Fresh from the release of Ek Villain Returns, Peruvian-Indian Actor, Supermodel and Philanthropist Elena Fernandes has carved time to support the cause of animal welfare with a sale of some of her personal favourite fashion fits.
Even while tralling for shoots across time zones, Elena has earned a strong reputation in the animal welfare community for never losing track of animals in her care. She also stays awake through the night to make sure vet appointments made in India take place as scheduled. She has assembled a team to conduct mass sterilisations, including pre and post operative care, and has conducted over 15,000 such procedures. Elena explained, "Soon after I came to India nearly a decade ago, wherever I've lived I've put together a team to do sterilizations - you scope out the area, see how many males and females there are, note their feeding times and take vet appointments accordingly!"
She has also been personally involved in rescuing many animals from cruel conditions and fighting animal cruelty cases, while also taking on those who seek to dislocate animals from where they live.
This latest initiative by Elena raises funds for Samovila Foundation, a home for special needs and handicapped animals. Pieces are available through the social enterprise Dolce Vee's website, where buyers can scope out her fashion favourites while supporting this cause, at SaltScout.com/DolceVee/ ElenaFernandes !
