Sterling Reserve Music Project exclusively launches Hindi - Punjabi contemporary love song, “Main Sach Bolda,” by Shaan featuring Mustafa

Mumbai, 21st November 2019: The Sterling Reserve Music Project releases “Main Sach Bolda,” by Shaan featuring debut independent musician, Mustafa, which further builds on the mentor – protégé artist relationship, unique to the platform.
Shaan, who has swept away numerous accolades as the most promising Indian play-back singer and independent musician, mentors Mustafa on his debut song and music video. This romantic song also sees veteran Shaan attempting a Punjabi rap-singing form on the song for the first time ever.
“Main Sach Bolda” is a modern, upbeat and romantic love song. While working on the song, Shaan’s aim was to design a song that would highlight Mustafa’s eclectic potential and contemporary singing style along with his vocal range; the outcome being “Main Sach Bolda.”
The theme of the music video is a bachelor party setting, wherein Mustafa is showcased as Shaan’s brother. It is Mustafa’s bachelor’s party, which is impeded by Mustafa’s fiancée, begetting intense drama between the couple. The overall video highlights making amends in a relationship and making it up to your loved one which is conspicuous from the chorus of the song “Mann Ja Mann Ja, Main Sach Bolda.”
Speaking about the song, Shaan said, “I'm really glad to be a part of the Sterling Reserve Music Project and mentoring Happydemic artist, Mustafa, on ‘Main Sach Bolda.’ This is Mustafa’s debut song and video. He has a very unique contemporary pop voice and I’m glad this song has been able to bring that out. This was also a great opportunity for me to experiment with a contemporary dance genre and rap style in Punjabi, which is a first for me on a song.”
Speaking about the song, Mustafa said, “Working on the song “Main Sach Bolda” has been an amazing experience! The song has a gen-next vibe. It is very peppy and groovy. My hard work and perseverance has made my dream come true. It wouldn't have been possible without the continuous support and guidance of Shaan and the entire Happydemic team. Special thanks to Universal Music and Sterling Reserve Music Project for this fantastic platform!”
Speaking about the release, Devraj Sanyal, Managing Director and CEO of Universal Music & EMI Music, India & South Asia said, “The Sterling Reserve Music Project is growing from strength to strength, where we’re breaking some fresh independent talent each month. Once every few songs we have the honour of having a mainstream artist mentor and work with their mentee, to create a track to add some much needed gravitas to our music. This time my dear old friend and legend, Shaan, decided to come on board to launch his protégé, Mustafa, and the result is the magical, “Main Sach Bolda.” Shaan has helped curate the track and Mustafa has done his mentor proud by delivering, what I already consider, a hit dance number for the celebratory months. I’m proud of the project and what it means to so many independent musicians in our region. At the Sterling Reserve Music Project we enable our new artists to chase their next.”
Sharing his thoughts, Bikram Basu, Chief Operating Officer, Allied Blenders & Distillers said,
“It brings us immense pleasure to have one of the most respected artists in the industry, Shaan, on board the Sterling Reserve Music Project. The Sterling Reserve Music Project once again explores the mentor – mentee relationship through Shaan and Mustafa. The response we’re getting on the platform is genuinely overwhelming and we’re really proud of all the support we are garnering from musicians across the nation.”

Diplo’s Major Lazer ropes in Badshah for “Que Calor,” official remix feat. J Balvin

India, 16th November 2019- When three hitmakers become one, the result is destined for world domination. Such is the case with Major Lazer and Colombian reggaeton icon J. Balvin, who teamed up with Dominican don El Alfa for the last hit of summer “Que Calor” which released on September 9th. The Latin-infused production featuring Diplo in a cow print suit and cowboy hat, and fiery art direction throughout, loosens up the dancefloor with titillating flute trills, body-banging beats and fluid rhythms. Paired with spitfire guest verses from J Balvin and El Alfa, “Que Calor” has earned the top spot as a song with global appeal. Just two weeks after its release, “Que Calor” jumped 19-1 on Latin Digital Song Sales, marking the first No. 1 for both Major Lazer and El Alfa and the sixth for Balvin.
The trio who are lapping up audience goodwill and radio wave dominion with this steamy club banger ever since its’ initial release now have an implausible surprise for Indian fans! India’s music mogul and numero uno rapper Badshah, who recently collaborated with international music group Now United, has been roped in from the sub-continent exclusively for the official remix of the single which drops tomorrow on all platforms. This collaboration marks a massive global revolution bringing together the best of the Latin, American and Indian music industry on one single platform!
The track that samples the instantly recognizable cumbia classic "Curara," by Toto La Momposina, features catchy lyrics including words like “yesca,” which is Mexican slang for marijuana and “saoco,” which is Puerto Rican slang for a lot of flavour and now “laundon” and “bijli” which is Indian slang for boys and electricity.
Directed by VMA and BET Award winner Colin Tilley (Kendrick Lamar, Future, Nicki Minaj) and choreographed by fellow VMA winner Calvit Hodge, the original video stars Major Lazer’s Diplo and Ape Drums as well as Balvin and El Alfa alongside two of the band’s legendary Lazer Gyals, Sara Bivens and Helen Gedlu. Major Lazer recently revealed a dance compilation video featuring Lil Pump and America's Got Talent's Kid The Wiz as well as a fan talent dance integration with a wide swath of talented dancers —including famous YouTuber Lele Pons
Speaking further on the collaboration Major Lazer states, "We just dropped an official remix of Que Calor with Badshah, who brings serious heat. India holds a special place in our hearts & our Indian fans have given so much love back to us to our songs, so it was time for us to give something special to them. India, enjoy this Badshah Remix!"
Elaborating further Badshah adds, “It is a huge pleasure for me to be on the Que Calor India Remix. I loved the track the moment I heard it. Major Lazer are dance music legends, I have worked with them in the past and I truly believe they have a major role in shaping the current global sound. J Balvin is a rockstar whom I really look up to and I think El Alfa has done an extraordinary job. It gives me honour and pleasure to be collaborating with these stars and bring Que Calor to India. Prepare to be blown away.”
“Que Calor” is the third new track from Diplo and co. since the release of their Africa Is The Future EP earlier this year; other recent songs include “Can’t Take It From Me” (ft. Skip Marley) and “Make It Hot” (ft. Anitta), both of which have received their own remixes. Diplo also remixed “Old Town Road,” and released an album with Sia and Labrinth as LSD this past April. His last full-length project with Major Lazer was 2015’s Peace Is the Mission.
As for the impossibly prolific J Balvin, his collaborative album with Bad Bunny came out back in June; they did “QUE PRETENDES” together at this year’s VMAs, and put out a video for “CUIDAO POR AHÍ.” J Balvin was also featured on Rosalía’s excellent “Con Altura.”
BADSHAH VERSE
Sar se lekey paaon tak Saari ki saari savage
Saadhe paanch foot ka nahi dekha aisa package
Insurance check karlo club ka hone waala hai damage
Iss body ke saath dilli kaise karti ho manage
Baby lightly na lo, security lekey chala karo
Expression control karo, laundon ka kuch toh bhala karo
Ye marney ko taiyaar hain, tu bijli ki nangi taar hai
Kamar hilaati hai tou kaise mere samajh ke baahar hai

“Being a single mother is hard,” says Deepshikha Nagpal

Popular Bollywood and television actress, Deepshikha Nagpal, who is currently seen essaying the character of Nilambari in &TV’s Main Bhi Ardhanginihas been shooting away from her Mumbai home in Jaipur for over 4 months. In an attempt to keep abreast with the lives of her two kids, she has been making constant trips to Mumbai to spend as much free time she can with her daughter and son who are currently at the age of 18 and 13 respectively. Be it birthdays or any special occasions of theirs, erratic shoot schedules have kept the actress heavily occupied with shoots.
Speaking about the difficulties she faces being away from home, Deepshikha said, “As much as I love shooting for Main Bhi Ardhangini, it’s always a heart-breaking moment to leave my kids alone in Mumbai and come to Jaipur. It’s the first time I have been staying away from them for work and the distance is much more difficult that I thought it to be. Whenever I get time off, I take the first flight back to Mumbai so that I don’t lose even a minute to spend time with them. The constant early morning, 5:00 am flights and late-night returns to Jaipur has taken a toll over my health. At times I have travelled just for a day to Mumbai and returned the very same night, exhausted but content at seeing that my kids are doing great. While it can get extremely tiring and hectic, I don’t mind doing it for them because that’s the kind of mother I have been and that’s what has made them confide and share an extremely close bond with me.”
Adding further, she said, “I have never faced any kind of struggles with work, but more emotional ones arising from motherhood. I used to be occupied with shoots even when they were young but despite that, I ensured to take out time to raise them well and never let them feel that I am away. Being a single mother is hard, especially when you cannot be a part of their growing years much and miss out on being there for so many activities of their lives. Perhaps seeing your kids grow itself is an emotional struggle that every mother faces.”
On asking her what gets her through each day, the actress said, “I talk to my kids regularly, sometimes 5 times in a day and although I may be away, I am aware of all the ups and downs in their life. I believe the bond that I share with my son and daughter has become much stronger in the past few months and I believe it’s somewhere for their betterment tooI never stopped being a best friend to my kids, however occupied I got with work. We still plan exciting outings and vacations where we decide to enjoy our time together and cut ourselves off from the daily stress.  We all have certain commitments to make in life and my kids really understand and support me well in that. For a mother, that’s all that matters.”
To make up for all the lost time with her kids, Deepshikha recently went on an extravagant trip to Austria with her son and daughter. While she continues to keep her optimism high, her character Nilambari is up to another evil plan to cause trouble in Madhav (Avinash Sachdev) and Vaidehi’s (Aditi Rawat) life.
Keep watching Main Bhi Ardhangini every Monday to Friday at 9:00pm only on &TV
