SKORE STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN THE SEXUAL WELLNESS SEGMENT


~ Aims for 25% growth within the next 3 years and capture 15% market share in 5 year s
~ SKORE rapidly expands their sexual wellness portfolio with a slew of products such as single-charge, rechargeable and a remote-controlled variant of Vibrating rings
Pune, 12th December 2019: SKORE among India’s leading prophylactic brands from the house of TTK Healthcare Limited, pioneers of condom manufacturing and marketing in the country, is all set to strengthen its presence in the sexual wellness segment with new range of products for men and women. SKORE recently launched ‘PAS’, India’s first of its kind range of pheromone-activated body sprays and ‘OH!’ a water-based pleasure gel, that employs a special formula for women that heightens sensitivity during sex. Now, SKORE will soon announce the launch of a series of vibrating rings with rechargeable and remote controlled variants, a first of its kind in the country. As part of the series, there are three variants, Skore Shiver, Skore Vybes and Skore Buzzz.
According to market forecasts reports, the global sexual wellness industry will see an average compound growth of 27% from US$ 15 Billion in 2015 to US$ 50 Billion in 2020. In India, one of the main factors driving this is that more Indians are getting aware of the importance of sexual wellness. The internet and various OTT platforms have also served as key mediums to create awareness. With easy access to content and search engines, aided by the accessible content online via smartphones has enabled this awareness to spread to not only urban but rural India as well.
As a brand, SKORE, the second largest in the commercial condom market, has seen an 11.5% growth in 2018, according to its offtake data as per Nielsen Retail in December 2018. While majority of sales come from urban cities, the brand is also seeing a 16.1% rise in revenue from Tier II cities such as Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore and Ludhiana. With the foray into the Sexual Wellness category, SKORE aims at 25% growth within the next three years and aims to capture 15% market share within the next 5 years.
“As of September 2019, SKORE’s market share in Maharashtra’s Rs. 145 crore commercial condom segment stood at 10%. While the segment in Maharashtra is growing at 2%, the SKORE brand has witnessed a 17% growth in value in the region. Currently we hold the number 2 spot in Maharashtra when it comes to commercial condom sales in urban areas. With the launch of our new range of sexual wellness products, we intend to propel ourselves to become the market leader in this segment for the region. We are also looking to increase our reach in terms of distribution by outlet expansion and raise consumer awareness for which we are initiating a new TV campaign,” said Mr. Vishal Vyas, General Manager- Marketing at TTK Healthcare Limited.
“On the national level, taking a cue from the western markets and the demand for sexual wellness products in the country, we want to rapidly expand our sexual wellness portfolio with a slew of products that are in the pipeline and going to be available to consumers within the end of this year. These include a climax delay spray, a single-charge vibrating ring, a rechargeable variant of the ring and a remote-controlled version as well.”Concluded Mr. Vyas.
Skore Vybes and Shiver are available at major chemists and retail outlets in Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai and on Snapdeal. The Skore Buzzz variant is currently available on Snapdeal and will be available on Amazon from next week.
