XAXIS, M/SIX AND LEMMA HANDS TO DRIVE SALES GROWTH FOR BRANDS THROUGH PROGRAMMATIC DOOH CAMPAIGN

·         Demonstrated on Veeba, the campaign enables digital targeting, measurement and attribution from DOOH placements
·         Visible increase in overall sales at target supermarkets by an average of 15%
·         Effective success in retargeting exposed audiences for further engagement; garnered 2.7% avg. CTR, 3X higher than previous benchmarks
Delhi 11th, March 2020) – Xaxis, the Outcome Media Company and GroupM’s advanced programmatic arm, in partnership with m/SIX and Lemma recently announced the results of their pioneering digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign for Veeba Sauces. The campaign showcased new real-time audience targeting and measurement capabilities for out-of-home advertising and helped increase in-store sales by more than 15%.
Identifying buying patterns among consumers for Veeba Sauces, Xaxis designed the campaign to target the upper-middle-class population in Delhi. With a host of competing brands, standing out in stores was also a challenge. To reach out to their target audience, customers were targeted at three key touchpoints at the supermarket: before they entered the store, at the store and at the billing counter. Using Xaxis’ proprietary platform intelligence the campaign gained richer insights and analysis of all audience dynamics, enabling attribution of the effects of the contextualized content strategy as well as its impact on brand engagement and in-store behaviour.
As consumer attention becomes increasingly elusive, Xaxis’ DOOH capabilities, allowed Veeba Sauces to build connections with target audiences in real time and understand the direct impact of DOOH on the customer journey. By leveraging DOOH, brands can enjoy the benefits of digital display advertising, including data-driven targeting, measurement, and live creative updates, in localized, high-impact media sites. By 2021, digital is expected to account for 45% of all outdoor media spend (WARC Global Ad Trends report, November 2018).
Ankit Sharma, brand manager at Veeba Food Services, commented: “Xaxis presented us an opportunity to deliver programmatically digital out of home. With our fantastic product line-up, being able to display our message in target stores supported by mobile activity, remarketing to users who were within 20 meters of a DOOH location, was a smart approach. The campaign helped increase sales by 15% across the target 24/7 stores in Delhi. Moving forward, it is a channel we will be considering within our media mix.”
Saket Sinha, senior vice president and head of m/SIX India, said: "M/SIX has always believed in outcome-based advertising, and that connecting with walk–in consumers at a store is a critical part of the marketing funnel. By enabling brands to tap into the benefits of programmatic advertising, we were able to provide Veeba Sauces with a unique medium to reach consumers with eye-level messaging and  cover an area far greater than what was possible through traditional OOH.”
Bharat Khatri, country lead, Xaxis India added: “Out-of-home advertising has always been an effective media channel to drive awareness for brands and now combined with programmatic technology this medium is more automated and measurable than ever before. We saw all the benefits of programmatic DOOH come to light, the ability to communicate in real-time through networked digital screens, wi-fi and mobile broadband to deliver contextually relevant messaging, and drive more immediate consideration, trial and purchase. This is a compelling reason for brands to invest in DOOH.”
Gulab Patil, founder and CEO of Lemma said: “Mapping audience parameters and behavioural tendencies to locations has taken DOOH advertising to new heights. Furthermore, programmatic technology has enhanced DOOH outputs with dynamic creative rendering abilities that empower advertisers to leverage the essence of the surrounding. In this case contextualized creatives for Veeba in sync with audience profile, placement & density influenced consumers in the last mile of the purchase journey, subsequently resulting in higher sales. Not only this, technology like ours provides data-mining opportunities which help brands garner information beyond mere exposures.

Xaxis partners with Nielsen Media for digital audience measurement in India

Xaxis clients set to benefit from independent view of audience delivered through programmatic
NEW DELHI, (24 September 2019) - Xaxis India, the Outcome Media Company and GroupM’s advanced programmatic arm, has partnered with global measurement and data analytics company Nielsen Media as a primary digital audience measurement provider in India to bring industry wide third-party verification for Xaxis View, Video Premium, and Audio campaigns.
As a ‘mobile first’ market, analysis of mobile media consumption habits is crucial for success. With Nielsen’s Digital Ad Ratings now offering mobile measurement across leading social, video and audio streaming platforms, Xaxis and its clients will get an accurate read of demographics, reduplicated unique audience numbers, as well as reach, frequency and gross rating points (GRPs) for all campaigns.
Measurement is the first step to affect a change. I am excited at the prospect of Nielsen and Xaxis collaborating to set a gold standard in audience measurement, driving more meaningful outcomes and thus creating unique value for Xaxis clients. With Nielsen’s mobile measurement capabilities, coupled with Xaxis’ AI led machine learning capabilities, we are in a unique position to not just bring robust cross-platform and cross-device measurements, but drive custom on-target reach outcomes for our clients across a suite of Xaxis Video and Audio products”
Nielsen recently announced that it had expanded advertising measurement on YouTube’s mobile app with Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings. With this expansion, Xaxis can access more granular understanding of YouTube audiences in a manner comparable to TV audiences. These insights can be used to optimize campaigns and drive ‘On Target Reach’ as an outcome on which advertisers can base their media buys. This becomes extremely relevant for brands looking for the most efficient way to reach out to their target audiences through programmatic across mobile inventory.
Rita Sahajpaul, National Head of Product and Marketing Science, Xaxis India
“As brands increase their spend on digital, we’ve seen advertisers demanding greater transparency and cross platform comparability. By bringing a person-based measurement across publishers through Digital Ad Ratings, Nielsen will provide Xaxis with an independent view and deep understanding of the audience delivered programmatically using metrics comparable to those used for TV

Vishal Kamath, Director of Digital Media Measurement, Nielsen Media, South Asia
Xaxis has partnered with Nielsen to apply the Digital Ad Ratings measurement across Xaxis View (across YouTube inventory), Xaxis Video Premium (on OTT’s inventory – Hotstar, Sonyliv, Zee5 and Voot) and Xaxis Audio (Audio streaming inventory like Spotify, Gaana and JioSaavn).

Xaxis and Mediacom raise the bar on media quality standards with Subway in Singapore

Head-to-head campaign test reveals Xaxis video solution delivered 15 times more viewable cost efficiency versus social video ads
SINGAPORE (20 September 2019) – Xaxis, the Outcome Media Company and GroupM’s advanced programmatic arm, in partnership with Mediacom, today announced the results of a recent campaign for Subway which achieved superior performance of programmatic video ads over social video.
Xaxis and Mediacom worked with Subway to evaluate its video ads’ effectiveness across various online platforms, leading to the formation of head-to-head tests between video vendors and set up to compare the costs of viewable completed views (vCPCV).
Xaxis leveraged proprietary premium supply and machine learning to accurately predict and optimise to viewable completed views which resulted in efficient and intelligent media buying. The Subway video campaign ran across both Xaxis video solutions and social platforms.
The test saw a win on both ad efficiency and ad effectiveness with Xaxis’ video solution achieving a 93% lower vCPCV versus the social platform. The campaign’s viewability score was verified by third-party verification partner IAS as three times more viewable than the social video campaign. Additionally, Xaxis delivered more value for Subway’s digital investment by only charging on 100% completed view.
Overall, the campaign results suggest that Xaxis’ video solution drives more superior viewability results compared to social video ads and showcases Xaxis’ ability in delivering cost-efficient reach for Subway’s target audience.
“Viewability has always been at the core of all Xaxis’ solutions, and we are hyper-focused on delivering the best value for our client’s business through a combination of technology, premium supply and data. This campaign is a great example of how to utilise comparison testing methodology and third-party verification to set higher standards for ourselves.  I believe if we continue to place focus on outcome-driven media that is meaningful to our clients, we can finally deliver on the promise of making advertising budgets genuinely accountable”

JOSH QUEK, MANAGING DIRECTOR, XAXIS SINGAPORE
“It is essential that our industry works together to address current challenges around quality, especially in regard to viewability. Having been a long-standing partner, we have seen Xaxis’ efforts in helping brands build truly cost- efficient campaigns. Their dedication to pioneering higher viewability standards makes us proud to be a part of a team.”

VIVIAN YEUNG, MANAGING DIRECTOR, MEDIACOM SINGAPORE
“The Xaxis and Mediacom team have raised the bar on viewability for us at Subway. From the very beginning, we were delighted to see their passion in pursuing the best results for us. By factoring in viewability, we were further able to determine which platform achieves the best results in the most cost-efficient way, setting a precedent to optimise future campaigns.”
As digital advertising continues to evolve, media quality remains a leading concern for brands and advertisers alike with them calling for greater accountability in the industry globally. To combat this, Subway constantly evolves their metrics to stay ahead of the industry by reviewing the quality of their media buy versus cost.
