चंडीगढ़ यूनिवर्सिटी, यूपी की बिज़नेस और कॉमर्स फैकल्टी ने 2030 में शिक्षा के द्वारा भारत में होने वाले परिवर्तन व देश को सात ट्रिलियन डॉलर इकोनॉमी बनाने के लक्ष्य को लेकर एक पैनल चर्चा का आयोजन किया जिसमें इंडस्ट्री लीडर्स, शिक्षाविद समेत एक्सपर्ट पैनलिस्ट ने भाग लिया। इस दौरन दो सत्रों में शिक्षा में बदलाव और इकॉनॉमी का फ्यूचर व सात ट्रिलियन डॉलर इकॉनॉमी का रोडमैप जैसे विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। इस अवसर पर भारत में एआई का प्रभाव आने वाले वर्षों में कैसे युवाओं के लिए रोजगार के नए अवसर पैदा करेगा इस पर भी मंथन किया गया। वक्ताओं ने बताया की आने वाले पाँच वर्षों में एआई आधारित नौकरियों में 40 प्रतिशत तक वृद्धि होने की संभावना है। दरअसल इंडिया स्किल्स रिपोर्ट 2024 के अनुसार, भारत में एआई इंडस्ट्री का आकार वर्ष 2025 के अंत तक 28.8 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर तक पहुँच सकता है। वहीं, सर्विसनाउ और पियर्सन की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, वर्ष 2028 तक एआई से भारत में 28 लाख नई नौकरियाँ उत्पन्न होने की उम्मीद है। वहीं उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा शुरू किए गए यूपी एआई सिटी प्रोजेक्ट के अंतर्गत अगले पाँच वर्षों में 50,000 प्रत्यक्ष और अप्रत्यक्ष रोजगार सृजित किए जाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। जो भारत में एआई के उज्जवल भविष्य को दर्शाता है।

स्टैनफोर्ड एआई इंडेक्स 2024 की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत एआई स्किल पेनिट्रेशन में पूरे विश्व में पहले स्थान पर है और 2016 से अब तक इस क्षेत्र में 263 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि भी दर्ज की गई है। इसके अतिरिक्त, भारत अब दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम भी बन चुका है, जहाँ 1.57 लाख स्टार्टअप्स के माध्यम से अब तक 16 लाख से अधिक नौकरियाँ उत्पन्न हुई हैं। यह सभी आँकड़े दर्शाते हैं कि भारत एआई स्किल्स, इनोवेशन और एंटरप्रेन्योरशिप के क्षेत्र में एक वैश्विक शक्ति बनकर उभर रहा है।

स्पीकर्स ने फाइनेंस और कॉमर्स सेक्टर में एआई की भूमिका पर बोलते हुए कहा की, कैसे एआई की मदद से डेटा एनालिसिस, कस्टमर केयर,  धोखाधड़ी की पहचान और निवेश सलाह जैसे कार्य पहले से कहीं अधिक तेज़, सटीक और सुरक्षित हो गए हैं। एआई आधारित चैटबॉट्स और ऑटोमेटेड टूल्स न केवल ग्राहक अनुभव को बेहतर बना रहे हैं, बल्कि जोखिम प्रबंधन और क्रेडिट स्कोरिंग जैसे महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों को भी अधिक प्रभावी बना रहे हैं। इससे बैंकिंग और वित्तीय सेवाएँ और भी पारदर्शी और कुशल हो रही हैं।

स्पीकर्स ने बताया की डिजिटल युग में साइबर फ्रॉड एक गंभीर चुनौती बन चुका है और इस दिशा में एआई एक प्रभावी हथियार साबित हो रहा है। एआई आधारित सिस्टम संदिग्ध लेन देन को रियल टाइम में पहचान सकते हैं। इस प्रकार, एआई तकनीक न केवल आर्थिक और शैक्षणिक विकास में बल्कि साइबर सुरक्षा के क्षेत्र में भी अहम भूमिका निभा रही है। इस अवसर पर बतौर मुख्य अतिथि लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी की प्रो वाइस चांसलर प्रो. मनुका खन्ना व विशिष्ट अतिथि के तौर पर पूर्व वाइस चांसलर, बीबीआरएयू, लखनऊ प्रो. नील मणि वर्मा, व अम्बरीश श्रीवास्तव सीनियर कंसल्टेंट, टीसीएस, लखनऊ मौजूद रहे।

इस दौरान एक्सपर्ट्स ने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया की यदि शिक्षा को इनोवेशन, इंडस्ट्री की आवश्यकताओं और डिजिटल इंडिया की सोच के अनुरूप ढाला जाए, तो न केवल युवाओं को वैश्विक स्तर पर प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाया जा सकता है, बल्कि भारत को आर्थिक रूप से आत्मनिर्भर एवं समृद्ध राष्ट्र बनाने के लक्ष्य को भी प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। चर्चा में इस बात पर भी बल दिया गया कि शिक्षा नीतियों में दीर्घकालिक सोच और समावेशी दृष्टिकोण अनिवार्य है, ताकि हर वर्ग को आर्थिक विकास की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ा जा सके।

वहीं दूसरे सत्र में "भारत को सात ट्रिलियन डॉलर इकॉनॉमी बनाने का रोडमैप", जिसमें भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को अगले स्तर तक पहुँचाने के लिए आवश्यक कदमों पर चर्चा की गई। इस चर्चा का संचालन प्रोफेसर आशुतोष बाजपेयी ने किया, जो चंडीगढ़ यूनिवर्सिटी, यूपी में बिज़नेस और कॉमर्स फैकल्टी से हैं। इस सत्र में सभी ने भारत की आर्थिक प्रगति में शिक्षा, नीति और निवेश की भूमिका पर महत्वपूर्ण विचार साझा किए।

Partners with communities, corporate partners to create awareness for oral cancer screening

Navi Mumbai, 30 May 2025: Tobacco use is no longer a personal habit—it’s a national health crisis. India accounts for nearly one-third of global oral cancer cases, with 77,000 new diagnoses and 52,000 deaths annually. The survival rate stands at just 50%, significantly lower than in developed countries (link). This alarming trend is compounded by rising tobacco consumption across both urban and rural India, as highlighted by the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey (2022–23) (Link), which noted increased spending on paan, tobacco, and other intoxicants.

On account of World No Tobacco Day, Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai(AHNM) has launched #IPromise a proactive screening initiative focused on the early detection of oral cancer. The program emphasizes public awareness, routine screening, and targeted intervention particularly for high-risk individuals including tobacco users & alcohol consumers.

As part of this initiative, AHNM has partnered with local community groups & corporate partners to provide support for individuals seeking to overcome tobacco addiction. This collaboration integrates physical health interventions with mental and emotional wellness support.

“Tobacco users are 6 to 7 times more likely to develop oral cancer than non-users. Oral cancer is one of the few cancers that can be detected early through a simple oral examination. Risk factors—such as the combined use of smokeless tobacco, betel nut and alcohol—are especially prevalent in underserved communities with limited access to preventive care. The disease is increasingly affecting individuals aged 31–50, with poor nutrition further exacerbating the risk.

“Our objective is to foster a culture of preventive healthcare. Oral cancer is highly treatable when detected early. We urge everyone over 30, especially tobacco users to undergo screening.” said Dr Dcruz

The #IPromise - Oral Cancer Screening Program, involves a comprehensive visual and tactile oral examination conducted by trained oncologists. It aims to identify early warning signs such as persistent ulcers, red or white patches, lumps, and non-healing sores—many of which are often overlooked.

अरोड़ा ने आगे कहा, “दिल्ली की यह नयी EV नीति सिर्फ एक सरकारी निर्देश नहीं, बल्कि एक जीवन बदलने वाला अवसर है। हमारा कंपनी हजारों ड्राइवरों को इस हरित क्रांति में भागीदार बनने का मौका देता है – उपभोक्ता के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि उद्यमी के रूप में।”

The report has found the steady momentum of 2024 has carried through to 2025, signaling a shift toward more deliberate, performance-led growth in the Asia Pacific hospitality sector.

The most transacted hotel markets during this period were Japan, South Korea and Australia, with Singapore standing out as a key destination for generational wealth investment. India and Southeast Asia are also emerging as key demand engines.

Interestingly, Indians, are emerging as a key growth driver for the Asia Pacific hospitality sector, especially in markets like Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea. With rising disposable incomes and growing appetite for experience-led travel, Indian tourists are becoming a dependable, year-round source of demand in hospitality sector. This shift is helping sustain strong room rates and marks a structural change in regional hospitality dynamics.

Hotel performance across Asia Pacific remained resilient in the first quarter of 2025, supporting ongoing deal activities. Whilst Asia Pacific deal volumes fell 19% in Q1 2025, with yields rising to 5.4% in the first quarter of this year, capital continues to target high-liquidity markets.

Hotel performance remains resilient, with increasing Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR), primarily driven by Average Daily Room Rates (ADR) growth. RevPAR across APAC is up 2.1% year-on-year (year-on-year), a significant improvement compared to the modest 0.4% growth between 2023 and 2024. This uptick is primarily driven by higher occupancy rates, reflecting stronger demand and improving market conditions.

Phuket, Tokyo, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Osaka led the region in ADR rate growth in Q1 driven by strong domestic demand, a surge in international travel, and effective market positioning. These markets exemplify rate-driven performance strategy but also set the benchmark for value-oriented expansion in the region’s hospitality sector. “The next phase of growth will hinge on driving occupancy, operational precision and guest experience, especially as supply remains measured given high construction costs.

“The first quarter has traditionally been a slow period for transactions, and given geo-political uncertainty, it is not unexpected that many adopted a cautious, ‘wait-and-watch’ approach. However, as market conditions stabilise and the imperative to deploy capital intensifies, a pickup in activity is anticipated as the year progresses. Bangalore, India, 28 May 2025: India’s data center (DC) market has entered a transformative phase and has scaled up significantly in recent years. DC capacity has grown over 4X times in the last 6-7 years and stands at 1,263 MW as of April 2025. This growth is driven by the surge in demand for digital & cloud services, increasing adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Internet of Things (IoT), and higher internet penetration, supported by favorable government policies. At the city level, Mumbai continued to account for majority of the DC capacity with 41% share, followed by Chennai & Delhi NCR at 23% & 14% respectively. This rapid expansion in capacity has resulted in over 3X times increase in real estate footprint over the last 6-7 years, across top seven DC markets of the country, taking it to 16 million sq ft as of April 2025.

 

According to the recent Colliers’ report “The digital backbone: Data center growth prospects in India” DC capacity across the top seven cities is expected to cross 4,500 MW by 2030 which in turn is likely to translate into real estate footprint of around 55 million sq ft in the next 5-6 years. This potential growth is supported by established global connectivity through submarine cables, availability of land & power at comparatively lower costs, supportive government policies, and burgeoning demand. Additionally, major DC operators are planning to expand their presence and are committing long-term investments across multiple Tier II/III cities.

On the supply front, India has witnessed 859 MW of capacity addition across the top seven primary DC markets since the beginning of 2020. In terms of geographical spread, 44% of the new supply since 2020 was concentrated in Mumbai. This was followed by Chennai and Delhi NCR which together accounted for 42% of the capacity addition since 2020.

 

In the next 5-6 years too, majority of the primary DC markets are set to witness significant influx of new supply. These Tier I markets are likely to witness 3,000- 3,700 MW of DC capacity additions during 2025-2030, about 4X times compared to the new supply during 2020-2025. While Mumbai will continue to dominate the overall DC market, relatively smaller growth markets such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune are likely to see multifold growth in inventory levels. Hyderabad, specifically, is likely to see significant traction and emerge as a major hub, in addition to cities such as Mumbai, Chennai & Delhi NCR.

DCs exceeding 50 MW to account for nearly two-thirds of the capacity by 2030

The rise in proportion of larger-sized DCs (>20 MW) from 42% during 2020 to 56% as of April 2025, indicates heightened traction in large hyperscale data centers, especially in recent years. About 44% of the new supply since 2020 was in the 21-50 MW category. Within the 21-50 MW category, Mumbai drove about three-fourths of the new supply additions. Interestingly, Chennai accounted for 45% of the new completions during the period in the >50 MW category. Going ahead we estimate, DCs exceeding 50 MW capacity are likely to account for nearly two-thirds of the inventory by 2030.

 

DC industry to see investments worth USD 20-25 billion over the next 5-6 years

The scale-up in Indian DC industry has been accompanied by equally impressive investments in the last 5-6 years. The industry has already seen investments to the tune of USD 14.7 billion since the beginning of 2020. These investments have been largely focused on land acquisition, project construction & development etc. In the next 5-6 years, amidst massive adoption of cloud computation and AI in India, DCs are likely to attract investments to the tune of USD 20-25 billion.

उत्तर अमेरिकेत आणि कॅनडामध्ये वास्तव्यास असणाऱ्या जवळपास साडेपाच लाख मराठी, भारतीयांपर्यंत मराठी चित्रपट पोहचविण्याची धडपड अभिजित घोलप 'नाफा'च्या माध्यमातून करीत आहेत. दर महिन्याला १ मराठी चित्रपट 'उत्तर अमेरिका - कॅनडा'मध्ये २०२४ पासून प्रदर्शित होत आहेत. ‘गुलकंद’, ‘सुजित सुशीला’, ‘संगीत मानापमान’, ‘चिकीचीकी बुबुम्बुम’, ‘पाणी’, ‘गुलाबी’, ‘नवरा माझा नवसाचा २’, ‘अशी ही जमवा जमावी’, ‘स्थळ’, ‘सलतात रेशीम गाठी’ इत्यादी चित्रपट आतापर्यंत अमेरिकेत आणि कॅनडामध्ये नाफाद्वारे रितसर चित्रपटगृहांमध्ये महाराष्ट्रातील प्रदर्शनाच्याच दिवशी तिथे प्रदर्शित झाले असून अमेरिकेत या सर्व चित्रपटांना वाढता प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील मातब्बर निर्मिती व वितरण संस्थांसोबत नाफाने करार केले आहेत.

 

अमेरिकेत हॉलिवूडच्या धर्तीवर मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टी निर्माण करण्याचे उद्दिष्ट ठेवून अभिजित घोलप नाफाची कार्यप्रणाली विकसित करीत असून तेथील अनेक तरुण कलावंत, प्रेक्षक जोडले जात असल्याचे घोलप सांगतात. ते म्हणाले. “‘देऊळ’ या माझ्या चित्रपटाला राष्ट्रीय सुवर्ण-कमळ पुरस्कार मिळाल्यानंतर नॉर्थ अमेरिकेत मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टी स्थापन करावी असा विचार मनात होता. माझ्या या विचाराशी सहमत असलेले ५००हून अधिक सदस्य अल्पावधीतच या कामाशी जोडले गेले. वर्षाअखेरीस दोन लघुपटाची निर्मिती करण्याचं ध्येय ठेवून ‘फिल्म क्लब’च्या तयारीला लागलो. अनेक कलावंत, दिग्दर्शक, नृत्यदिग्दर्शक, गायक, कवी, सिनेमॅटोग्राफर्स, संकलक यांनी फिल्म क्लबमध्ये नोंदणी केली. त्यासाठी दिग्दर्शक उमेश कुलकर्णी यांची कार्यशाळा आयोजित केली. याशिवाय टॉक शोज, डॉ. मोहन आगाशे, दिलीप प्रभावळकर, डॉ. सलील कुलकर्णी, सचिन खेडेकर, समीर चौघुले, अभिजीत देशपांडे यांच्या कार्यशाळा, चर्चासत्रांच्या माध्यमातून कार्यविस्तार होत आहे., विविध क्षेत्रात आघाडी घेतल्यानंतर अमेरिकेतल्या भारतीयांना मनोरंजनक्षेत्रात आपली कला दाखवण्याची संधी मिळणार आहे. गेल्यावर्षीच नाफाने या दिशेने पहिले पाऊल टाकले असून,अमेरिकेत सातासमुद्रापार मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टी उभारणीचं स्वप्न सत्यात उतरण्यास सुरुवात झाली आहे. आपल्या सर्व कलावंत आणि तंत्रज्ञाच्या साथीने लवकरच ते पूर्णत्वास जाईल.”
