horrific accident. Devi Paulomi (Sara Khan) is hellbent to get back at Swati and cause havoc in her life. Drama ensues when Nidhi, who is treating Indresh, gets possessed by Devi Paulomi. She suddenly starts interacting very differently with everyone raising a lot of questions and confusions. Devi Paulomi aims to get Swati out of Indresh’s life and to do so; she has been trying different tricks for a long time. After a failed attempt to kill Indresh, Paulomi decides to seize Nidhi’s body to rule her actions. Not knowing what is going on with her, Nidhi follows Devi Paulomi’s instructions while she is under her possession.

Talking about this high-octane drama Dharti Bhatt who plays Nidhi shares, “Nidhi’s comeback in Indresh’s life has not gone down very well for Swati. Nidhi is still very miffed with Indresh and his family for rejecting her marriage proposal but, continues with her duty as a doctor only to be possessed by Devi Paulomi. It brings a major turmoil in Swati and Indresh’s life after an auspicious offering by Nidhi changes Indresh completely. What will this change be in Indresh? It makes Swati’s life go upside down, adding more to her woes and worries. A lot of drama unfolds with Nidhi’s entry. But what remains to be seen is if Swati be able to turntables? Talking about TMT’s bond, Deepesh Bhan who plays Malkhan, says, “Tika-Malkhan-Tillu (TMT) are best friends in the show, more like partners in crime. Good, bad, whatever it is, they are in it together. That is the dynamic bonding of TMT! When I first met Vaibhav (Tika) and Salim (Tillu), I never thought the three of us would become such thick friends! I guess it was due to our characters that our on-screen chemistry spilled onto our real lives as well. From sharing screen space to pulling some or the other pranks on each other off-screen, we have grown onto each other. Love my brothers, Tika and Tillu and here is wishing them a Happy Friendships Day! TMT ki tri-jodiamarrahe!”

&TV’s Gudiya from Gudiya HumariSabhi Pe Bhari, Sarika Bahroliya, feels fortunate to have found a best friend in her co-actorShweta Rajput who plays her sister in law Sweety in the show. Talking about their friendship, Sarika shares, “Sweety is Gudiya’s best bhabhi! Gudiya has her unique quips and quirks to life and often gets into trouble. But Sweetybhabhi covers up for her. They share a sweet and sour bonding as Sweety also shows Gudiya her place when she is wrong. Shweta and I have bonded from day one of Gudiya HumariSabhi Pe Bhari. It just feels like we are one unit. She is elder to me, but our friendship transcends work and shooting.”

Sarika further adds, “During the lockdown, I used to feel so anxious, but Shweta was always just a call away! I could call her anytime without any obligation. I would say I am lucky to have found such an amazing soul as my best friend because only a few people find friends in a completely different city amidst a different culture than your hometown. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Friendships Day from Shweta and me!” 

Happu Ki Ultan Paltan has seen many friendships flourishing. Two such great bonds of friendships are of Happu-Benny and Kamlesh-Kat. Essayed by Yogesh Tripathi and Vishwanath Chatterjee respectively, Happu-Benny share a Khatta-Meetha friendship; In contrast, Kamlesh-Kat essayed by Sanjay Choudhary and Ashan Kishore respectively, are lovers in the show. However, friendship was their stepping stone to love. Both the duos share an exceptional bond, both on-screen and off-screen.

Talking about finding a friend in Benny (Vishwanath Chatterjee), Yogesh Tripathi, the Happu of &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan says, “Benny is Happu’s go-to person, and Benny on the other hand always gives Happu unsolicited advice which mostly proves to be a huge blunder! Yet, Happu and Benny are the thickest of friends, with their periodic individual differences. Off-camera, Vishwanath and I are total mastikhors! We are always up to something! The days we shoot together, someone or the other will be pranked! I think friendship is just that, having immense fun together! Vishwanath is a wonderful human being, and I hope our friendship goes on for years to come!”

Ashna Kishore aka Kat, Happu Singh’s eldest daughter in the show, talks about her equation with Kamlesh (Sanjay Choudhary), says, “Kamlesh and Kat are boyfriend-girlfriend who study in the same college. They are always conversing in English because they feel like they are at Oxford University. But both alike speak awful English (laughs). We are always in splits while shooting these sequences. Off-screen, Sanjay and I are the best of friends. We spend a lot of time in between shots – chatting, joking, rehearsing, some days sharing a meal, etc. There’s never a dull moment with him! Yes, on-screen we play a couple, but kehtehainadosti hi pyaarkipehli manzil hotihai. It all begins with friendship. Here’s wishing my comrade in arms, Sanjay a very Happy Friendship’s Day!”

Gudiya and Guddu at loggerheads in &TV’s Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari?

&TV’s Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari is a slice of the life story of Gudiya (Sarika Bahroliya), having her own unique quips and quirks to life. Gudiya’s marriage has been one major sore point for her parents Sarla (Samta Sagar) and Radhe (Ravi Mahashabde). As the forthcoming episodes introduce new characters, we see a whole new level of drama when Gudiya tries to set Guddu (Karam Rajpal) straight with her old tricks. Will she be able to win the battle or Gudiya padegiGuddu pe Bhari? This will be revealed in the coming episodes.

A war had begun between the bholisi Gudiya and the khandaaniGunda, Guddu. While Gudiya belongs to a simple family, Guddu belongs to an ancestral dacoit family. Soon into the episode, Gudiya finds out about this truth but does not budge from pulling pranks on him. She has been the mastermind behind bringing Guddu all sorts of trouble simply because she wants him and his family to leave her town! Despite several warnings from him, she goes on to bother him, and each time a notch higher. From throwing water at each other to now cow dung, Gudiya and Guddu are at loggerheads with each other!

Talking about the battle with Guddu, Sarika Bahroliya, the Gudiya of Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari says, “Gudiya ka toh kaam hi hai sab pe bharipadna! I’m just doing my job (laughs!). Jokes apart, I had a lot of fun shooting for this episode with Karam. The pranks appear so much fun on camera, so you can imagine how much fun we had while shooting the sequences! Things are very sour between Guddu and Gudiya and may get worse. Audiences are going to be thrilled to see the antics Gudiya pulls off to trouble Guddu!”

Sharing his experience of shooting for the pranks episode, Karam Rajpal a.k.aGuddu says, “It was great fun to shoot for the episodes. Albeit I am shown bothered by Gudiya’s tactics of brining my trouble, I do have my fun time seeing Gudiya get entangled in her own mess! My character is shown to be docile but only till the time it is bearable. Gudiya does something in the episode that crosses the line, and things go from bad to worse in a jiffy! While offline Gudiya and Guddu get along very well, on-screen they are at war with each other. There is a secret about Guddu which the episode will reveal further. Gudiya’s “devil-may-care” attitude despite knowing what Guddu’s family is capable of will prove to be a considerable problem for Gudiya and her family. Things will go to such a dramatic extent that will compel Guddu to come to Gudiya’s house and threaten them with lodging a police complaint against Gudiya. What will Gudiya now do? How will she ensure Guddu and his family leave town? Or will she apologise and befriend Guddu will be revealed in the forthcoming episodes.

The Moral Dilemmas in &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathaeyin

&TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein captures the pure connection between a ‘Bhakt and Bhagwan’. In the current scheme of situations, Indresh (Ashish Kadian) and Swati (Tanvi Dogra) are to formally wed each other with proper Rasm and Riwaaz. While Indresh has kept this fact hidden that Swati is indeed not pregnant, Kunti (Purva Parag), Indresh’s mother is already looking forward to a grandchild. The rest of Indresh’s family is not willing to accept Swati as their Bahu and asks her to leave the house. Meanwhile, in Devlok, Poulomi (Sara Khan) blames Santoshi Maa (Gracy Singh) for the kidnapping of Lord Indra. She requests Mahadev and Lord Vishnu to punish Maa by taking away all her powers. How will Santoshi Maa now be able to help her ardent devotee Swati and her husband Indresh, to come together again?

As the story moves forward, Indresh and Swati leave for Swati’s place. Kunti too willingly wants to leave them. As they reach Swati’s house, Indresh seeks blessings from Swati’s parents who are delighted to see them together. Kunti gives her Kangan to Swati asks Indresh to call the Panditji for fixing up the final dates. The Panditji then arrives and discloses that a re-marriage is impossible as Indresh’s life is in danger. Swati asks for a solution, to which Panditji says they will have to live separately from each other for more than a month and perform a MahamrityumjayMahamantra chanting. While in Devlok, Santoshi Maa bears the brunt of Lord Vishnu’s wrath due to Poulomi’s accusation of the kidnapping of Indra. All her powers are taken away from her, and she is sent away to Prithvilok in search for Indra.

Talking about the plot, Gracy Singh, who plays Santoshi Maa, says, “This was one of the most intense scenes for me as Santoshi Maa’s powers were taken away and it became exceedingly difficult for her to help her devoted Bhakt Swati in one of her toughest times. And how this will impact Swati? Will Maa will be able to guide her to bring things back to normal? That is my view will be the true testament of a “Bhakt and Bhagwan” relationship.”

Swati prepares to have the bad omen lifted from Indresh as suggested by Panditji and leaves the house to stay away from Indresh. In the process of bringing Swati back, Indresh meets with a horrible accident! Will Swati along with Santoshi Maa be able to save Indresh’s life? Will Indresh’s family now blame everything on Swati?

Akanksha Juneja brings out her fierce side as Simhika in &TV’s Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram

Renowned television actress Akanksha Juneja who is known for her portrayal of varied negative characters is all set to make an entry with yet another negative role in &TV’s Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram. The actress who was last seen essaying the female avatar of Lord Shiva is all set to shed her elegant appearance to get into the skin of the ferocious character of Simhika, the daughter of a demon king and mother of Svarbhanu who was beheaded by Lord Vishnu into Rahu the head part and Ketu the body part.

Akanksha unlike other actors has never shied from experimenting with negative characters. Believing in the thought that there is always something new about each negative role, she eagerly looks forward to playing this new character. Talking further about this, Akanksha Juneja said, “I like to play negative roles as it gives you a chance to portray different shades of yourself. While essaying the character of Simhika, I used voice variations in different places and also developed a signature laughter for my character to build more intrigue.”  

With each interesting character comes its own sets of challenges which Akanksha also faced while stepping into her character. “I wanted to experiment with a completely different look,  but was really not aware about how difficult it would be to don this character’s look. As actors we are used to carrying a heavy look but when you have use paint and other materials on your body to depict your character, that where the real challenge lies. Shooting as Simhika meant donning a completely black look. While, it takes me 4 hours to get the look right, it takes more than 2 hours to get the colour off my body. There are slight shades of black on my skin which will take a while to go. All in all I believe it was completely worth for the experience and the character.

Bringing forth the dreaded character of Simhika, Akanksha is looking forward to striking a chord with her viewers.

A near-fatal accident for Ashish Kadian on the set of &TV’s Santoshi Maa – Sunaye Vrat Kathayein

Talk about the power of the divine and you’ll notice how we are protected by the almighty in so many ways throughout our busy day. A recent horrific incident with actor Ashish Kadian’s made his belief in the almighty even stronger than ever. The actor who plays the character of Indresh in &TV’s mythology show Santoshi Maa – Sunaye Vrat Kathayein was left shocked when his reel accident scene turned to a real one!

While shooting for an intense accident sequence with a truck charging towards him (Ashish) at great speed, midway got stuck in a pothole and was about to tilt and fall onto the actor. Tanvi Dogra who essays the role of his wife Swati on the show too was part of this sequence. The ones who believe in the divine power and who witnessed this mishap would certainly say that the accident was averted due to divine power. The incident shook both Tanvi and Ashish who escaped unscathed as the driver took control of the wheel and managed to bring the vehicle to a steady halt at the right time. Although the shoot had to be stalled for a couple of hours so that both could relax a bit and resume.

Talking about the horrifying experience that left everyone in shock Ashish shared, “It was a very intense accident sequence that took almost 5 days to complete. Although such scenes are carried out under expert supervision there are times when things get out of control. I’ve never experienced something like that and honestly was extremely scared. The incident happened in a fraction of second, but thankfully no one was hurt. Times like these make us realize how important it is to be under the protecting power of the almighty by praying and believing.”

The upcoming story has a huge surprise for not just the viewers but also for Dadi Jia (Neela Mulherkar) when she finds out that Megastar and Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan is coming to Sipri for a shoot.

Handling the important task of the security for Big B will be Nanhe (Sudhir Nema). When he breaks this news to the family, everyone are left in an excitement, but the most excited one is Dadi who has been waiting all her life for this day, to meet her heartthrob – The Shahenshah of Bollywood. Deepshika dons a Khaleesi inspired to look for her character in &TV’s Main Bhi Ardhangini

Shedding the royal and vibrant traditional attire that once defined Nilambari’s strength and power in &TV’s Main Bhi Ardhangini,Deepshikha Nagpal is all set to essay a new powerful character after the show moves into a supernatural narrative. The royal, smart yet sly Nilambari will now be the powerful and overambitious Mahamaya, an evil woman who has inhibited supernatural powers from Chitra (Anjali Priya) and is now out to control the entire world with these powers.

With a keen interest in styling and designing and taking inspiration from Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, Deepshika has styled her look in all-black sultry attire to bring alive her character. Talking about it, Deepshika said “Although Khaleesi has quite a westernized look to her character, I decided to give a slight indo-western appeal to my look. Considering Mahamaya has a dark and evil nature, I felt black would best represent this side keeping in mind the glamour quotient of the character. The accessories were handpicked to match the shades of the dress and although I am not a fan of dark nail colours, I decided to wear blue to match the personality of my character. My interest in styling and designing came about after assisting in Nilambari’s looks and thus decided to take up this character as a challenge.”

Where once Nilambari depicted grace and elegance in her appearance, Mahamaya brings forth power and control in her attitude. Deepshikha’s new character makes a rather sizzling entry into the show. Delivering a carefree extempore performance, the actress made her entry to the popular sizzling track, Dilbar Dilbar that was choreographed by the actress herself. Speaking about the same, Deepshikha said, “Despite shooting this sequence at 3 am in the night after a long working day, I was high on energy and quite excited to shoot this sequence. It was something different and interesting that had come my way in this show. I didn’t want the performance to look choreographed or restricted to certain movements. Mahamaya is one to control and that had to be represented in her stance and style. I took inspiration from Ranveer Singh’s performance in Binte Dil to depict the same flow and movement in my dance. I personally love this track a lot and performing on it, in a style comfortable to me was an exciting experience.”
