A special track this monsoon that promises to rule airwaves and find its way to every celebration this wedding season, ‘Gallan Goriyan’, with its up-tempo music and peppy beats will have audiences off their feet and grooving to the song.
It is also the first out-and-out dance song that Mrunal Thakur has performed. Talking about her experience of filming ‘Gallan Goriyan’ she says, “This was the first time I was doing a typical naach-gaana song and I am glad to have had this experience although I was quite nervous. Choreographer Adil and Alisha really helped me to open up. It helped that I had rehearsed for about two weeks. Being new to the song and dance routine, John would boost my confidence. I had great fun being part of a team that was so organized, sorted and fun to work with.”
With numerous record-breaking hits to her credit, Dhvani Bhanushali has quickly emerged the most successful pop sensation in the country. With ‘Gallan Goriyan’ she teams up with UK based prominent singer-composer Taz for the very first time. This makes for an interesting collaboration, especially since both artists have been pioneers and trendsetters of their generations.
Says popstar Dhvani Bhanushali, "I've been extremely lucky to have the constant love and support of my fans. This is my first song with Taz and I hope audiences enjoy 'Gallan Goriyan' just as much."
Adds singer-composer Taz, “I recorded my part in the UK and Dhvani recorded her part in India. I guess now that’s how the world is working. By God’s grace, the song has turned out absolutely beautiful and magical. I am excited to see how my fans worldwide react to this song. It’s got a great energy and vibe to it.”
Says director Adil Shaikh, “Mrunal Thakur will surprise you with her dance moves. Gallan Goriyan promises to be one helluva fun song, a family dance entertainer we shot in Mumbai some time ago. Once the lockdown is over and things normalise, I won’t be surprised if this becomes the go-to song to be played at weddings.”
Talking about the song, T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar says, “When I first heard ‘Gallan Goriyan’ I knew it would be an instant hit with audiences. This is an out-and-out fun dance song by Dhvani Bhanushali and Taz who understand the kind of music Gen-X audiences relate to. ‘Gallan Goriyan’ has a catchy tune and great lyrics. John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur bring the song to life. Their chemistry in ‘Gallan Goriyan’ is a huge pull and one of the song’s biggest highlights.”
Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series presents ‘Gallan Goriyan’. With vocals by Dhvani Bhanushali and Taz, lyrics by Taz and Kumaar, the peppy song is composed by Taz. Featuring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur, the video of ‘Gallan Goriyan’ is directed by Adil Shaikh. The song is out now on T-Series ‘YouTube channel.

Bhushan Kumar's T-Series presents Govind Bolo!

Jubin Nautiyal puts a soulful yet modern spin on T-Series' Govind Bolo!
May 20th, 2020, Mumbai: T-Series has consistently been bringing audiences the best in music, even during these troubled COVID-19 times. The music label now presents 'Govind Bolo', in Jubin Nautiyal's soulful voice, as he puts a contemporary sound to this ode to Lord Krishna.
Jubin recently celebrated the massive success of Kabir Singh's ‘Tujhe Kitna Chahein Aur Hum’ and ‘Tum Hi Aana from Marjaavaan.’ He also collaborated with the country's biggest music label on 'Meri Maa', a special song dedicated to mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day.  Jubin Nautiyal now gives us a modern yet soulful rendition of ‘Govind Bolo,’ a paean to Lord Krishna. Jubin has earlier done a devotional offering titled ‘Ganesha’ as praise to the Elephant God.
Spreading the message of positivity and hope, 'Govind Bolo' is composed by Raaj Aashoo, with lyrics by Pankaj Narayan and is produced, mixed and mastered by Aditya Dev. While the song has been in the making for a while, the finishing touches were added during the lockdown period. There couldn’t have been a better time for the song’s release, as it’s natural to turn to a higher force in challenging times such as the current global pandemic.
Says T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar, "Jubin Nautiyal’s signature as an artist is that he brings a lot of feeling and soul to his music. Whether it's a sad song or a romantic one, most of the songs that Jubin has sung have an ethereal quality to them. That’s what made ‘Govind Bolo’ the perfect song for him. This song has a lot of light and vibrance and we wanted to give audiences something uplifting and encouraging during these difficult times.”
Talking about what makes this song special Jubin Nautiyal says, “When Raaj Aashoo sent me the song, I could hear myself sing it and I knew a song like this was the need of the hour. People were more inclined and connected -- devotionally and emotionally -- before the digital boom took place. As time progressed, a lot of the authenticity of Indian culture, devotion and emotions was lost. The lockdown is giving us time as a country, to decide where we want to go from here and devotional music reminds us of who we are, takes us back to our roots and spreads light.”
He adds, “With devotional music, cracking the right soul is important as your audience shouldn’t lose connect with the song even for a second. Lord Krishna has been my favourite. The point where darkness and light meet is where Lord Krishna lives and he shows us the right path.”
Bhushan Kumar's T-Series presents ‘Govind Bolo.’ Sung by Jubin Nautiyal and composed by Raaj Aashoo, the song has been produced, mixed and mastered by Aditya Dev, with lyrics by Pankaj Narayan. 'Govind Bolo' is out now on the T-Series YouTube channel.

Aparshakti Khurana debuts as singer-composer-lyricist in T-Series produced single Kudiye Ni

Aparshakti Khurana, who you have so far known as an actor debuts as a singer-composer and lyricist with his maiden single Kudiye Ni, which released today. Interestingly, in a first once again, the video of  Kudiye Ni has been directed by his sister-in-law Tahira Kashyap Khurrana and is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.
You will be surprised to know that Kudiye Ni was composed and written in exactly five minutes when Aparshakti was shooting for Dangal in Delhi four years ago. The directorial debut of Tahira is a simple song where the boy and girl meet at a common friend’s wedding in Chandigarh and indulge in light banter. “You could even call it a musical love conversation between the two,” quips,  Aparshakti. Besides Aparshakti the song features actor Sargun Mehta in the video.
Further talking about his debut single, Aparshakti says, “I took time to bring this song to the listeners/viewers. I was looking for the right window, the right person to direct it and the right platform and the label to release the song, the right co-actor to feature in it and the right person to render female vocals for it. Who better than versatile singer and family friend Neeti Mohan? That’s why it took four years. I believe everything happens at the right time. I did not want to come out with this single in a hurry for the heck of it.”
Director Tahira points out, “Aparshakti came to me with the song and said we have to shoot this video in the next 10 days and I was like okay, let’s do it. Suddenly, we were told the shoot has been preponed by 4-5 days. Here, I was thinking this is my debut effort and am going to do a full on prep but next thing we know we were rolling. It was complete madness but all of us had fun putting together the video.”
Strangely, although Sargun was finalised to feature in the video months ago, the actors had to wait for three months to shoot it because they just couldn’t lock a date when both of them were free on the same day. Laughing at the memory, Sargun says, “Now also if someone asks for my dates, I can only give them dates in September not before that but yes I enjoyed working in Kudiye Ni because of the raw vibe and experimental streak that Tahira brought with her. It is a very hummable song and people who often caught me humming it would ask me what is that song?”
Producer Bhushan Kumar adds: Aparshakti’s talent has been revelatory. He is multi-talented just like his brother Ayushmann Khurrana. In Kudiye Ni, he impresses with the simplicity in which he has penned the small town nok-jhok between a boy and a girl. In a traditional set-up, he infuses a contemporary sensibility through the lyrics and the singing. Neeti Mohan matches the tempo in this peppy number through her playful singing.”
