Planet Marathi OTT will enter a new genre of docuseries, having acquired rights to the content from the Marathi industry’s much-loved actress Sonalee Kulkarni’s real-life wedding. This is the first time ever in the history of Marathi entertainment that the wedding ceremony of a Marathi celebrity will be showcased to the audience. Bringing in the pomp and glamour of weddings, the streaming platform is ready to launch the special titled ‘Sonalee, Kunal: A Wedding Story” on 11th August 2022.
Through this special, viewers are in for a pleasant ride as they watch the ups and downs which lead to the wedding and interesting inside stories. Viewers can watch how the family who could not attend the registered marriage, had problems reaching the wedding destination too! The photos which hinted at a 'white wedding', the secret behind it will also be out.
Kulkarni tied the knot with UK-based finance professional Kunal Benodekar on 7th May 2021 in London. The couple got married in a mesmerisingly beautiful ceremony with traditional Maharashtrian customs! Given her fame and stature in the industry, Sonalee’s wedding created an uproar and much hype once it went public. The wedding was a hush-hush affair which was announced only post-event with a few pictures on social media. Fan's curiosity levels hit the roof as they did not get a chance to know or see more about the wedding.

Sonalee played the lead role in ‘Tamasha Live’, a recently released musical film from Planet Marathi. The gorgeous actress is known for her roles in ‘Natarang’, ‘Ajintha’ and ‘Jhimma’ among a slew of other notable films. This will be Planet Marathi OTT’s first non-fiction association with the actress.
