Skin care tips for monsoon season by Dr. Blossom Kochhar

Rain Rain Come Again!
Monsoon is all about garam chai and crispy pakodas. We love to get drenched in the rain and enjoy the drops of heaven on our skin. At this time, we do not actually think on how important it is to give good care of the skin during the rain.
The season tends to infect the air, atmosphere and water resources that are the basic necessities of our life. Skin and hair also cannot be left unprotected. Here are some helpful monsoon regimes.
Rinse the Dirt Away
  • It is important to keep your skin clean and dirt-free. Haven’t you tried Aroma Magic Grapefruit Facewash and Aroma Magic White Tea & Chamomile Facewash? They are the perfect partners for monsoon skin. Not only do they clean your skin but keep the skin hydrated and nourished.
Exfoliate for the skin to Breathe
  • Exfoliation is the process to remove the dead cells from the skin and open blocked pores. This helps the skin to breathe and live longer. Aroma Magic Coffee Bean Scrub exfoliates, deep cleanses and improves circulation. It helps the skin look fresh and young.
Don’t Let the Clouds Fool You
  • So what if the sun is not shining and it is cloudy outside? It is always important to wear sunscreen as the harmful rays of the sun can penetrate through the clouds. Get Aroma Magic Aloe Vera Sunscreen Gel SPF 20. The gel formula creates a physical barrier between you and the sun. Aloe Vera extracts hydrate, purifies and provides smart sun protection.
It’s Time to Detoxify the Skin
  • Detoxification is a very important part of the monsoon regime. You can’t go wrong when you use Aroma Magic Detoxifying Mineral Pack. The natural combination of minerals and essential oils helps in absorbing impurities and repairing tired skin.
Hair Fall Tips
  • Every girl encounters severe hair fall issues when it starts to rain. Aroma Magic has introduced Hair Revitalising Serum to be the perfect hair care partner for the monsoons. It helps to reduce hairfall, strengthen hair roots, increase blood circulation and stimulate hair follicle formulation.
Make Your Feet Happy
  • It feels amazing when you get drenched in the rain. It is this time of water, mud, bacteria, fungus and infections too. It is very important to always keep your feet clean. One of the most important feet care tips is to dip your feet with mild soap and lukewarm water with 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil.  This helps to remove the dirt and keep your feet clean. Try to wear covered waterproof shoes to keep your feet free from dirt and infection.

Skin care tips for summer season by Dr. Blossom Kochhar

Summer is not an easy time for your skin. Summer is the time you want to go out and enjoy the sun with your dear ones. Summer means lots of out-of-doors time. It is a beautiful time to spend some quality time with your family. In the warm summers, your skin deserves special attention as exposure to sunlight damages the skin in many ways making it dull, dry, and tanned.
Some of the common skin complaints raised during the summer are acne, oily skin, sun tan, sunburn and heat rashes, enlarged pores, under eye dryness. Hence, it is very important to take extra care of your skin during the summer season.
How can one take care of one's skin at home?
Aloe Vera - After a long day in scorching heat, applying aloe vera gel on your skin helps to soothe and cool off your skin. It acts as an antioxidant and protects your skin from damage and other skin related problems. Add this in your daily night regimen for better results.
Keep your skin hydrated - Make sure you drink 10-12 glasses of water every day to keep your body and skin hydrated. Water helps in achieving that permanent glow, removes toxins and enhances well-being. Apart from this, try and keep an overnight pack on your skin. For example, the hydrated seaweed gel helps in leaving your skin with the much-needed hydration.
Exfoliate - Exfoliating your skin in order to keep it rejuvenated all the time is as important as keeping your skin hydrated. It helps removing dead cells, increasing blood circulation, which in turn helps achieving glowing skin. You can use exfoliation gels or face scrubs for the same. You can make one at home, take 1 teaspoon of rice flour, add 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, pinch of salt and 2 teaspoon yoghurt. Mix this into a paste & apply it for 5 mins and then scrub the dead skin off.
Tomato puree - It works gently on skin and is beneficial in removing tan from the skin. Besides replenishing the skin with oils, it evens the skin tone, and helps in making the dry skin bright and glowing. It can also be applied to hair for that extra shine and can protect hair from sun damage.
Skin Lightening Recipe
Take a lime and cut it into two. Rub one half on the face gently. Squeeze the other half in a cup of water, add a little bit of rock salt and drink it. Do it for 6-8 weeks regularly and observe the remarkable improvement. This lightens and clears the skin.
Remove Tan

Mix one tablespoon oatmeal powdered with little yogurt to make a paste. Add the juice of cucumber or grapes into the paste. Massage this pack into the tanned areas and leave for 30 minutes. Rinse off and apply moisturiser mixed with 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil.
Cucumber Overnight Brightness Pack
Things required to make the pack:
 Cucumber
 Rosewater
 Glycerine
·         Firstly, take out the cucumber juice by using a mixer. Now add rosewater and glycerine in equal quantities to the cucumber juice. Make sure that the paste should neither be thin nor too thick.
·         Now apply it over your face at night before going to sleep.
·         In the morning, wash your face with clean water and pat dry. After some days you will see amazing change in the complexion of your skin.

Steps to conceal dark circles through Make-up by Dr. Blossom Kochhar, Founder & Chairperson of the Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies institutionalized

Step 1 - Apply an orange color concealer under and over the eye lids. Since the tissues around the eyes are moving, the dark circles are also not just under the eyes but also run on the top lid. It is important to cover both the lower under eye and top lid with an orange concealer with the help of your fingertips/a sponge/a small-flat brush. Make-Up Designory's Blue Corrector concealer has been used in the images attached.
Step 2 - Cover the orange concealer with a foundation. Apply foundation with a foundation brush/sponge. It is recommended to use a foundation that matches the skin tone than to use a lighter/darker shade. Lighter/darker foundations tend to make the skin around the eyes look grey. Mac's Studio Fix Foundation in NC42 is used in the image attached.
Step 3 - Set the concealer and foundation with a loose powder to prevent the product from creasing or forming lines under the eyes. Make-Up Designory's Loose Powder in Butter Cream is used to set the base.
Step 4 - Complete the look by applying appropriate/suitable make-up.
To get rid of dark circles through homemade recipe
Take a raw potato. Grate and extract the juice out of it. Soak a cotton ball into it and apply to your dark circles. Keep it for 20 minutes then rinse it out.
Or
Soak a cotton ball into a warm tea without milk and dab around your dark circles.
Or
