The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) along with the Federation of Ladies Organization (FLO) Mumbai Chapter recently announced the chapter’s new chairperson Ms. Tehmina Khandwala.
During the year FICCI FLO Mumbai chapter will focus on areas related to women empowerment, skill development for women and girl children, women training programs, MSME sessions for women, corporate governance workshops and networking sessions, exhibitions to showcase women startups, and display of their products, working with NGOs for underprivileged girl children and many more.
The emphasis will lay on startups and entrepreneurship, the power of design, education, and skill development, giving an equal platform to women with disability, and financial literacy, The projects, and workshops curated will predominantly concentrate on bringing women to the forefront.
2022-23 will be a year where members will meet physically over various events at top-class venues. These events will facilitate networking and communication with other members and provide a space for the exchange of ideas. Attached please find a picture of Tehmina Khandwala along with Zainab Patel, who is one of the petitioners in the National Legal Services Authority v. Union of India case on transgender rights. She holds an MBA in Human Resources & is the National Manager Health & Human Rights at UNDP country office in India.
