Brinda Dahal, who plays the lead role of Vaishnavi in Sun Neo's show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, recently opened up about her Bhai Dooj celebrations with her younger brother, Vigyaan.
Revealing how she celebrates the day, Brinda shared, "We celebrate Bhai Dooj in a special way, just like we usually do. In Nepal, there’s a tradition where we worship our brothers. We sprinkle water on them and apply a colourful tikka on their foreheads. It’s a fun celebration, and brothers often give us gifts."
Expressing her love for her brother, the Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya actress said, "Every sister values her brother, and my brother is very important to me too. Like all sisters, I love and care for him deeply. He is my only brother and is younger than me. I was already a bit grown-up when he was born, so I understand what it means to have a brother."
She further added, "Our biggest strength is our love for each other, and we also have a playful side. Childish behaviour can sometimes be positive because it doesn’t always indicate a problem. Our strength lies in the fact that we genuinely care for one another. Even though he is young, he knows how to support and care for me, which is sweet."
"Despite the significant age gap, our bond remains strong and wonderful. This year, my brother is visiting India after one and a half years, and I’m really excited to see him. I’ve missed him a lot, and I’m a bit nervous about how he will feel visiting my set," Brinda Dahal concluded.
Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, airing on Sun Neo at 7 PM, follows Vaishnavi, an orphan who draws strength and comfort from her unshakable faith in Chhathi Maiyya, who acts as a motherly figure in her life. The show features a talented ensemble cast, including Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Brinda Dahal, and Ashish Dixit.
