Tech Mahindra Q1’21 PAT Up 20.9%


Mumbai - July 27th, 2020: Tech Mahindra Ltd., a specialist in digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services today announced the audited consolidated financial results for its first quarter ended June 30, 2020.
Financial highlights for the quarter (₹)
·         Revenue at ₹ 9,106 crore; down 4.0% QoQ, up 5.2% YoY
·         EBITDA at ₹ 1,301 crore; down 3.5% QoQ;
o    Margins at 14.3%; up 10bps QoQ
·         Profit after tax (PAT) at ₹ 972 crore; up 20.9% QoQ
·         Earnings per share (EPS) was at ₹ 11.07

Financial highlights for the quarter (USD)
  • Revenue at USD 1,207.5 mn; down 6.7% QoQ, down 3.2% YoY
    • Revenue degrowth at 6.3% QoQ and 1.8% YoY in constant currency terms
  • EBITDA at USD 172.4 mn; down 5.7% QoQ
  • Consolidated PAT at USD 128.8 mn, up 18.2% QoQ;
·         Free cash flow at $ 316.7 mn, conversion to PAT at 245.9%

Tech Mahindra Designs First-of-Its-Kind Digital Transformation Course Approved by All India Council of Technical Education







Addresses industry-academia skill-gap in new-age technologies by rolling out a two year post graduate programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College
Mumbai- July 15, 2020: Tech Mahindra Ltd., a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and solutions, has designed a first-of-its-kind digital transformation course approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Tech Mahindra has partnered with Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JNEC), under Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) University, to roll out a two year post graduate programme in the academic year 2021. The custom curated curriculum is aimed at addressing the industry-academia skill-gap in new-age technologies including digitalisation, mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning among others.
Tech Mahindra’s research and development arm, Makers Lab will be working closely with JNEC on reviewing the format of the course and helping them to create an environment of learning and innovation. As part of this course, students will be trained to work with dynamic, diverse, and agile teams to find solutions that will benefit people, society, and industry. This interdisciplinary course is aimed at providing holistic training to the students by imparting skills in competencies around digital transformation and technologies and cultivating an environment of entrepreneurship and design-led thinking.

Tech Mahindra Facilitates Return of Over 210 Employees and their Dependents from the US








A special chartered flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport took off on 13th July to bring Tech Mahindra employees back to their homes
Mumbai – July 13th, 2020: Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and solutions, has facilitated return of over 210 employees and their dependents who were stranded in the United States due to COVID-19 induced lockdown. A special chartered flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport took off on 13th July to bring Tech Mahindra employees back to their homes, and will land in Hyderabad, India on 14th July.

Tech Mahindra to Launch Blockchain based Contracts and Digital Rights Management Platform for Global Media and Entertainment Industry







Platform to enable production houses and content creators to track revenue, royalty payments, manage rights and address content piracy by leveraging IBM blockchain
Mumbai – July 08, 2020: Tech Mahindra Ltd., a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting and business reengineering services and solutions, today announced the launch of a new digital platform, branded as ‘Blockchain based Contracts and Rights Management System’ (bCRMS) for the global media and entertainment industryThe platform is designed to enable production houses and content creators to track revenue, royalty payments, manage rights and address content piracy by leveraging IBM blockchain.
Tech Mahindra’s new bCRMS platform is built on open source Hyperledger Fabric protocol and utilizes techniques like content hashing and forensic watermarking to track and trace content. The technology is industry agnostic and thereby it could also be used across other industries like trade, finance and healthcare that have a requirement for intellectual property and secured digital content. Built on IBM Blockchain, the platform will restrict unauthorized access and redistribution of digital content, mitigate content piracy and manage royalty payments. The platform is designed to be scalable and empowers artists, fulfilment partners and distributors with a clear, automated system for accessing and managing payments.
