The Federation of Associations of Maharashtra (FAM) is set to host the All India Trade Conference on 24th May 2025, at Y. B. Chavan Auditorium, Mumbai, from 2:30 PM onwards, coinciding with FAM’s 47th Foundation Day, celebrated as “Vyapari Ekta Din.” The conference will serve as a national platform for deliberating and advocating MSME and Traders Reforms to boost economic growth, streamline trade practices, and empower grassroots entrepreneurship.

FAM President Shri Jitendra M. Shah will present a comprehensive policy framework targeting key legal, taxation, infrastructure, and trade bottlenecks affecting MSMEs and traders across India.

Key Discussion Points on MSME and Traders Reform:
• MSME Courts: Fast-track benches for 90–180 day resolution of disputes.
• Section 138 Cheque Bounce: Shift to summary trials or fast-track courts.
• Industrial Land Cost: New Industrial Parks with infrastructure and long-term lease models.
• Skill Power: PPP-based skill hubs and mandatory subsidized industry apprenticeships.
• BIS Testing: Rationalized fees, more labs, return of unused samples.
• GST Section 16(2)(c): Amend to protect bona fide buyers from ITC denial.
• GSTIN Cancellations: Stop retrospective cancellations; safeguard ITC based on GSTR-2A data.
• GST Investigations: SOPs for fair, transparent, and time-bound processes.
• Frivolous SCNs: Mandatory verification and cost penalties for revenue overreach.
• Appeal Pre-Deposits: Waiver or review where SCNs are vague or unjustified.
• Adjudication Bias: AI-based SCN reviews or an independent quasi-judicial first-level authority.
• PLI Scheme Inclusion: Tailored Production Linked Incentive schemes for MSMEs.
• FTA Violations: Ensure treaty compliance; restrict customs from bypassing bilateral protocols.

Shri Jitendra Shah noted, “The vision of Vyapari Ekta Din is not only to celebrate unity but to empower every MSME and trader with voice, justice, and viable policy support. It’s time for real reforms.”

The event will witness national participation and is expected to be a landmark step in building consensus for robust, pro-growth trader and MSME policies.
