Yamaha announces “Special Finance Scheme” for Frontline Warriors


Yamaha Motor India group of companies announced a SPECIAL FINANCE SCHEME for the frontline warriors of COVID 19 across all authorized Yamaha dealerships in India on the backdrop of its continued efforts to support the selfless determination of the COVID 19 warriors in protecting and serving the society during this pandemic. The company’s initiative is targeted towards providing exclusive & attractive finance schemes to help raise purchasing conveniences for the frontline warriors.
The Special Finance Scheme reduces EMI payment by 50% during first 3 months of the new Yamaha two-wheeler purchase from authorized Yamaha dealerships, and thereby moderating the load of first 3 EMIs as a gesture of incentivizing the extraordinary dedication of the frontline warriors. The scheme is valid for all the frontline warriors and can be availed between July 1st to July 31st, 2020. The company’s Special Finance Scheme is announced in the context of Yamaha’s continuous efforts to support the uncountable services made by the frontline warriors in India.
Earlier, the company has made efforts to run a nationwide Yamaha “Corona Warriors’ Camp”from June 8 th to June22 nd, along with special public awareness initiatives like “Thank you frontline warriors” movie featuring dealers, customers and employees, “Thank you” formation in manufacturing facility, sticker messaging campaign and a balloon signage campaign. The dealerships of the company have reopened in various cities and are operational under standard operating procedures.

Yamaha celebrates its HERITAGE during the 65th anniversary

Chennai, July 1st, 2020: Yamaha Motor India (YMI) Group celebrated the 65th anniversary along with the global businesses under the Yamaha Motor Company (YMC) Ltd. with its HERITAGE of unique mobility solutions including two wheelers, ground breaking technologies and racing legacy. The company has planned various online and digital initiatives to recount the brand’s landmark successes of performance and innovation during the “Yamaha Day” celebrated globally on July 1 that could further help the current employees and management to cultivate “The Unique style of Yamaha”.
The brand’s motorcycle division that started in 1955 at Japan with the introduction of YA 1 had gradually rolled out some of the world’s best seller commuters and performance-driven motorcycles along the sidelines of ace technologies like 4 stroke, DOHC 5 valve engine and eventually setting outstanding records of racing championships. YMIG under its brand campaign “The Call of the Blue” has been driving the spirit of this HERITAGE with the help of a unique two-wheeler line up that are “exciting, stylish and sporty” and striking engagements and customer activities. Yamaha will run a host of customer activities on the digital space and will separately engage Yamaha employees in various craftwork initiatives to continue to transmit the brand’s uniqueness, thus redirecting from physical activities to digital initiatives as billions of people are grappling with the pandemic.

The company has also endeavored to offer its tribute to the frontline warriors including medical fraternity, teams handling emergency, civil and essential services through a new campaign “Yamaha Salutes Frontline Warriors”. All two wheelers and four wheelers used by the employees along with the company’s transport would display the illustrative stickers in support of the campaign, a balloon signage will also being installed at OMR, Chennai near to the company head office while the teams at Yamaha’s Chennai plant have offered their support with the help of a unique vehicle formation saying ‘Thank You’. The company has also launched a Social Media campaign “Yamaha salutes frontline warriors” in which various employees from across pan India offices of the company along with dealers and customers can be seen to have come together to offer their support and thanks to the frontline warriors.

Yamaha employees join the fight against COVID 19 by donating a day's salary


A total of Rs. 61.5 lakh collected through the donation  
~ Rs. 25 lakh each will be donated to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (Government of
Tamil Nadu) and Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund (Government of Uttar Pradesh)
~ Rs. 11.5 lakh will be donated to the PM Cares Fund
Mumbai/ Chennai, 9th May 2020: India's leading two wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha Motor India Group (YMIG) announced today that its employees have donated a day’s salary from the April month on a voluntary basis in order to support the government in fighting the contingencies arising out of the COVID 19 pandemic in India. The permanent employees which includes both the white collar and blue collar employees as well as some trainees based at the three plant locations Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu), Surajpur (Uttar Pradesh), & Faridabad (Haryana), Corporate Office in Chennai and Area Offices across India donated a total of Rs. 61.5 lakh for this noble cause.  
As a responsible entity, Yamaha feels that in the current situation it is the moral responsibility of everyone to extend their support and make efforts to be a part of the government's preparation to work towards combating the global pandemic by bringing relief to millions of citizens through essentials, healthcare and charity. Out of the total donation of Rs. 61.5 lakh, Rs. 25 lakh each will be donated to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund (Government of Tamil Nadu) and Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund (Government of Uttar Pradesh) and the remaining Rs. 11.5 lakh to the PM Cares Fund.
Mr. Takahiro Henmi, Executive Vice President, Yamaha Motor India has commented on the donation and said, "This is a global crisis and Yamaha's task as a global company is enormous. During such time what COVID 19 has prompted, Yamaha feels that it is important for everyone to stand united against the pandemic and come forward to support the government in winning this battle. I appreciate and also feel proud as our employees decided to join the global community in full spirit by voluntarily donating a day's salary. It will certainly help the government to fast track relief measures for the people of India. We will also continue to provide assistance to the government in the best way we can."
In the current circumstances, the company has taken all the necessary measures to support the government by closing its operations in India since the announcement of lockdown in the last week of March. Yamaha is fully committed to the health protocols in the wake of the COVID-19 threat and is regularly creating awareness among its stakeholders to ensure that they remain safe and healthy and continue adhering to the government guidelines.

Yamaha Service and Warranty extension due to COVID 19 Pandemic

India Yamaha Motor (IYM), as a responsible company has always believed in prioritizing its customers and protecting their rights. Under the current circumstances, we feel that few of our customers may struggle to get their vehicles serviced on time or avail warranty benefits which may expire during country’s lock down situation.
Hence, as a part of our Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care approach, we would like to extend the benefits which were committed by us to our customers for an additional 60 days (i.e. till June-2020) from date of expiry as gratitude towards long lasting relationship with customers.
The following services will be extended:
     Free service: Services expiring between 15-March-2020 to 15-April-2020, will be extended till June-2020
     Normal warranty: Normal warranty expiring between 15-March-2020 to 15-April-2020 will be extended till June-20

Yamaha introduces YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in BS VI




~ The new YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in BS VI will sport rear radial tyre, side stand engine cut-off switch and dual horn as a standard offering ~ 
~ The racing blue variant will sport blue coloured wheels ~

Mumbai, December 09, 2019: At the backdrop of The Call of the Blue creating excitement through Yamaha products and experiences, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. announces the launch of YZF-R15 Version 3.0 (155 cc) in BS VI that will be available across all company dealerships of the country from the 3rd week of December, 2019. After the company’s announcement in August 2019 to introduce the BS VI engine equipped two wheelers in India, today’s introduction of the YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in BS VI followed the first introduction of Yamaha BS VI vehicles that is, FZ FI (149 cc) and FZS FI (149 cc) in November this year. The new YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in BS VI will be available in 3 current colours – Racing Blue, Thunder Grey and Darknight, along with the Racing Blue variant standardizing blue coloured wheels. The Ex-Showroom Delhi begins from Rs. 145,300.
With a weight of 142 kgs, the new BS VI engine equipped YZF-R15 Version 3.0 gets ‘Side stand engine cut-off switch’, ‘Dual horn’ and ‘Radial tubeless tyre’ at the rear wheel. Such new features will be standardized in all variants of the YZF-R15 Version 3.0. Additionally, to perk up the sporty excitement of ‘The Call of the Blue’, the RACING BLUE colour variant gets ‘blue colour wheels’ that match with the racing excitement of the motorcycle. The new BS VI engine equipped YZF-R15 Version 3.0 has a 155 cc, Liquid cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine that produces a power output of 18.6 PS at 10,000 rpm and a torque of 14.1 N.m at 8,500 rpm.

Since 2018, the company is focusing to strengthen its market share in the premium segment of motorcycles and scooters. Additionally, the brand’s global expertise to offer technologically innovative mobility solutions that are also environment-friendly is brought onboard to support the company’s future growth in India.
Yamaha being a responsible manufacturer is always concerned about the environment & safety of our customers. Yamaha team is industriously working to live up to the company’s commitment and it is quite likely that the BS VI compatible Yamaha motorcycles & scooters will arrive in the market well before the recommended deadline of April 2020. To be precise, the company will rejig its line up with BS VIcompatible motorcycles and scooters in several phases starting as early as November 2019 for motorcycles and January 2020 with scooters. The hike in production cost for launching BS VI variants may impact the pricing of the two wheelers varying between10%-15% on average depending upon the product features. The company however, will standardizeoffsetting benefits in selected two wheeler models like ‘Side stand switch’.This feature prevents the engine to start till the side stand is withdrawn completely.Yamaha will continue to work towards providing innovative technologies & exciting products for the Indian market.
