‘Sunburn Home Festival’ reaches 5 Million Fans in its premiere edition

~ India’s First Virtual Music Festival wows audiences with cutting edge XR Technology ~ 

India, 17 July 2020 – The premiere edition of the ‘Sunburn Home Festival’, a Virtual 2 Day Electronic Dance Music Festival, saw a record global Reach of 5 Million fans online over the weekend of 11^th – 12^th July 2020. The Digital Festival saw the biggest names in the global music industry including Vini Vici, MATTN, Bassjackers and Ummet Ozcan electrify audiences in a first of a kind Virtual XR Mixed Reality environment in the safety of their homes.

India’s first Virtual Mega Music Festival - ‘Sunburn Home Festival’ was a Ticketed Live Stream 2-day weekend event that offered a 360-degree virtual feel of an on-ground Sunburn Festival inclusive of a mega Stage, SFX, vibrant Visuals, LED effects and state-of-the-art AV streamed into the safety and comfort of fans homes. Attendees enjoyed over 12 hours of music with global music icons Vini Vici, MATTN, Bassjackers, Ummet Ozcan, Teri Miko, Siana Catherine, Progressive Brothers, Sartek, Ankytrixx, Arsh, Bullzeye and SEQU3L.

The highlight of this unique Virtual Event was the incorporation of Extended Reality (XR) Technology, which offered a Mixed Reality (MR) environment by combining the Sunburn Festival atmosphere and human-machine interaction to generate a new form of reality for fans. The Main Stage displayed stunning Laser SFX on a Pyramid Style structure that was reminiscent of Pipe Organs in ancient Cathedrals, while the After Dark parties saw a contemporary Cubecal Tunnel stage design. The incredible larger than life set designs, Lighting, AV, Sound, and SFX coupled with Hi-Tech wearables blew away audiences minds as they immersed themselves in a surround surreal Sunburn environment.

The highlight of the Virtual Event is the incorporation of Extended Reality (XR) Technology, which will offer a holistic, Mixed Reality environment by virtually combining the Sunburn Festival environment and human-machine interaction to generate a new form of reality for the guest. XR Technology offers a fusion of ubiquitous sensor networks and shared online virtual worlds through a broad spectrum of hardware and software, including sensory interfaces, applications and infrastructures that enable content creation for Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR). Through the incorporation of this elevated new age XR Technology, Percept will create a new form of Event reality by bringing digital objects into the viewer’s physical world and concurrently transfer physical world objects into the digital world.
