Veer Foundation receives appreciation from Governor of Maharashtra for its efforts in sanitisation, feeding migrants offering free oxygen cylinders and for coming forward to set up Covid Care Centre



Sanitised over 20,000 housing societies, hospitals, BMC Ambulances, public transport vehicles and offices in Mumbai
Served food to migrant workers, Senior Citizens and differently-abled and had been relentlessly working for the last 70 days to support the containment of Covid-19
The foundation has started an oxygen centre and provide rent-free oxygen cylinders to the citizens
Mumbai, 16th June, 2020:  Veer Foundation, Ghatkopar based Foundation has received appreciation from Governor of Maharashtra on 12 June 2020 for serving food to migrant workers, senior citizens and differently abled and sanitising more than 20,000 societies, Hospitals, BMC Ambulances, public transportation vehicles and offices since 4th April, 2020 to till date.
Some of the large societies sanitised include CISF UNIT, MBPT Mumbai, Central Government employees residents welfare association Antop Hill, Mumbai, which is Asia's largest housing colony to provide housing to employees and staff of any central government body/organization which is been regularly sanitized.
The entire sanitation drive include chemical used and the machines provided free of cost by Veer Foundation.
Besides Veer Foundation has also provided food and masks to senior citizens, migrant workers, and neighbouring BMC Hospitals and quarantine centres. 
The foundation has come forward to provide oxygen centre and provide assistance to the local corporation for a set-up of Covid-19 care centre, which is the primary need for the rising cases of Covid-19 and shortage of space in hospitals.
Commenting on the Foundation’s efforts in containing Covid-19, Mr. Nitin Sanghvi, Trustee said, “We are happy to receive appreciation from Governor of Maharashtra, this gives us strength and motivation to serve the society during this pandemic.”

Veer Foundation along with Vardhaman Sanskaar Dham saved sheep going for slaughter house during difficult times of Covid-19


Mumbai, May 28, 2020: After driving sanitisation in 18,000 housing societies, hospitals, BMC ambulances, offices and public transport vehicles and providing food to senior citizens, differently-abled and the migrant workers who had been badly affected during the lockdown, Veer Foundation, Ghatkopar based foundation along with Vardhaman Sanskaar Dham saved sheep going for slaughter house, because of inability to feed them during the difficult times of Covid-19.
The rescued sheep have been sent to Bhumi Jeevdaya Samvardhan Trust, which has a facility at Navi Mumbai, which is into rescue of birds and animals and also takes care of them by providing food and medical assistance.
Nitin Sanghavi, Trustee, Veer Foundation said, “Animals are part of our eco-system and they are equally affected by lockdown imposed due to Covid-19. Realising this, we have rescued the sheep which were going to slaughter house and has donated feed for them.”
“It is imperative that citizens are educated about the need to ensure animals and birds do not endure the brunt of the lockdown just because they are voiceless creatures," he further added.

Veer Foundation drives sanitisation and extends helping hand to migrant workers in fight against Covid-19


Sanitised 16,000 housing societies, hospitals, BMC Ambulances, public transport vehicles and offices free of cost
Served food to migrant workers, senior citizens and differently-abled and relentlessly working since April 4 to support the containment of Covid-19
Mumbai, May 22, 2020: The lockdown due to Covid-19 has seen Veer Foundation, Ghatkopar based Foundation leading the way on various fronts. The foundation has organised mega sanitisation drive in more than 16,000 housing societies, hospitals, BMC Ambulances, offices and public transport vehicles since April 4, 2020.
The Foundation came out with this mega drive to bring difference in society to protect the people and country from Covid-19. The sanitation drive was successfully undertaken across Ghatkopar, Chembur, Kurla, Sion, Mulund, Bhandup, Vikroli, Dadar, Parel, Juhu, Vile Parle, South Mumbai, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Mira Road, Bhayandar and Powai. The entire cost of sanitisation equipment and the chemical used in sanitisation are provided free of cost by the Foundation.
The foundation is very keen to expand this sanitisation drive to other cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru in near future.
Even after lifting the lockdown, citizens of the country should continue to take precautions to not get infected with Covid-19. In this endeavour to contain Covid-19, Veer Foundation will continue sanitisation drive. Sanitation is the key in containing Covid-19 and one has to sanitize their societies, hospitals, Ambulances, offices and public transportation vehicles at regular intervals.
The members of the Foundation have followed all safety measures like wearing masks and gloves while sanitisation.
Commenting on the Foundation's efforts in containing Covid-19, Nitin Sanghavi, Trustee said, “We strive to contain the spread of Covid-19 in Mumbai in specific and across India. In this endeavour, we had set out to help citizens of the country. Our fellow trustees and volunteers have been working tirelessly for the last two months driving awareness and sanitisation across Mumbai.
As you all are aware that senior citizens, differently-abled and the migrant workers had been badly affected during the Covid-19. Veer Foundation has helped them by providing food for the last two months. The Foundation would like to assist our fellow citizens to fight Covid-19, so that we all can have a safe life and resume normalcy very soon. Let’s work together to make India free from Covid-19.”
