CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA HOCKEY TEAM CHAMPIONS

CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA WON the 1st Division Title in the MHA League 2019, played at the MHA stadium, Churchgate 
The young players of the Bank team played superb hockey and also their hearts out in the FINALS against UNITED BANDRA CLUB and won the match by scoring 6 goals to 2.
CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA  has now  been Promoted to the Senior Division League and will be competing with other corporate teams in the next  coming season 
In the evenly contested finals the Bank men opened their scoring tally  in the 10th  minute through their regular goal scorer  Sartaj Alam  Trojan player of the bank  Shabaz Khan scored the second goal by converting  a Penalty Corner in the 17th min to make it 2-0.
United Bandra Club scored a goal through their striker Saad P to make  it 1-2.
Hard working player Md Altamash of Central Bank  increased the score line  in the 18th min to make it 3-1.
In the 2nd half of the game CBI extended the lead to 4-1 vide a  Penalty Corner conversion  in the 35th min by their young and energetic player  Shabaz Khan.The high light of the finals  was a magical goal scored in the 53rd min by veteran player of the bank  Brian Dsouza to make it 5-1.United Bandra boys reduced the margin in the 56th min through Karan Kapoor to make  it 5-2
Young player Faraz Tadvi of  Central Bank completed the tally by scoring the last goal of the match  in the 58th min  to complete the score  tally to  6-2.
CBI won the Final match and won the Champions Trophy for the Hockey season 2019 which was handed over to the Bank team by the Hon.Chief Guest and The President of MHAL Shri.Mangha Singh Bakshi.

CENTRAL BANK OF INDIAHOCKEY TEAMENTERS THE FINALSOF THE 1ST DIVISION MUMBAI HOCKEY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT-2019.

Young and Energetic players of Central Bank Of India playedExcellent and Skillful Hockey tothrash Reserve Bank Of Indiaby scoring 10 goals to 4 in theexciting bankers derby Semi Final match played at the BHA Mahindra Stadium Mumbai.
Central BankOf India Hockey team is the only unbeaten team in the tournament to enter the Finals of the prestigious 1st division Hockey league matches. CBI Boysperformed extremely well  through out the tournament and deserved the place in the Finals.
CBI took the earlyleadin the 4th minuteof the game through their seasoned goal scorers Saddam Ahmad the lead was short lived  player Rahul of RBI equalized immediately. CBI again took the lead in the 27th minute by a goal scored  by young playerSartajAlamto make it 2:1
Then onwardsplayers of Central Bank of India did not look back and came into the game strongly by scoring 8 goals into the game. Goals for CBI was scored  in the 35th,39th,40th,44th,49th,52nd,59th and 60th minutes through Faraztadvi, Saddam Ahmad, 2goals each  MdAltamash and Shabaź Khan, SartajAlam,and Brian Dsouza.
RBl reduced the margin inthe 42nd,50th and 53rd goals scored by Swapnil and 2goals by Rahul.

UNBEATAN CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA HOCKEY TEAM ENTERS SEMI FINALS OF THE FIRST DIVISION MUMBAI HOCKEY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT 2019.

Young Central Bank of India Hockey team players  once again produced a solid attacking game and won their match by scoring 4 goals to 1 against Catholic Gym in the First Division match of the MHA League played at MHA Stadium, Churchgate on 25.08.2019.
Energetic players of Central Bank of India out played their opponents and  remained  unbeaten and stayed on top of the table in the group, the bank men has stormed into Semi-finals of the tournament. 
Dominating the play from the beginningMdh Altamash and  Sartaj Alam both the young players of the bank scored 1 goal each and seasoned goal scorer  Shabaz Khan brace (2 Goals) sealed the match with two Penalty Corner  conversion in the 50th and 53rd minute  took  the score tally to 4:0. Catholic Gym pulled one back in the 57 minute a consolation goal scored by Sabby Das.
Central Bank Of India Hockey team the Title Winners of the last years Second division and now Promoted to first division has performed extremely well in the tournament till date. The bank team has given an opportunity and a platform  to young talented Hockey players to show case their talent and make their career in the field of hockey.

Central Bank of India Reduced MCLR


Central Bank Of India Reduced 1 Year MCLR by 20 bps from 8.50% to 8.30% and also reduced across all other tenors effective from 15/08/2019.
MD & CEO also informed that the Bank will come out with New Products in Retail Segments having Repo Linked Interest Rate ie RLIR during September 2019.

Central Bank of India has started Tree plantation campaign in a mass mode. The campaign was inagurated by Shri Pallav Mohapatra, MD & CEO of the Bank by planting a sapling  at Bank’s Sir Sorabji Pochkhanwala Bankers Training College, Vile parle, Mumbai. As a part of social initiative to conserve natural environment, bank will plant one thousand saplings across Mumbai, Thane and Panaji Regions. On this ocassion large number of Senior Executives and staff of the Bank were present to mark the occassion.

Central Bank of India Hockey Team Victorious


Central Bank of India’s Hockey Team consisting of young players started their wining campaign in the competitive First division Mumbai Hockey league matches 2018-19 conducted by the Mumbai Hockey Association, played at the MHA ground, Mumbai.
The Bank men have played 2 matches and have won both the games and have earned full points in the league tournament.
In the very first match of the 2018-19 season, Central bank of India  defeated Wellington Catholic Gym by a thumping margin of 6 goals to 1.The highlight of the match was a Superb Hatrick by young and energetic player Sahbaz Khan who scored 3 goals, Mohd.Altamash, Faraz Tadvi and Rajiv Rajan scored 1 goal each and win the match.
In the second match of the tournament it was an hard earned victory   for the bank men they defeated Greater Mumbai Police by a very narrow margin of 2 goals to 1 young player Faraz Tadvi again scored both the goals and sealed the match for Central bank Of India.

Central Bank of India organized Yoga Day Program

On the Occasion of  International Yoga Day, Central Bank of India organized Yoga Program for Dignitaries and  its staff Members on 21stjune 2019 at Central Office, Mumbai and all its  branches around Pan India. Shri D N.Rajendra Kumar, Chief Marketing Officer welcomed the Executives and the staff members and said that Yoga is the lifeline which rejuvenates the mind and the body.
Shri Parshuram Panda, Chief Vigilance Officer of the Bank addressed the gathering and underlined the importance of Yoga in our day to day life, he also said the whole world is doing Yoga and it is a proud moment for our Country.

BANK RESULTS FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER & FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED MARCH 31, 2019


The Board of Directors of Central Bank of India approved the Bank’s results for the fourth quarter and the financial year ended March 31, 2019 at their meeting held in Mumbai on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.


                              Major Highlights – FY 19


è   Share of CASA to Total Deposits increased to 46.21%  as at March 31,
2019 as compared to 42.46%   as at March 31, 2018.
è   Provision Coverage Ratio of the Bank has improved to 76.60% as at
March 31, 2019 from 63.31% as at March 31, 2018.
è   Operating Profit stood at Rs.3127 crore for the full financial year ended
March 31, 2019 as against Rs.2733 crore for the financial year ended
March 31, 2018.
è   Net NPA reduced to  7.73 % as at March 31,2019 from 11.10%
as at March 31, 2018.
è   RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) stood at­ 68.78 % of Total Advances.
è   Cost of Deposits reduced to 5.21% from 5.53% on y-o-y.
è   NIM improved to 2.54% from 2.47% on y-o-y.



ASSET QUALITY:


*           
Bank had made a robust Cash Recovery of Rs.5659.97 crore during the Year ended March 31,2019 including recovery of Rs.499.41 crore in Technical Write off  Accounts as compared to Rs.2719.60 crore including recovery of Rs 316.26 in Technical Write off  Accounts in the year ended March 31, 2018 registering increase of  108.12 % on y-o-y basis . Recovery of Rs.2371.85 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2019 including recovery of Rs.332.53 crore in Technical Write off Accounts as compared to Rs. 942.55 crore including recovery of Rs 88.45 crore in Technical Write off  Accounts in the quarter ended  March 31, 2018 .
*            Upgradation of assets stood at Rs. 567.53 crore in the year ended March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs. 785.12 crore in the year ended March 31, 2018.
*            Gross NPA to Gross Advances further decreased to 19.29% as on March 31, 2019 as against 21.48% as on March 31, 2018.
*    Net NPA to Net Advances further reduced to 7.73% as on March 31, 2019 as against 11.10% as on March 31, 2018 and 10.32% as on December 31, 2018. 
*    Provision Coverage Ratio improved further and stood at 76.60% as on March 31, 2019 from 63.31% as on March 31, 2018 and 69.52% as on December 31, 2018.
*    Gross NPA further reduced to Rs. 32356 crore as on March 31, 2019 from Rs. 38130 crore as on March 31, 2018. In percentage terms, Gross NPA to Gross advances stood at 19.29% as on March 31, 2019 as against 21.48% as on March 31, 2018 
PROFITABILITY:

*   
Total Income for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 stood at Rs.6621 crore as compared to Rs.6302 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018. For the full financial year ended March 31, 2019, Total Income stood at Rs. 25052 crore as against Rs.26659 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2018.
*    Non Interest Income of the Bank stood at Rs. 1144  crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs. 670 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 registering an increase of 70.75% . For the full financial year ended March 31, 2019, Non Interest Income stood at Rs.2413 crore as against Rs.2623 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2018.
*    Operating Profit of the Bank stood at Rs.1519 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs. 548 crore for the corresponding quarter ended March 31, 2018 registering an increase of 177%.  For the full financial year ended March 31, 2019, Operating Profit stood at Rs.3127 crore as against Rs.2733 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2018 showing an increase of 14.42%
*       Net Loss for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 stood at Rs.2477 crore as against Net Loss of Rs. 2114 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018. For the full financial year ended March 31, 2019, Net Loss stood at Rs.5641 crore as against Rs.5105 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2018.

BUSINESS HIGHLIGHTS:

*   
Total Business of the Bank stood at Rs.467584 crore as at March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs. 472323 crore as at March 31, 2018.

*    Total Deposits stood at Rs. 299855 crore as on March 31, 2019 from          Rs. 294839 crore as on March 31, 2018.

*    CASA percentage improved to 46.21 % in March, 2019 as against     42.46 % in March, 2018.
*      Gross Advances of the Bank stood at Rs.167729 crore as on March 31, 2019 as against Rs. 177484 crore as on March 31, 2018.

*    Agriculture Advances stood at Rs. 35655 crore as March 31, 2019 as against Rs. 30776 crore as March 31, 2018 registering y-o-y increase of 15.85%.
*    MSME Advances stood at Rs. 31037 crore in March 2019 without PSLC and Investment in SIDBI and Mudra Ltd.
*    Retail Loans for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 stood at Rs. 48666 crore constituting   29.01 % of the Total Loans & Advances.
*    Housing Loan portfolio of the Bank stood at Rs.23301 crore constituting 47.88 % of the total Retail Portfolio as on March 31, 2019.
CAPITAL:

*   
Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) as per Basel III stood at 9.61 % as on March 31, 2019, of which, CET1/Tier I capital stood at 7.49 % and      Tier II at 2.12 %.
*    Bank’s Net worth stood at Rs.16062.89 crore as on March 31, 2019.
DIGITAL BANKING:

*    Bank is having total 3966 ATMs as on March 31, 2019.
*    Transactions through Alternate Delivery channels are 7115 Lakh during FY 2019 (Constitute 60.09 % of Total transaction, increased from 49.84% for FY2018).
*    POS/ECom transactions during the year are on an average of      1.80 Lakh per day as against 1.19 Lakh per day in FY2018.
*    Mobile Banking transactions during the year are on average of  0.12 Lakhs per day
*    UPI transactions during the year are on average of 3.99 Lakhs per day against 0.81 Lakh during FY 2018.
*    IMPS transactions were on average of 1.20 Lakh per day during FY 2019 as against 0.72 Lakh per day in FY 2018.
*    Debit Card (EMV) issued for FY 2018-19 is 1.95 crore.
*    Registered users for Net Banking, Mobile Banking and UPI users with Central Bank - VPA during the quarter ended March 31, 2019 was 41.76 Lakhs, 18.82 Lakhs and 3.92 Lakhs respectively.

*    BHIM Aadhar Pay(Cent Digi Pay) –53082 as on  Mar’2019 as against 6143 as on Mar’2018.
*    INB Transactions are on average 1.66 Lakh per Day during FY 2019 as against 1.15 lakh in FY 2018.
FINANCIAL INCLUSION:

*    Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Bank has opened around 133.28 lakh accounts having an outstanding balance of Rs. 3043.72 crore as on March 31, 2019.
*    Total enrollment under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APJ) are 39.66 lakh, 13.66 lakh and 6.08 lakh respectively as on March 31, 2019.
*    As on 31.03.2019, in Mudra Loan (Shishu, Kishore & Tarun) Bank has sanctioned Rs. 4754.86 Crore, disbursed Rs.4530.15 Crore and the outstanding amount is Rs.3413.70 Crore in 2,50,498 accounts.
*    Our Bank is one of the best performer in APY during the year 2018-19. Our Bank has received seven awards under various campaigns of PFRDA for APY enrolment during 2018-19, namely Art of Possible, Quest for Crown, Formation Day, Winning Wednesday, Lead to Leap, Rise above Rest and Leadership capital campaign.

BRANCH SEGMENTATION:

*    Bank is having pan India presence with network of 4659 branches spanning 63.32% in rural & semi-urban areas and 3966 ATMs as on March 31, 2019.

Central Bank Of India observed ‘ Fire Safety Week’


Central Bank of India observed ‘Fire Safety Week’ from 14th April to 20th April 2019 in its branches and offices across the country.
Closing Ceremony followed by Mock Evacuation Drill cum Demo on Fire Fighting was also organized at Central Office of the Bank on 20th Apr 2019. Shri H D Parab, Deputy Fire officer from Mumbai Fire Brigade graced the event and addressed the mass gathering on safety aspects of the fire. Top Management of The Bank also disseminated their views on the occasion and expressed need of imbibing safety aspects in daily routine to curb on fire incidents

CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA BEAT GM SPORTS CLUB AND AIR INDIA


OUTSTANDING PERFORMACE BY WINNING BOTH THE MATCHES YOUNG AND ENERGETIC  CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA FOOTBALL TEAM HAS ALMOST QUALIFIED  FOR THE SEMI-FINAL STAGE WITH ONE MORE MATCH IN HAND AND ARE NOW LEADING THE POOL AND TABLE CONSISTING OF 4 TEAMS EACH  IN THE SUPER EIGHT PLAY OFF MATCHES OF THE ELITE DIVISION FOOTBALL LEAGUE CONDUCTED BY THE MUMBAI DISTRICT FOOTBALL ASOSIATION FOR THE PRESTIGIOUS HARWOD LEAGUE TROPHY 2018-19.
CBI DEFEATED GM SPORTS CLUB BY 2 GOALS TO NIL, NIMESH SHETTY AND YOGESH KADAM  BOTH THE YOUNG AND CONSISTENT STRIKERS OF THE BANK TEAM SCORED 1 GOAL EACH TO WIN THE MATCH FOR THEIR TEAM.
THE YOUNG AND SPIRITED BANK MEN  ALSO DEFEATED AIR INDIA FORMER CHAMPIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT BY 1 GOAL TO NIL.  THE HIGH LIGHT OF THE MATCH WAS A BEAUTIFUL GOAL SCORED BY THEIR YOUNG AND CONSISTENT GOAL SCORER YOGESH KADAM WHO HAD A VERY GOOD MATCH.
THE ENTIRE YOUNG CBI TEAM PLAYERS COMBINED VERY WELL AND PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT AND OUTPLAYED THEIR RIVALS IN ALL POSITIONS AND ZONES  TO STAY ON THE TOP OF THE POOL AND TABLE OF THE TOURNAMENT WITH 6 POINTS.

Central Bank of India Cricket Sports News

Central Bank of India - Cricket Team Won their Third League match in the prestigious 60th Sir Benegal Ramarau Inter Bank Cricket Tournament organised by Reserve Bank of India at Cross maidan. 
Central Bank Cricket Team after winning the toss with the help of magnificent Century by Ajit Rai in 60 balls with 7 fours and 3 towering sixes help Central Bank to score 182 /3 wickets  in alloted 20 overs. Equally supported by Vaishnav Sail who scored 43 runs..
Oriental Insurance fought hard to reach the target. But Central Bank bowler restricted their opponents to 164/5 wickets in 20 overs and thus winning the match.
As Central Bank of India won their  all the three league matches now topped the table and  entered the Quarter final of this prestigious Inter Bank Tournament.star performer of the day Ajit Rai was declared Man of the match for his magnificent hundred by the organisers.
