In the latest episode of Koffee with Karan, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor took to the ‘Koffee Couch’ in what proved to be a bonanza of style and entertainment. The duo spoke about their sibling rivalry and displayed a charming chemistry the moment they entered the dazzling set.
Karan asked Sonam about her fashionista moments, calling her a ‘pioneer’ of the Indian fashion movement, and discussed her airport looks. In between discussing their upcoming projects, relationships, social media, Sonam’s pregnancy and their ‘hottest moments’ on the couch before, they also spoke about their love for diamonds.
It all climaxed with the rapid-fire round. Karan asked Arjun about a diamond accessory for men that can never go wrong. Arjun revealed that he was impressed with the diamond earrings that Ranveer Singh donned in a previous episode of the show and Karan responded with, “Mummy’s diamonds!”
Towards the end of Sonam’s rapid-fire round, Karan asked her why she felt every girl must own a diamond. Sonam reminisced about the time she got her first ever diamond and said, “I got it because I had just signed something and had received my money. It made me feel really good and it was something I could proudly wear.” She also said that her Sindhi mother appreciates goods that add value to life. Sonam agrees with her mother, which is why she felt every woman must own a diamond.
On the subject of luxury, Arjun said he associated it with comfort whereas Sonam termed her family as luxury for herself. Overall, it was a livewire episode as the siblings kept proceedings interesting with their thoughts and quirky ribbing of each other.
