Mumbai, May 04, 2020: Hyundai Motor India Ltd., country’s first Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and the largest exporter since inception, has set Customer and Employee Safety as Top Priority with the announcement of a comprehensive list of measures, aimed at ensuring Dealership Preparedness to meet the highest levels of sanitation and hygiene across all its Showrooms and Workshops.
Commenting on the development, Mr SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “The Safety and Well Being of our Customers and Employees is Paramount. With the evolving situation, we must adapt ourselves for the future. Under the umbrella of the ‘Hyundai Cares’ initiative, we are geared up to meet these challenges with sufficient measures that will Enhance Customer Confidence while also ensuring a Safe Showroom & Workshop Environment for Customers and Employees. Our carefully thought out initiatives will encompass all ownership aspects of Hyundai Cars for New & Existing Customers.”
Under the ambit of the ‘Hyundai Cares’ initiative, HMI has laid down guidelines to be followed at its Dealerships across India that encompass all facets of customer interactions from their arrival to departure at Showrooms and Workshops. This will include Display car & Test Drive car preparedness, Customer Lounge & Washrooms sanitization (showroom & workshop), Delivery process of New car & Serviced car, Contactless Demonstration and servicing. To ensure the safety of facilities are not compromised, scheduled sanitization drives are planned and for various customer touch points, regular sanitization contingencies have been established along with thermal screening of employees and visitors.
HMI is simultaneously conducting large scale trainings to ensure all Employees / stakeholders are well informed and work towards the maintenance of a Healthy Dealership Ambience for Customers and fellow employees. To assist Dealerships, Hyundai Motor India and Mobis India LimitedPart of Hyundai Motor Group will dispatch 6.8 lakh masks (3-Ply, N-90 & N-95) as well as 20,000 half litre and 1.5 lakh 100 ml cases of Sanitizers for consumers, sales, service and backend staff for their own and others safety. Hyundai has maintained its lead by achieving rank No. 1 in the 2019 JD Power Sales Satisfaction Index and Customer Satisfaction Index. We will continue to exceed customer expectations by offering peace of mind with the thorough guidelines & protocols in place.
Customers can also opt for remote car demonstrations through online video conferencing application with Sales Consultants at Dealerships. Further, with Hyundai’s Click-to-Buy Integrated end-to-end online car sales website, customers can buy a brand new Hyundai Car online with minimal physical contact, minimal paperwork and home delivery options. For customer convenience, they can opt to have a Sales Consultant assist them in the process at any point in the entire online purchase journey.
Hyundai is also offering customers its 360 Digital Service & Contact-less Service Experience, through which customers can book a service appointment online through the Hyundai Care app, WhatsApp, Hyundai Website or a call to Dealers. Further, customers will receive digital updates through WhatsApp and can also make online payments. Customers will receive enhanced convenience with extended working hours, can avail courtesy car facility and also have their cars picked up and delivered at their doorstep (6 High Touch Points to be sanitized at the time of pick-up and delivery).

Hyundai Motor India distributes PPE Kits, Masks, Sanitizers and Dry Rations worth more than Rs 9 Crore to the Governments of Delhi, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra

Mumbai, April 24, 2020 :  Hyundai Motor India (HMI), country's first Smart
Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, extended its support to the Governments of Delhi, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra in the form of PPE Kits, Masks (3-Ply & N-95), Sanitizers and Dry Rations worth more than Rs 9 Crore. Additionally, HMI has donated Incinerators to Hospitals in Tamil Nadu for safe disposal of medical waste.

Hyundai Motor India Donates Rs 7 Crore to PM CARES Fund


Mumbai, April 20, 2020:  Hyundai Motor India (HMI), country’s first Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, made a donation of Rs 7 Crore to the PM CARES Fund, extending its support to the Citizens of India, amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “The core values of our foundation inspire us to strive for the betterment of society. Our contribution to the PM CARES Fund stands testament to solidarity we hold with the people of India, amidst this crisis. In challenging times such as these, we are pledging to bring about ‘Progress for Humanity’ and will continue giving back to help India defeat this adversity.” 
As part of Hyundai’s road map of giving back to society, series of initiatives have been taken to assist the Government in the battle against COVID-19. The range of initiatives now include:

Hyundai Motor India Partners with Air Liquide Medical Systems to Augment Production and Supply of Ventilators








  • Hyundai Motor India to collaborate with Air Liquide Medical Systems in identification of Alternate Suppliers for Ventilator Parts
  • Hyundai Motor India and Air Liquide Medical Systems aiming at enhancing the production and supply of Ventilators to Tamil Nadu and other states
Mumbai, April 18, 2020: Hyundai Motor India (HMI), country's first Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, has entered into a partnership with Air Liquide Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd. (ALMS) a Manufacturer of ICU Ventilators, to augment the production and supply of Ventilators in Tamil Nadu and other states. With this partnership HMI and ALMS aim to achieve a target of 1000 ventilators in the Phase 1 of production, and to scale up subsequently. 
Ventilators are medical devices used by healthcare professionals that take over the work of breathing from a patient who is unable to breathe on their own by delivering air with high concentration of oxygen to their lungs. For patients severely affected by COVID-19, ventilators are critical to ensure continuous oxygen is supplied to overcome respiratory insufficiency.
Commenting on this arrangement  with Air Liquide Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd. , Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Ventilators and other respiratory aids are critical devices in the fight against COVID-19 and to this end, Hyundai & Air Liquide Medical Systems are working together to ensure a steady supply of Ventilators in India. Hyundai Motor India hands over globally proven - COVID-19 Advanced Diagnostic Testing Kits to ICMR


  • Imported COVID-19 Advanced Diagnostic Testing Kits worth Rs 4 Crore manufactured by South Korean Company
  • Kits to benefit over 25000 people in affected regions
Mumbai, April 16, 2020:  Hyundai Motor India (HMI), country’s first Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, today handed over COVID-19 Advanced Diagnostic Testing Kits to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The globally proven Diagnostic Kits worth Rs 4 Crore have been imported from South Korea and offer high levels of accuracy, catering to the testing requirements of over 25000 individuals. These Diagnostic Kits are also being exported to USA, Europe and other countries.
Commenting on the handover, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “As a socially responsible and caring brand, Hyundai is committed to the fight against COVID-19. To provide further assistance to the Government’s efforts, we have handed over Globally Proven – COVID-19 Advanced Diagnostic Testing Kits imported from South Korea. These highly accurate diagnostic kits can help the Government scale up the testing efforts in affected regions and arrest the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in India."

Customers who were unable to avail vehicle’s Warranty/Extended Warranty/Free Service due to Health Emergency or Dealership shutdown in affected cities, HMI will offer extended support of 2 months. Customers (Doctors/Police/Bankers etc) who are in essential services are already being given Road Side Assistance by Allianz Partner/Dealers, in case of any emergency.

Hyundai Motor India Foundation ramps-up Initiatives to support India’s fight against COVID-19


  • Funds will be donated to PM CARES Fund and Tamil Nadu CM Public Relief Fund
  • Assistance in the form of much needed consumables will be provided to Hospitals in India
  • Hyundai will join hands with local vendors to develop medical equipment such as Ventilators

Mumbai, April 04, 2020:  Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has extended its spectrum of CSR initiatives in support of India’s fight against COVID-19. In its endeavour to provide assistance to the Central and State governments , Hyundai will not only contribute towards different Relief Funds but is also prepping to provide the Indian Medical Fraternity with much needed protective and patient care equipment.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “In these challenging times, our Global Vision – ‘Progress for Humanity’, holds us firmly rooted to core values of community service.   • In-house development of a prototype ventilator: already submitted to Government of Tamil Nadu for consideration
  • Provide protective and patient care equipment/ materials to various states
  • HMIL will provide daily necessary food material in the form of dry ration to needy people in coordination with local Government.
Hyundai has also announced initiatives to support customers in these challenging times. Hyundai Motor India Registers Cumulative Sales of 60,500 Units


Mumbai, December 01, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the country’s first Smart Mobility Solutions Company and the largest exporter since inception registered the Domestic sales of 44,600 units and Exports sales of 15,900 units with cumulative sales of 60,500 Units and a growth of 7.2% for the month of November, 2019.
Commenting on the November sales performance, Mr. Vikas Jain, National Sales Head - Hyundai Motor India Limited said, “Hyundai registered a cumulative growth of 7.2% with 60,500 units in November 2019, on account of improved demand in the domestic and export markets. Despite on-going market challenges, HMIL showcased good performance by GRANDi10, NIOS, VENUE, CRETA and ELITE i20.”

Hyundai Motor India Ranked No.1 in J D Power 2019 India Sales Satisfaction Index (Mass Market) Study


• Ranks no.1 in Sales Satisfaction Index with 873 points
Mumbai,  November 1, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s first smart mobility solutions provider and the largest exporter since inception, has been Ranked No. 1 in 2019 J D Power Sales Satisfaction Index (Mass Market) Study.
The study examined sales satisfaction in the mass market segment and brands’ performance for a period of one year. In 2019 study, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. ranked highest in overall sales satisfaction with a score of 873.

Hyundai Motor India Foundation Hands over a Cheque of Rs. 1 Cr to Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund

 ‘Hyundai Motor India Foundation hands over a Cheque of Rs. 1 Cr to Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund’.Mumbai / Guwahati, July 30, 2019:
 Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the philanthropic arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., today responded to the devastating floods in Assam by handing over a Cheque of Rs. 1 Crore to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).  Mr. Stephen Sudhakar J, Sr. Vice President – Administration, HMIL and Trustee of Hyundai Motor India Foundation and Mr. Bedabrata Sharma Bordoloi (Zonal Business Head – East) along with dealer principles of Oja Hyundai, Saraighat Hyundai and Akash Hyundai met the Honourable Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, to hand-over the cheque.  HMIF is the first automobile philanthropic foundation to contribute to the fund. Additionally, the dealers of HMIL are extending monetary and material help to the community, to help restore normalcy.
 Always at the forefront of lending a helping hand, HMIF has contributed to the CM’s Relief fund of Tamil Nadu in 2015 during the floods & in 2018 during cyclone Gaja, to the CM’s Relief fund of Kerala during the 2018 floods and to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund in May 2019.

Hyundai Motor India to hike prices from August 2019

Mumbai, July 23, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Ltd, India’s First Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, today announced a price increase up to Rs 9,200/-on account of increase in input costs due to new enhanced safety regulations in cars by the government. The new prices will be effective from August 1, 2019 across all models.

Hyundai Motor India organizes ‘Mega Experience Service Camp’

Mumbai, July 22, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Ltd, India’s First Smart Mobility Solutions Provider and largest exporter since inception, today organized Mega ‘Experience Hyundai Camp’. The camp provides the customers a platform to experience brand Hyundai within their vicinity for all service-related needs, new product purchase and evaluation of the existing car. In addition to this, the customers can also book a Test Drive of their favourite car during this camp.
The Mega ‘Experience Hyundai Camp’ was organized at 495 locations in 303 cities to provide personalized assistance, free vehicle check-up, evaluation of old cars in exchange offer to buy contemporary Hyundai cars. To enhance customer involvement, Hyundai SANTRO, Elite i20 and Xcent were on display to augment lead generation.
